2932 Will Not Break The Promise 6

She indulged in good food and fine wine for the remaining days of her life. As a food connoisseur, she decided to live her last days by feasting on all her favorite food. To do so, she embarked on a brief adventure around all six worlds.

With her tight schedule, she would very often have her meals at different places on the same day. For example, she would start her day in the Monster Kingdom, and end up in a restaurant for dinner in the Celestial Kingdom.

Of course, her frequent visits to the different restaurants had also exposed her to gossip around the place.

These hearsays were typically involving Di Fuyi. His name was well spread to all six worlds now. Stories were created about his legendary encounters and conveyed by the storytellers in a myriad of sequences to the general public. Many were attracted. At most climaxes, the storytellers would often splutter the stories in enthusiasm, thus thrilling the listeners in excitement.

While Gu Xijiu was enjoying her meal in the Underworld, she overheard a storyteller telling his audience about how Di Fuyi conquered the Devil Kingdom. It was certainly exaggerated, but nonetheless, she still found the story entertaining.

No matter how exciting and inspirational the story of a hero can be, there still needed to be elements of love between a man and a woman in order to stir the emotions of the audience. Therefore, the snippets between the creator of the universe and National Master Di were also added to the story to spice it up. Gu Xijiu’s name was brought up quite a few times, in fact.

From the storyteller’s version of the story, the creator of the universe could recognize a true hero when she saw one. She knew National Master Di would ultimately become the ruler of the six worlds, so she assisted him in every way possible, and eventually, they fell in love. However, as destiny would have it, the match between the two would not be blessed. Therefore, the creator of the universe and the master of the six worlds were not allowed to be in love. The disciple of the creator of the universe also played a part in accelerating their breakup. Moments before their marriage, they finally decided to end their relationship. With a broken heart, National Master Di decided to place his focus solely on the well-being of the people.

With damped spirits, the creator of the universe finally accepted their fate and left her emotions behind. Besides, the development of her disciple would require all of her attention.

The storyteller spoke affectionately, with heartfelt emotions poured out into every word. His enraptured audience seemed to hang on to every word he said, waiting for the story to be finished.

Throughout the day, Gu Xijiu listened to some of the stories while indulging in wine. Little did she know that an entire day had swiftly gone by.

The openness of the society came as a surprise to her. They were comfortable to publicly discuss matters relating to the creator of the universe and the ruler of the six worlds. It seemed that the local officers gave the public the freedom to express their opinions.

Although the storyteller had exaggerated the stories, some of the contents still remained true.

All of a sudden, Gu Xijiu suddenly felt the urge to have a drink with Di Fuyi. His wines were indeed one of a kind, and she could not find the same taste anywhere else.

There were only two days left before their next appointment, so she would be able to see him again very soon. Perhaps, she could convince him to have another drink with her before the catastrophic thunderbolts struck them.

Speaking of which, a roaring crowd immediately caught her attention. “National Master Di’s carriage is here!”

Bewildered, she immediately looked out of the window and saw a flying ship that was sailing across the air. No other ship than Di Fuyi’s would make this sort of dramatic appearance.

The curtains were swaying lightly in the wind, giving her a glimpse of the person who was sitting inside the carriage.

The man’s entrance was seemingly more spectacular than the last time she saw it.

Determined, Gu Xijiu decided to teleport into his ship right away. “Di Fuyi, what a coincidence that we are meeting again. You’d better be inviting me for a drink…” Right then, she was stunned by something on the vessel and could not finish speaking.
