Yujun’s POV

One week later

"Why am I being dragged around?" I whine as a group of omegas pull me around, taking me to an ’omega only’ special space.

They are so happy as they throw me in and make me sit on a soft bed, "what is happening?" I ask in confusion.

It has only been one week since I became a part of the clan, and it already feels like I’ve been here all my life.

"I told you he forgot!" one of the omegas exclaims and I can’t help but laugh at her dramatic stance, I learned her name is Seoyeon and she talks the most out of all the omegas.

"Seoyeon, calm down" Jinsol says and looks at me sternly, "you really forgot, Oppa?" the young girl asks and I shrug, I don’t even know what they are talking about!

"Girls! it’s fine, oppa just got installed as leader of two clans, it’s forgivable" Rahee says and I sigh, "am I going to be told why I have been kidnapped by you girls?" I ask and they finally look at me.

Seoyeon puts her hands on her hips and lets out a dramatic sigh, "oppa, you really don’t know?" she asks and I look at their collectively disappointed faces.

"Your wedding day is today" Jinsol says with a tired huff and smacks her forehead, "what?" I ask, completely dumbfounded and all of their jaws drop as I stare at them with disbelief.

How is that even possible?

’One week time’ my own words come back to me and I smack my forehead.

"Wow...wow I can’t believe this, I forgot my own wedding" I exclaim and put my hands on my head, "you’re lucky you have us, aigoo, how did you not notice all the changes around?" Hana asks and I smack my forehead again.

Hwangyeon has always been a lively place, so I expected nothing less when I saw the buzz in the air, the happiness of the older omegas and the giggling of kids.

I chose to dive immediately into work after one more day of nesting with Yeon and Haeri, learning the customs and expectations, Lord Hwang has stepped back for a bit and is letting Jisung teach me.

I have been too busy learning and observing the tension between Jisung and his beta guard to realize that it’s my own wedding preparation week.

The day I chose the wedding to be all by myself!

"I need to see Jaehyun" I say and they frown at me, "the bride isn’t permitted to see the groom on the wedding day, don’t be silly oppa" Seoyeon says and I make a face that sends them into fits giggles.

"What if he’s the bride?" I ask and they all pause to look at me as if they are really thinking about it.

"Ey, no way Jaehyun oppa looks like a tall tree that should be climbed" one of the silent omegas says and my omega perks up with a growl.

The growl is so loud and unexpected that the whole room freezes at my aggressive response, "sorry, I didn’t mean to growl" I apologize immediately.

"I’m sorry Lord Yujun, I will watch my mouth" the girl says, turning red with embarrassment.

The room remains silent for a few more seconds before Seoyeon giggles and breaks the tension, "but oppa, is Jaehyun hyung really the bride?" she asks.

"I let him be the groom at times in our bedroom" I say playfully and they collectively groan.

"We have another Yeon mom now" some says and the rest starts to giggle, "alright, let’s get to work" Jiyeon says with a clap, and they keep bickering as they sit around me. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

They start to clean my face with wipes and start to apply make up on me, I sit still as they take their time to beautify me...I still can’t believe that today is my wedding.

I wipe my hand on my lap nervously as they chat and work, unable to do anything as it dawns on me that Jaehyun prepared for it all alone, he has been sneaking out early and coming in late.

I tried asking him what he’s busy with while being busy myself, and he never gave me a response, only a smile and a kiss.

I’m marrying the love of my life.

’Our alpha, our...mate’ my omega says and my eyes fills with tear.

"Aww...don’t cry" Seoyeon says and the other omega get closer to me, not to poke nose but to collectively hug me, cocooning me in a warm wall of comforting scents.

My heart feels tight, but I try to hold back the tears, they keep on dressing and preparing me for the wedding, and when they are done they all leave the room.

I don’t sit alone for too long, the door is opened behind me and as I turn my head, I find Yeon looking at me.

The man looks exactly like what he is, a luna, his eyes are blue as he approaches me and presses a kiss in my braided hair.

"Mom" I murmur and he stays still, letting me wrap my arms around his waist, "you look the most beautiful" he says and I sniffle.

The crying is back.

"I didn’t even realize..."

"We know, you honest boy, we know you were worried about the clan and it’s safety, that’s why you were unaware" he says, giving me an excuse.

"I haven’t even married him yet and I’m already a failure" I mutter and he leans back, the luna looks at me carefully before giving me a knock at the center of my head.

"MOM!" I say and he gives me a ’shut up’ look.

"You are not allowed to talk down on my son" he snarls at me and a tear slip out of my eye, "the girls will kill me for ruining their hard work" I say and Yeon raises his hands, "well...you’ll have to deal with it darling" he says.

"My husband will be here in a few minutes to walk you down the aisle" he says and I nod nervously, "see you soon, pup" he says and hands a box to me.

"I wore this for my wedding" he says and my eyes widen as open it, it would be such an honor to wear the dress of the omega that gives me so much confidence...so much confidence and love that surpasses my own mother’s.

"Don’t cry anymore, Seoyeon will talk your ears off, her mother did same to me" he says and I chuckle as he leaves.

I’m wearing Yeon mom’s wedding outfit and I’m being walked down by Lord Hwang...a dream I never had is coming true.

The girls return to help me into the clothes Yeon brought.

It’s a lovely white shirt that is designed like something out of a fairy tale, the pants are finely made too, and I can’t help but stare at my own reflection in awe.

"I look...so beautiful" I whisper as I turn from side to side and the omegas giggle, "you are always beautiful" the youngest and shyest of them say.

"Thank you" I whisper.

Once ready, I step out of the room and meet lord Hwang waiting for me, he looks warmer than I have ever seen as he takes my hand.

"Congratulations, I knew you were going to shine brightly from the day you defended my husband with your life at the hospital" he says and I smile as I remember.

He was holding a rifle and was ready to gun me down that day.

"I’m proud that you chose my little family to love like this" he says and I hug him, the man stiffens for a second before patting the back of my head awkwardly, "thank you, thank you for being a good leader and for trusting me" I whisper.

"I will do it again and again, now come come" he says and breaks our hug.

He takes my hand and holds me till we get out of the building, the whole Hwangyeon feels different, the sky is oddly bluer than it usually is, and the air is livelier than it has ever been before.

"It’s okay, breathe" Lord Hwang says as soon as I find Jaehyun waiting for me down the aisle.

His messy hair is held back with gel, and he has on a suit that frames his tall frame perfectly, his eyes are full of love, and he looks even more like a puppy, his smile is bright and magnetic.

As soon as we get to him, everything disappears and goes silent, I don’t hear anything else with the stupid smile on my face.

I just repeat what I should and follow the instructions, still smiling at him as the alpha and I keep giggling as we hold eyes contact, acting like kids.

"Now you may..."

Jaehyun doesn’t wait for the sentence to end before grabbing me by the back of my neck and kissing me breathless in front of the whole clan.

The cheers grow louder with each second that pass and I hear a loud squeal from my daughter.

So love can be this good?

I break the kiss to see my mom in the crowd wiping a tear...what is she doing here?
