Villain in a Fantasy World; I Level Up by Conquering Villainesses-Chapter 35: New Skill- Aether Threading
The next morning, Julian woke up to a new system notification.
DING!
~----~
[You have triggered System Function, Skill Unlock!]
[You have unlocked the Self-Created Skill: Aether Threading!]
>Aether Threading: When activated, you can split your qi into ultra-thin strands to subtly guide spells mid-cast, redirect enemy magic, or bind objects invisibly.
~----~
Julian blinked in surprise.
He almost completely forgot about the Skill Unlock function of the Debauchery System.
’A new skill!’
He was happy, a new skill meant more power.
Looking at the explanation of the skill, he felt excitement course through him as unlike the base Mage Class skills that he unlocked at Level 20, this was another offensive type skill.
And after his experience hunting outside, he quickly realized the foundation where Zaratul took inspiration from for this skill.
’It can be used with Aether Bolt!’
The ability to redirect Aether Bolts mid-air had the potential of increasing his combat power even more, it reminded him of the Centaur’s ability to shoot curved arrows while hunting the Young Basilisk.
To him, the greatest trait of this skill though was its versatility. Unlike Aether Bolt, it had versatile utility.
The ability to redirect enemy magic could prove invaluable against enemy Mages, and the ability to bind objects and enemies invisibly was also invaluable.
It reminded him of the snare arrows used by the Centaur.
With this skill, Julian easily imagined himself tripping an enemy without visible force. Paired with his Psychological Invisibility and Partial Invisibility, the utility of Aether Threading increased his stealth offensive power even more.
With the right usage, Julian could even imagine himself pulling weapons from an enemy’s hand, disarming enemies mid-battle.
The more he imagined, the more excited he became and finally, he decided to observe his current System Status.

~----~
Julian grinned.
Once again, literally all his attributes increased and compared to before, the increase was even more significant.
For his power attributes, his strength increased by a whopping +30, his agility by +13, while his vitality increased by a whopping +29.
For his qi attributes, only his qi recovery speed increased again while for his sex attributes, his Libido increased for the first time by +4.
Julian was surprised.
He looked at Pandora who was still soundly asleep in his arms with a beautiful smile on her face, her sleeping face could topple Empires.
’Is it because of yesterday?’ He thought with a grin.
Thinking of yesterday, his body heated up uncontrollably.
All in all, he was satisfied with his overall growth but unlike yesterday, he had no intention of spending the whole day with Pandora.
He had things to do, and originally his first priority was visiting the library to stack up on even more knowledge concerning the 9 Classes of this world.
After his encounter with the Centaur yesterday, he realized that his knowledge was still not yet up to par.
Going to the library was his original intention, but after unlocking Aether Threading, he suddenly had a yearning to put his newly unlocked skills and traits to practice.
Afterall, he just unlocked 5 new skills and traits with some of them having unique effects that he was eager to see in practice.
And since there was no immediate system mission like the Goblin Nest mission to teleport him outside Dreadmoor, he turned his focus to Dreadmoor’s training chamber.
From his vague recollections of Zaratul’s memory, Julian recalled that there were multiple training chambers in the castle, but only one was exclusive to him and his strongest subordinates and it was located in the first underground level of the castle.
He also remembered that there was a secret door constructed in his bedroom that led straight to the first underground level of the castle, precisely the training chamber.
Julian didn’t hesitate.
He sat up and kissed Pandora on her forehead before swiftly approaching his wardrobe, changing into training attire then he pushed the secret door on the wall open before going underground through a spiral staircase.
Julian arrived at the massive training hall in 2 minutes.
Just like the rest of the Demon Castle that he’d explored since transmigrating, the training hall was built to fit Zaratul’s esteemed status.
The large training chamber looked like it was isolated from the outside world, its massive walls were carved from black stone that seemed to drink in torchlight rather than reflect it.
The air inside was heavy with sulfur, old incense, and the metallic tang of spilled blood which told Julian that someone frequently visited here.
He wondered which of his subordinates it was.
The black stone walls were etched with sigils of binding and invocation, layered over centuries so that newer runes could crawl over older ones like scars over scars.
Some of these sigils glowed faintly crimson, pulsing with an unseen heartbeat while others were as dark as night.
Chains of cold iron hang slack from the ceiling. Through Qi Sight, Julian observed that each link of the black chains were engraved with wards meant to restrain powerful beings.
He was taken aback. ’These chains restrain Qi Beasts for training?’
He dared not think of releasing the Qi Beasts though. With the level of beings in this Castle, he would not be surprised to see Level 50 and even Level 70 Qi Beasts restrained behind those black chains.
At the center of the chamber rested a ritual dais, a raised circle of obsidian fractured by heat and sacrifice.
The stone was permanently warm, and faint embers drifted above it as if gravity already lost interest on it.
Burn marks radiated outward from it in uneven patterns, evidence of spells that detonated here.
Apart from the spell marks though, Julian eyed the ritual dais suspiciously. ’Is this where Lilith perform her rituals?’
Through knowledge from the library, he already learned of the Witch Class’s close connection to rituals and fate. He could not help but suspect that this was Lilith’s ritual ground.
Apart from the ritual dais, alcoves lined the perimeter of the training chamber. In these alcoves, Julian noticed humanoid skulls with engraved runes that were used as spell foci, focusing large amounts of qi in this training chamber.
In other alcoves, tomes radiating qi energy were kept, chained shut while in others, there were different weapons radiating powerful qi energy.
All of them were too powerful for the current Julian to interact with.
Understanding this, he didn’t bother to focus on them as he went straight to what he came here for.
This sound-proof training chamber was perfect for what he had in mind to practice his newly unlocked skills.
Julian’s eyes ignited with a golden light as his red qi flared.
Dragon Breath!
