Yujun’s POV

"Seriously" Jaehyun mutters while chuckling at his mother’s joke with his face buried in my neck.

The room is full of pheromones from blushing people, Yeon-ssi really turned the place upside down with his last statement and the only person laughing is Jaehyun.

Jaehyun is really his son, with the same humor, the same playfulness, and same silliness.

"Let’s hurry and make another baby soon" Jaehyun says against my neck, and I jab him in the rib, "shut up, you idiot" I say.

"Ow" he says like a baby and wraps his arms tighter around me.

My heart flutters at the way his smell warms, like he’s right where he wants to be, just the same way I feel.

"Yujun Oppa, your cheeks are so red" Yunah says and I feel my face get even hotter, "get away from me, you overgrown puppy" I say and push Jaehyun off me.

I walk over to Yunah and Gawon, they look so close to each other, it makes me wonder what happened between them when I passed out.

"The both of you..." I start and Yunah beams at me before moving closer to hug Gawon more, Gawon’s eyes drop to the floor as a hint of red appears on her cheeks.

"What’s going on?" I ask gently.

"Your pup is going to have two aunts" Yunah says and I blink, "really?" I ask and she nods happily but worry fills my mind...she met Yoon Sehwa and fell too soon.

Gawon might be good but Yunah is too tender for another heartbreak.

"Yunah...are you sure about this?" I ask quietly and she nods her head, "she’s my mate" she says.

"Mate?" I ask and Jaehyun hugs me from behind, sliding his hand down to cup my baby bump and distracting us as everyone’s attention shifts to my growing bump.

"Oppa! Your baby is growing big" Yunah gasps and I turn my head to look at Jaehyun, wondering why he suddenly made us change topic.

"Not right now" he whispers in my ear and kiss the side of my head.

"Oppa, can I see?" Yunah asks and I pull up the Jaehyun’s top I’m wearing for her to see my small bump.

Both Yunah and Gawon gasp as they look at my belly in awe.

"There’s really a baby growing in here" Yunah says in a soft voice and teary eyes, "yes" I say softly.

"I’m so happy" she says and looks at Gawon, the other woman has her eyes fixed on my belly but doesn’t say anything.

My heart aches for her, she might be thinking of her sister, in love, pregnant and now...gone...dead.

I pull the shirt down and give them a warm smile.

Jaehyun stays glued to my back, a behavior that should be unalpha-like, a behavior that both the alpha men and women of my clan look down on.

"Have you thought of your pup’s gender?" Gawon asks quietly, speaking for the first time since we’ve been in this kitchen and I look at Jaehyun.

I haven’t been given a moment to think of anything aside from my pup’s survival.

I have had a million thoughts in the past week, thoughts on how to make sure I don’t stress my pup, on making sure my father doesn’t get to me, and making sure Chan doesn’t harm me...never about the baby’s gender.

"I want a girl" Yunah says brightly.

"It will be fun, I will teach her everything I learned from college, she will be a star" she continues.

"What if it’s a boy?" Gawon says and Yunah pouts, "that will be cute too" she says.

"What if it’s twins?" Jaehyun asks and rests his chin on my shoulder.

"Twins?" I ask, surprised at his thinking.

"I might have added another in there last- ow!" he exclaims as I jab him in the rib again.

"Shut up, you’re not allowed to speak again" I hiss at him, and he makes a zipping motion with his hand and mouth.

"Ah, really, Jaehyun oppa looks like Hwang dad but acts so much like Yeon mom" Yunah shakes her head.

"What about baby names?" Gawon asks and Jaehyun squeezes my waist gently.

I immediately think back to the jellyfish and the water I have been seeing since I conceived my pup, knowing that a good name will be water related.

"Haeri?" I ask and Jaehyun hums, the vibration spreads through my body and I lean back into him.

"If it’s a girl Haeri and if it’s a boy Seoha ,what do you think?" I ask quietly and Jaehyun kisses my temple.

"It’s beautiful, I can’t wait to meet our little Haeri or Seoha" he says and I feel a tear drop on my neck.

I crane my neck to look at him, "you’re crying?" I ask.

"No" the alpha says and hides his wet face in the crook of my neck again, I can smell the joy in his pheromones.

"Don’t cry" I coo at him, and he mumbles a muffled, "I’m not crying"

"Wow, you two are so cute" Yunah says.

"They are making me sick" Gawon says under her breath and I chuckle, this tsundere.

She’s judging while holding Yunah to her chest like the girl would disappear if she let go for a second.

"They are cute" Yunah argues back and I shake my head.

What is with the Hwang and turning everyone into lovesick puppies?

Someone walks into the kitchen with a straight face and looks at Jaehyun.

"Young Lord, you need to see the news right now sir" the man says and Jaehyun frowns.

"What?" he asks and the man nods his head towards the living area.

"Let’s go" I say to him and the four of us follow the man out of the kitchen to the big television displaying the news.

"The Kang dynasty is about to live up to its name as underground heir finally makes himself known" the tv anchor says and the camera moves to show the man that has marked himself in my head.

Kang Chan.

"Isn’t that the asshole that was..." Jaehyun asks and looks at me, but my eyes are fixed on the screen as his words keeps coming.

The camera zooms in on Chan’s face, and he smirks before opening his mouth.
