Urban LitRPG System-Chapter 74 - 888-8888-888
" Max, howβve you been? "
Jeanne seated herself beside him comfortably without hesitation, dropping her bag near her feet, she was looking less sultry and more like a normal friend today, her hair tied loosely and her expression relaxed, and her behavior had a very positive attitude, almost cheerful compared to yesterday. πππππ°π²π―π»ππππΉ.ππ¨π
" Fine, How about you? Everything good? Eaten well? "
" Yes, Here the thousand euro I owe you, my Daddy sent me money yesterday after I went to the hotel "
Jeanne pulled out ten brand new hundred-euro bills from her backpack and carefully placed them in front of him, the crisp notes still stiff and straight, then she slid them toward Max with a small proud smile, Max took them calmly without counting, he didnβt want a friend to owe him anything, she was a nice person and was desperate yesterday, and that was reason enough.
" Thank you "
" No, I should thank you for all that food, I burnt half of it "
Jeanne smirked playfully after saying that, remembering the kitchen disaster, Max smiled as well, shaking his head slightly at the memory, while Finn just stared at the money for a second and then looked away, making a disgusted face at the air as if he was offended by how casually they were flirting.
" Any plans today? "
Max asked both of them as he stood up and adjusted the strap of his bag on his shoulder, Jeanne shook her head lightly with a relaxed smile while Finn nodded his head with his usual confident grin.
" I plan on discussing life around the campus "
Finn answered with a smile that looked a little too confident for someone with dark circles under his eyes, the faint shadows showing he studies late at night and flirts around during the day without proper sleep.
" I donβt have any plans, I want to go back and study "
While Jeanne clearly takes her studies very seriously, her laptop already open again as if she was mentally prepared to review something the moment she returned, Max realized being a medical student, his own effort felt very minimal compared to theirs, especially seeing how casually they handled pressure.
Guess, I also need to focus more.
Max nodded his head lightly as if agreeing with himself and took his leave without hesitation, he wanted to discuss a few things with his bank and withdraw cash today before four in the afternoon, planning the timing carefully in his head, then he would go home, eat lunch properly and start studying without wasting more time.
This Jenny is a very good teacher, she although paused many times but still covered so much in class.
Max walked along the paved path that ran beside the wide university field, the grass stretching open on one side and the campus buildings standing tall on the other, a soft breeze moving across the ground while students crossed in different directions, while thinking about the class he had today.
Jennifer was an excellent teacher, sharp and precise, she was on point and taught with quiet confidence and grace, never wasting a minute and never losing control of the room even when she paused for him.
Max sat on his bike and started the engine, the sound roaring louder than most vehicles on campus, drawing instant attention from nearby students, this bike really made a lot of noise and always grabbed eyes whenever he drove it through the campus roads, some turning to look, some whispering as he slowly rolled forward before picking up speed.
Guess, I really need to fulfill that car mission as well, wait I forgot something? Yeah, Saoirse mission, Iβve to save her from the bullies, Sigh! Never took my self being a hero but here we are.
His destination was the bank first of course because he needed to ask about a loan for buying properties, the engine growling beneath him as he turned toward the main gate with a clear plan in mind.
Max rode out from the university a little after two in the afternoon, the sun still high but softer than noon, traffic was not heavy, he headed toward Schwabing where his apartment was in the club district, his new destination was beyond it.
Passing familiar streets lined with bars, small cafΓ©s, and parked scooters, people sitting outside even on weekdays, the sound of his bike echoing between buildings as he moved toward the Deutsche Bank branch near MΓΌnchner Freiheit, blending into the normal city rush but still drawing looks because of the engine noise.
He slowed down near the bank and guided the bike into a marked motorcycle parking space close to the entrance, turned off the engine and removed the key like usual, the sudden silence making the city noise feel louder around him.
Then he quietly activated his god tier locksmith skill, permanently locking the bike at a deeper level beyond a normal lock, making sure it was fully secured before removing his helmet and holding it under his arm, adjusting his jacket, and walking calmly toward the glass doors of the bank.
Max went to the help desk first, the glass doors closing softly behind him as the quiet hum of the bank replaced the city noise outside, a few customers turned their heads the moment he walked in, not because he did anything dramatic, but because he simply stood out, the lady behind the desk almost stood up the second he stopped in front of her, her hands pausing over the keyboard as she looked up at him.
" This is my Credit Card, check details "
Max pulled out his palladium card from his wallet and placed it on the counter without sliding it forward, the diamond on it catching the light from the desk lamp and flashing briefly, the help desk lady instinctively reached for it but stopped when he didnβt release it, so he tilted it slightly, letting her see the account number clearly, ten eights aligned perfectly in a row, impossible to mistake.
" G...Give me a moment, Sir "
Seeing the unusually VIP account number, her fingers moved faster but less confidently over the keyboard, she typed his account and name carefully, checking twice before confirming, then the details appeared on her screen, most of it marked private and restricted, but one thing stood out clearly, VIP account holder with special status, and her expression shifted instantly.
" Sir, Let me escort you to our Branch manager "
She stood up from her chair quickly, smoothing her blouse as she stepped out from behind the desk, doing her best to sound professional, though the tight smile and slight stiffness in her shoulders showed how nervous she was, and she gestured respectfully for him to follow.
Max nodded his head, then followed along without asking anything, she led him across the quiet banking hall and into the elevator, pressing the button for the nineteenth floor with slightly shaky fingers, the doors closing softly behind them.
When someone else entered the elevator midway, she took a big sigh of relief, pretending to check something on her tablet so she wouldnβt have to speak.
" Sir, Please wait here, I will inform the manager first "
Arriving at the top executive floor, the elevator opened to a quieter and more polished space, thick carpet underfoot and glass walls separating offices, she gestured him to a nearby couch in the waiting area, her smile returning to something professional.
Then she quickly walked inside the glass corridor where each room held private meetings and high-level decisions, her heels tapping lightly as she disappeared toward the branch managerβs office.
