The next day, Rudy made his way towards the divers’ ward, and as he walked, he could feel the tension in the environment.

Although each diver was thoroughly trained, the fear of death could not be removed by simple training.

For many of them, today would be the last day they would remain in the modern realm or the last day of their lives.

He ignored their dark faces, their clenched fists, and just walked forward towards his path.

There was no point in pondering over something he couldn’t control, but what he could do was try his best to survive and gain as much as he could from the old realm before returning to the modern realm.

It took him a few minutes to reach the ward, and as he stepped inside the vast hall from which Bram Malisin had introduced them to the program, more divers entered his vision.

A total of five hundred divers were trained for the program, but three had unfortunate accidents, reducing the total to four hundred ninety-seven.

Thus, each group had seventy-one divers.

’Today’s the day,’ Rudy mumbled in his head as his gaze swept through the crowd.

After taking in the crowd, he stepped forward, and his haloband buzzed.

’Is it master?’

"Trina, huh..." he mumbled under his breath as he did what she said, and Trina entered his gaze.

Seeing that he was looking at her, she waved towards him.

But before he could respond, the male divers standing beside him pointed at themselves as if asking: *Are you waving to me?* And waved back at her.

’How desperate are they for attention...?’ Rudy genuinely wondered as he shook his head and walked towards Trina.

Seeing the pale giant of life walking towards them, the divers stepped aside, and he strode forward without any issue.

As he walked, his gaze fell on a group of divers who had their hands folded on their chests and were looking around with sharp eyes. ’Path of Nature. Concept of beasts... they feel like wild animals instead of trained cadets of the Shadow Syndicate.’

In the next few steps, he reached Trina and whispered with a faint smile, "How are you?"

Trina smiled through her eyes and began typing on her haloband.

[Trina: Slightly nervous, but I know that I can do this! ᕦ( ᐛ )ᕤ ]

’I hope you do...’ Rudy thought, and suddenly his face turned grim.

Seeing the sudden change, Trina asked with sombre eyes.

[Trina: Is something wrong?]

He shook his head. "No, everything’s fine."

She nodded, and a heavy metallic hum echoed throughout the vast hall as the wall before them began to part like a door.

Following that, a familiar voice echoed throughout the area.

"Hello, my sweet little divers! Within the next hour, you will step inside the old realm.

We are all aware of what kind of place it is. We know it is full of dangers and opportunities that can both destroy or elevate us... As the mentor of a group, I wish you wouldn’t meet those dangers, but it would be nothing but my wishful thinking.

For my final words to all of you, and you too. Good luck, my little divers and my lovely student.

You may now walk towards the hoverships that you’ve been designated to."

Just as she spoke the final words, all of the halobands buzzed together, and a displeased expression appeared on Rudy’s face.

’They could do this before,’ He muttered in his head and read the notification with an irritated look.

[Your assigned diver hovership is D4.]

He glanced at the hoverships standing past the gate.

The hoverships were at least six times longer than hoverjets and resembled a centipede, with seven passenger segments and an eighth segment for the control room.

It was also covered in sleek black hypergraphene plates, and each segment had small limbs protruding from it. These limbs concealed energy thrusters.

’The last one is a bit bigger than the others,’ he noticed and said, "May Final Will be with you."

Trina looked at him, but before she could answer, he had already left for his hovership.

’Unknowingly, I’ve become too invested in her...’ Rudy thought grimly as he exhaled deeply.

As he neared the ship, his eyes fell on a middle-aged cadet who was handing spatial rings to the divers.

Rudy reached the cadet, and he offered him a dark ring and muttered flatly, "Wear this spatial ring, transfer everything into yours, and return it."

Rudy nodded, wore the ring, and channeled a wisp of his blood essence into it.

The wisp was so weak and fast that no one could detect it.

He returned the ring to the middle-aged cadet, and he muttered while taking out another ring from the box beside him, "Move."

Rudy nodded and stepped onto the hovership.

The hovership’s walls were metallic black, and white liquid LED lights shed a glow all over.

He climbed the steps, and as he entered the passenger cabins, his gaze fell on various red leather seats and divers who had stopped their chatter and were looking at him with curious eyes.

’The fuck are you looking at? Never seen a handsome man before?’ He muttered in his head as he took the nearest empty seat.

’Just one more hour...’

Others continued to murmur within themselves, and with an energetic hum, the energy thrusters came to life.

The hovership raised itself off the ground and moved towards the tunnels at the front.
