Upgraded: Rise Of The CyberKid-Chapter 44: Working In a Mine

Eva led her father to a private room and sat there facing him.

Her dad sat opposite her waiting for her to speak.

"You know of my mind reading skills right?" Eva asked.

"I am quite familiar with it yeah, you used it on me once." The king said as he was lost in thought.

"Yeah, I used it on Dexter and as it turns out, I sensed two minds in him."

The king gave her a questioning gaze as if asking her to continue.

"As you know a person is meant to have only one mind space, but when I looked into his mind I felt two."

The king listened to what Eva said and stroked his chin in thought.

"Could the chip he was searching for actually be in him, but the surgeon searched and found nothing." The king thought.

The king was confused at the moment and didn’t know what to believe, one thing was sure though, that Dexter kid was special.

"Ok Eva here is what I propose, I will put Dexter in your custody, you are in charge of him and if you find out something unusual report to me."

Eva was pleased with that decision, it was exactly what she wanted and she also wanted to find out more about the human species.

"You may go now." The king said and Eva stood up and left.

Dexter had woken up from his sleep and felt a sharp pain in his head.

"Urgh, why does my head hurt!" Dexter groaned while rubbing his head.

"You are finally awake?" Ana asked.

"Yeah, Ana what happened?" He memory was only vague and he had no idea what happened after the anesthesia was injected into him, but he knew Ana knew.

"Simple, they did a surgery on you in search of me." Ana said.

"Why would they be in search of you?" Dexter asked.

"That is not important, all that matters is that you should not talk to me when Eva is around."

"Eva? Who’s Eva?" As if on queue Eva walked in.

"Hi, Dexter remember me." Eva said with a smile.

"How would I forget, so are you back here because you miss me." Dexter said with a grin.

Eva looked at him in disdain and didn’t answer.

"Follow me." She said and turned around.

"Where are we going?" Dexter asked, he didn’t feel safe around Eva.

"I am not going to hurt you, if I did want to hurt you I would have done it a while ago."

Dexter thought about what she said and found out it made sense, he stood up from the bed and followed her.

After they walked for a while, they stopped in front of a space ship.

Dexter was always stunned everytime he saw these spaceships.

Their level of tech was beyond what earth could ever have.

Even achieving wormhole travel, that was insane.

Eva led Dexter to the huge door behind the space ship and swiped a card.

Then a mechanical woman’s voice was heard.

"Welcome Princess Eva"

After the door opened up and they both went in.

In the cockpit, it was even more amazing, it used holographic images to fly the ship and everything about the design looked so futuristic.

Especially the chair which caught Dexter’s attention, the chairs were hovering above the floor but we’re not unstable and wobbly.

They were perfectly secure plus the light coming out of the space between the chair and the floor made it look even better.

Dexter at the moment was admiring the creativity as well as trying to figure out how it worked.

After a few seconds of thinking, he realized how the engineering worked.

Then the interface showed up,

Dexter found out that if he understood the tech of these aliens it would increase his stats and he was elated.

Eva saw Dexter getting excited after looking at a chair and it increased her disdain for his race.

If only she knew that Dexter was actually the best among his race, if it was someone else that entered or even saw this spaceship they wouldn’t have been able to sit still.

"Would you sit already, we are about to launch." Eva demanded.

Dexter nodded and immediately sat down.

Boom

All of sudden Dexter felt a huge amount of force on his body that pushed him towards his seat, it wasn’t unintentionally, the spaceship can actually launch at a more comfortable speed but Eva wanted to test Dexter.

When she looked back to see how Dexter was doing she was shocked.

At the moment he was comfortably sitting on his seat like nothing happened.

This improved how Eva saw him but she still held disdain for him.

In a flash a worm hole portal opened in front of them and they went in.

In a few minutes Dexter and Eva arrived all the way in another galaxy.

Dexter was still recovering from the wormhole as he still hadn’t gotten used to it.

As he looked up he saw a huge pinkish red planet in front of him.

At first he thought it was mars but realized that the color was not the same.

"What is this place?" Dexter asked.

"You would know when we get there."Eva said and flew the spaceship over.

They landed in a base that seemed to have been set up by the Blue Sapiens.

After landing both Eva and Dexter walked out.

Most people recognized Eva but looked at Dexter weirdly.

Eva led him to a huge dome, in the dome Dexter noticed it was made out of the blue crystalline substance and thought it was like metal to them.

Eva lead Dexter to a room and knocked on the door.

"Come in." The person said in the other end.

Eva and Dexter walked in.

When the person in saw it was Eva, he immediately straightened up.

"Princess Eva, what can I do for you?" The man asked.

"Rick I would like for you to enroll him in the mining sector." Eva said.

Of course Rick could not deny it as it was a direct order from the princess.

Dexter on the other hand was about to oppose when the interface appeared before his eyes.
