Villain in a Fantasy World; I Level Up by Conquering Villainesses-Chapter 78: Level 82 A Rank Paragon
It was just a 3 level difference but at A Rank, every level difference is big.
Elena felt saturated with power.
Her physical attributes that have been stagnated for a long time grew finally, making her feel on top of the world.
She felt like she could crush a mountain with a single stomp of her feet.
Her wings grew by half a meter, becoming even more intimidating. With her wings unfurled, thick, long and now oppressive like the wings of a Dragon, Elena felt power and qi coursing through her veins.
Her eyes glowed grayish white with power.
’So this is what it feels like to be Level 80+,’ she thought with a grin. ’Also, I unlocked 2 new skills!’ She was thrilled.
For the first time in over 3 decades, she unlocked new skills as an A Rank Paragon of the Warrior Class.
She had been stuck at Level 70+ for over 3 decades.
The 2 new skills that she unlocked were Absolute Mobility and Qi Weapon Manifestation, both high-ranking pathway neutral Warrior Skills.
With Absolute Mobility, when activated, an A Rank Paragon can run on water, walls, or even air.
This was the ability that enabled both Centaurs, Councilor Wilkinson and Councilor Warren to run on top the water that the Level 89 Druid, Moore summoned in his Water Spirit form.
As for Qi Weapon Manifestation, when activated, it enables A Rank Paragons to form weapons entirely from condensed qi.
If A Rank Paragons already wielded a weapon, they could stack Qi Weapon Manifestation on the weapon to make it even more powerful or to create secondary weapons to use alongside their main weapon.
It was a versatile skill.
Of the 2 Centaur Councilors, Councilor Wilkinson wielded a Great Sword while Councilor Warren wielded a spear.
Even while wielding both masterfully crafted weapons, the 2 Centaurs still used Qi Weapon Manifestation to amplify the power of both weapons, imbuing them with the destructive law traits of the Warrior Class.
After years of being stuck at Level 79, Elena finally took a big leap forward as an A Rank Paragon of the Warrior Class.
She did this with Wilkinson as her stepping stone.
THUD!
The moment Councilor Wilkinson collapsed dead, a deathly silence immediately descended in the ruin of the Central Bank as everyone stared with different complicated emotions on their faces.
The 2 Elves, Susan and Moore especially stared with shocked and incredulous looks on their faces.
Afterall, unlike the Centaurs that already had encounters with Zaratul and Dreadmoor at its peak, they’ve never had to fight against Dreadmoor’s force.
"...!"
In the deep silence, Susan, Moore, and Councilor Warren alternated their gazes between Wilkinson’s lifeless body, the Harpy who just leveled up in their presence, and the eerie chains that were on her hands.
The chains were now dormant, but still looking at them gave them a feeling of dread and stillness that they could not explain.
Councilor Warren could not believe his eyes. ’Wilkinson is dead???’
This Councilor’s eyes widened in horror as he felt like his whole world was turning upside down, he was struggling to accept reality.
Staring at those chains, the 3 of them felt cold like they were suddenly drowning in a frigid ocean.
One word rang in their mind. ’Oblivion’.
Unlike the S Rank Artifact that was bestowed on Susan by the Elven Queen, this was a bonafide offensive Artifact of the Warrior Class.
This was a weapon of war, conquest, and blood.
They shuddered.
Within that moment as the 3 enemies stared in shock, still in his Null Form, Dante was the first to react as he stepped through the shadows, intending to assault one of them from behind.
Shadow Step!
Backstab!
Assassins were masters at taking advantage of openings in battle.
BAM!
Dante’s dagger stabbed at the back of the sole surviving Centaur, missing his spine by just an inch.
Councilor Warren coughed blood as the look on his face changed, becoming desperate.
At the same time that Dante moved, Elena also moved the moment her level-up was complete as she became the second to react.
She threw the chains at her opponents to bind them as she activated one of the 3 effects of the chains.
Chains of Binding Verdict!
The chains lashed in the air like sentient serpentine beasts with venomous fangs, rushing towards the nearest enemy to bind him.
Instantly, the remaining 3 enemies reacted.
Unlike when the battle first started when it was a 4v3 with them having the numbers superiority, the situation already turned around.
Now, not only was the battlefield no longer constrained and isolated, but it was now a 6v3 with the S Rank Coffin added!
They were now at the disadvantage and they dared not stay behind.
They knew that the battle was already lost.
The Chains of Oblivion targeted the injured Centaur first and just as they began lashing towards him, having just watched his comrade die to the same chains, Councilor Warren dared not stay behind as his qi flared violently.
Phantom Step!
Battle Leap!
Absolute Mobility!
The Level 40 Skill, Phantom Step when activated makes a Warrior’s speed so fast that he leaves afterimages behind.
While the Level 30 Skill, Battle Leap when activated enables a Warrior to leap across vast distances or onto vertical surfaces.
By combining these 2 skills with Absolute Mobility, Councilor Warren disappeared into the sky.
BAM!
In one powerful leap, the A Rank Warrior Centaur soared into the sky like a Bird, distancing himself from the Central Bank where an A Rank murder just happened even as he began running on thin air.
With the initial target already escaping its range, the Chains of Oblivion changed targets to the 2 Elves but they were also ready.
Feral Frenzy!
The Water Spirit instantly entered a frenzied state as its qi blasted out like a tsunami even as a flood of water surged towards the chains.
By the time the chain passed through the pressurized water, the Water Spirit already escaped from the vicinity of the Central Bank ruins.
As for Susan, she used Evasion Roll to dodge the first attempt of the chains to bind her. As she rose back to her feet, a sudden gale surrounded her, increasing her speed as she accelerated into the distance.
Within a fraction of a second, the ruin of the Central Bank became deserted, leaving just Zaratul’s subordinates.
They won the battle.
And then...
CREAK!
The coffin opened.
