Urban Miracle Doctor-Chapter 929: A Different First Hospital!
Chapter 929: Chapter 929: A Different First Hospital!
"Do you know what kind of person you are now?" Ming Xizhi sneered, "As long as you’re in Zhongzhou, the first document my secretary gives me every morning is about you."
"Am I really that much of a focus?" Qin Han was somewhat surprised upon hearing Ming Xizhi’s words and asked further.
Ming Xizhi snorted coldly, "Don’t get proud. At first, I looked at it, but later, I simply stopped checking. Anyway, if you really caused some trouble, even if I told you not to do it, would you listen to me?"
"That’s quite self-aware of you." Qin Han chuckled.
Hearing Qin Han’s laughter, Ming Xizhi said helplessly, "Qin Han, after all, I’m considered your uncle by marriage. Can’t you show me some respect?"
"Uncle by marriage?" Qin Han was stunned for a moment and then spoke disdainfully, "Did my aunt agree to it?"
"What if I tell this to your aunt, what would she think?"
Ming Xizhi said directly, "I was half-speaking just now."
"In the entire northern district, the real power holders are the six major families, namely the Feng family, Qian family, Zhao family, Sun family, Zheng family, and Wang family."
"However, the six major families are surface-level friendly but not sincerely aligned. Although there’s no apparent conflict, they support smaller families as representatives, engaging in open and secret battles."
"The benefit of this approach is that the six major families never tear each other apart, no matter what."
Qin Han nodded and said, "According to what you said, the six major families are quite complex."
"You noticed it too?" Ming Xizhi asked.
"Yeah, maximizing their own interests without creating enemies. If things get out of hand, they can simply say it’s the decision of their subordinates, and has nothing to do with them." Qin Han said.
"Exactly!" Ming Xizhi nodded and suddenly said, "Qin Han, I realize if you embarked on a political path, you might become a formidable figure!"
"Not interested." Qin Han said indifferently.
Ming Xizhi ignored Qin Han and continued, "And Beijiang City, as the provincial capital of the Northwest, falls within the sphere of influence of the Qian family."
"Judging by what you said, it feels like the six major families in the Northwest have more authority than the municipal government?" Qin Han asked somewhat puzzled.
Ming Xizhi nodded and said, "You’re right, when the six major families speak, it’s actually more effective than the municipal government."
"Because the Northwest region was always neglected before, and the municipal government only recently became formalized. The six major families have been entrenched here for years, creating the current situation."
"But this situation probably won’t last too long."
Qin Han spoke with lack of interest: "Do you have anything else?"
"Aren’t I doing this for your own good?" Ming Xizhi said with annoyance.
Qin Han shook his head and said, "I have other things to do, hanging up first."
He knew Ming Xizhi meant well, but he was uninterested in these matters, so he directly hung up the phone.
Holding the call that Qin Han had ended, Ming Xizhi looked dumbfoundedly at the secretary beside him and said, "Am I not doing this for his own good?"
"Am I crazy to tell him this?"
"If it weren’t for Jiang Wan, would I bother with this mess?"
The secretary on the side wanted to laugh but dared not, knowing every time Ming Xizhi talked to Qin Han, he would end up annoyed.
But there was nothing to be done; it seemed Qin Han was naturally able to keep Director Ming in check.
"Director Ming, you’re doing the right thing. It’s Qin Han who doesn’t appreciate it. If he encounters something in the Northwest later, when he calls you again, don’t answer." The secretary hurriedly said with a smile.
Ming Xizhi glanced at the secretary and said irritably, "Get out, don’t sweet-talk me."
The secretary laughed and quickly left Ming Xizhi’s office, knowing that staying longer would make Director Ming lose face.
Meanwhile, Qin Han in Beijiang City received a call from Sun Pinghui.
"Hey Qin, where are you now?" Sun Pinghui spoke directly.
Qin Han shook his head and said, "I don’t know."
"You don’t know?" Sun Pinghui was taken aback upon hearing this and then asked, "You don’t even know where you are?"
"In Beijiang, but I don’t know where I’m staying." Qin Han replied indifferently.
"That’s fine. Just come to Beijiang First Hospital." Sun Pinghui said.
Qin Han asked in response, "Have you all arrived in Beijiang?"
"We arrived yesterday, now at First Hospital. The situation here, sigh, you’d better come over." Sun Pinghui said.
Initially, Qin Han intended to refuse, but thinking he had nothing to do at home anyway, he agreed to Sun Pinghui.
After exiting his residential area, Qin Han called a taxi, telling the driver he needed to go to First Hospital.
The taxi driver heard "First Hospital" and asked puzzledly, "Sir, do you have a friend admitted there?"
"No, I’m going there for some business." Qin Han said indifferently.
Upon hearing Qin Han’s words, the taxi driver said, "Sir, if you’re going for treatment, I recommend another hospital to you; better not go to the First Hospital."
"Oh? Why?" Qin Han asked in confusion.
The taxi driver smiled slightly and glanced at Qin Han, "Sir, you’re not from here, right?" freewēbnoveℓ.com
"Yes, I’ve only been in Beijiang City a few days." Qin Han nodded and said.
The taxi driver smiled again and said, "Figured as much, if you were local, you’d definitely avoid First Hospital for treatment."
"Why is that?" Qin Han asked curiously.
"Because First Hospital doesn’t have good doctors, and the medical fees are expensive. You could throw away tens of thousands there and the illness might not even be cured." The taxi driver sighed and said.
"How can it be like this?" Qin Han asked in confusion.
"Sigh, even though First Hospital is a public hospital, it’s controlled by the local ’land emperor,’ the Qian family in Beijiang. The Qian family does nothing but exploit people," the taxi driver explained.
"Doesn’t the municipal government intervene?" Qin Han asked puzzledly.
The taxi driver sneered, "How long has the municipal government been here? Can it have deeper roots than the six major families?"
Qin Han nodded, it seemed what Ming Xizhi said was largely true.
As the two chatted, they arrived at First Hospital. Watching Qin Han still walking into First Hospital, the taxi driver sighed, "I told you all this, yet you didn’t listen. You’ll deserve what you get."
After arriving at First Hospital, Qin Han initially thought of calling Sun Pinghui but then decided to stroll around First Hospital.
However, after wandering around First Hospital for a while, Qin Han found the number of patients notably scarce.
Many departments’ doctors were chatting, and some were even sleeping.
Seeing this, Qin Han shook his head and directly dialed Sun Pinghui’s number.
Shortly, Qin Han saw Zhu Muchun walking out from the elevator, and the front desk nurse greeted Zhu Muchun hurriedly, "Director Zhu!"
