Urban Super Soldier King-Chapter 553: Tie Zhuzi Leads the Charge
Chapter 553: Chapter 553: Tie Zhuzi Leads the Charge
"Get out of the way, I was learning to shoot before you even knew where you were," Tie Zhuzi said, his face reddening at the kid’s words, then he fired the rocket launcher.
However, when Tie Zhuzi’s rocket went off, everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Tie Zhuzi with scorn.
The rocket headed straight for the second-floor window; fortunately, its aim was off, or else Xiang Yu, sitting there, would have been in real danger.
Even so, the window on the second floor was blasted to pieces. Xiang Yu, sitting there, could now see directly outside, which brightened things up quite a bit.
Seeing this, Xiang Yu stood up irritably and yelled from inside, "Tie Zhuzi, are you trying to assassinate me?"
When Xiang Yu finished speaking, the brothers in the distance all laughed. Tie Zhuzi scratched his head helplessly and hurriedly handed the rocket launcher over to someone else.
The relaxed atmosphere among Xiang Yu and his men sharply contrasted with the tension of Ba Ge and his crew. At the moment, Du Ziyang was still anxiously pacing below.
Now that Ba Ge was in Xiang Yu’s hands, he didn’t dare to act rashly.
The battle continued on the ground, with Ba Ge’s men losing confidence as the fight dragged on. They had already taken part in one battle earlier.
Their ammo supply was running low, and now they were exchanging fire with Tie Zhuzi and his crew. Plus, Tie Zhuzi and his men were hiding in the dark corners around them, forcing them to use more bullets firing indiscriminately.
This led to a problem: although Ba Ge’s men were well-trained and armed, they were running out of bullets.
Though Tie Zhuzi might be simple, he was no fool. He first had some brothers fire wildly to draw the enemy’s attention and waste their elixir.
Once their shooting slowed down, he then ordered another group to start firing. It had to be said that Tie Zhuzi’s tactic worked well.
By the time the first round was over, most of Ba Ge’s men were out of bullets. Without ammo, their guns were no different from fire sticks.
"You might as well surrender quickly. I have plenty of rockets here. Otherwise, I’ll have to fire a few more rounds at you," Tie Zhuzi’s voice boomed, loud enough for everyone on the scene to hear.
Seeing Tie Zhuzi loading his launcher, many people hid away, including his own brothers. As they witnessed this, they also instinctively stepped back.
They had seen Tie Zhuzi’s marksmanship and knew they could very well end up risking their own lives.
Tie Zhuzi fumbled around for quite a while before he got it right and then aimed the rocket launcher at Ba Ge’s men.
"I’m giving you one more chance to surrender. Don’t blame me for not being civil if you don’t," Tie Zhuzi declared magnanimously.
Death isn’t scary; what’s frightening is the process of waiting for death. In prison, many people are sentenced to death. It is not the execution that truly kills them, but the fear they scare themselves to death with.
"Hold on, hold on, I surrender," suddenly one of them cried out, raising his hands.
When it comes down to it, there’s always someone who is a coward.
When one person opts to surrender, a second and then a third will follow. Gradually, more and more threw down their guns and walked to the middle.
Meanwhile, Du Ziyang, anxious downstairs, was thinking of a strategy. His job was to ensure the boss’s safety, but at this point, he had failed to do his duty.
When Du Ziyang heard the gunfire outside had ceased, he finally came out. He saw his men, one by one, squatting in the middle with their guns discarded on the ground. fɾēewebnσveℓ.com
"What are you doing, all of you, get up," Du Ziyang stepped forward and implored his brothers.
But no one was willing to listen to him. In the face of death, most people still chose survival.
"Everyone get up, or I’ll shoot you," Du Ziyang became annoyed and then threatened his own brothers with a gun.
Tie Zhuzi, positioned on a higher spot, couldn’t bear to watch. He hoisted a rocket and fired it at Du Ziyang. Du Ziyang, being a skilled fighter, sensed the threat and performed a backward roll to evade.
However, he overestimated Tie Zhuzi. Although Tie Zhuzi aimed at him, the rocket did not head for Du Ziyang but veered off course and hit the bottom of the villa.
"Come with me," Du Ziyang yelled to the remaining brothers who hadn’t surrendered. There weren’t many left, as most had already thrown down their guns and were squatting there.
"You guys guard the door well; don’t let anyone through," Du Ziyang instructed before quickly rushing upstairs.
There was no time for second-guessing now; it was a fight to the death sooner or later.
Xiang Yu, standing above, had already sensed Du Ziyang running up. By the time he turned to threaten the other man, it was already too late.
He saw Du Ziyang rapidly ascend, his gun aimed directly at Xiang Yu. He intended to shoot Xiang Yu dead and then get the boss to safety.
What puzzled him, though, was that Xiang Yu, seeing this, was neither panicked nor showed any intent to counterattack. Perhaps he was seeking death after all.
In an instant, many thoughts flashed through Du Ziyang’s mind. He had planned to simply finish off Xiang Yu, but suddenly he felt a pang of reluctance.
He had heard of Xiang Yu’s story and knew that within a short time, he had climbed to his current position. Du Ziyang held a degree of respect for him.
Having decided not to kill Xiang Yu, his gun shifted away, aiming to hit beside Xiang Yu’s body. But before he could fire, a bullet struck the barrel of his gun.
Du Ziyang felt a numbness in his hand, blood erupted from his palm, and his handgun was destroyed. Du Ziyang did not go to pick up the gun but stood there, stunned.
Only then did he realize why Xiang Yu was so calm; he had already arranged for a sniper to be in position from afar.
If the sniper had aimed at his head just now, he would be dead. It was only now that he began to grasp the true horror of Xiang Yu.
"You’d better not make any rash moves, or you’ll end up dead," Xiang Yu said calmly.
Du Ziyang was no fool. With a sniper in the distance, any slight untoward movement could result in being shot dead. With that in mind, he quickly raised his hands.
"Boss, I’m sorry I couldn’t protect you," Du Ziyang said guiltily, looking at the fallen Ba Ge on the ground. He was struggling to protect himself now, let alone Ba Ge.
In the darkness, Xiao Xuan watched intently from afar. If anyone attempted to harm Xiang Yu, he would show no mercy.
Meanwhile, outside, Tie Zhuzi was cautiously leading his men closer. If both parties were fighting fairly, Tie Zhuzi and his men would have stood no chance against these adversaries.
But fairness was rare in their world. They had used these very tactics just moments ago to conquer Zhong Huashan’s stronghold.
They took advantage of the chaos within Zhong Huashan’s ranks to storm in and subsequently wiped out his forces.
Now, Tie Zhuzi and his men were seizing the element of surprise just as well. This was the classic case of "fighting fire with fire"...
