The massive Pyreton collapsed with a final, wet crack of bone and for a moment, the training chamber was silent except for the slow drip of blood striking the obsidian stone floor.

The great creature lay twisted across the center of the training hall, its massive wings broken and spread like ruined banners, its antlers snapped and splintered from the brutal struggle.

Dark blood pooled beneath its body, running through the grooves of the stone floor in thick red streams.

Standing above it was the Demon.

Julian rose slowly from the last strike, his chest heaving once before he exhaled heavily. On his grasp, the Hell Piercer still hummed faintly with heat, dripping crimson onto the floor.

The scent of iron and burnt flesh hung heavy in the air.

He briefly paid attention to the new system notifications, then he looked down at the corpse of the monster that was at his feet.

Julian felt his Dragon bloodline flare up with pride, demanding dominance and without a word, he stepped forward.

His armored boot came down on the Pyreton’s head with deliberate arrogance, pressing the creature’s snarling maw into the blood-soaked stone. The antlers scraped loudly as the skull shifted beneath his weight.

Julian stood tall over the corpse.

Blood splattered across his chest, streaking his alabaster skin with bloody hues and clinging to the edges of his dark armor.

Julian didn’t dodge it, blood was the mark of a warrior in Gomorra.

His horns cast long shadows in the flickering torchlight of the training chamber as broken pillars and gouged stone marked where the beast had charged, slammed, and thrashed during the battle.

It had been a savage fight, even more than the fight against the Thunderbird as the Pyreton showed unreal tenacity and aggression.

Julian was injured but it didn’t matter.

Mending Touch!

He uttered the incantation as his torn flesh began healing rapidly.

There were claw marks on the walls, and on one side of the training chamber was a torn wing of the Pyreton. Pools of blood and fragments of shattered stone lay scattered everywhere though just like him, the training chamber was already auto-repairing itself.

Julian looked down at the fallen monster beneath his booth, then a slow, satisfied smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth.

’What do villains say in a situation like this?’

"Pathetic". His voice echoed through the cavernous chamber in deep decibels.

Standing across from him by the side, Elena watched with wide eyes.

She expected Lord Zaratul to win eventually, but not this fast. He had culled the Level 57 B Rank monster in less than a minute!

Defeating a Level 51 Monster was one thing, defeating a Level 54 Monster was another thing, but defeating a Level 57 Monster so easily was another thing entirely. It was crazy!

Afterall, the higher the level, the harder it was to level up and the higher the disparity in power.

The power difference from Level 51 to 70 was more than the previous 50 levels combined, and it was even more ridiculous the higher the level.

The Pyreton was theoretically strong enough to defeat both the Thunderbird and the Giant Roc at the same time, not just due to its levels but the nature of its bloodline traits, and yet, just like them it now lay in a pool of its own blood, having fell to the blade of a Level 30 Demon Mage.

Elena’s eyes widened. ’He’s already this strong?’

Julian didn’t demand for another Qi Beast immediately as feeling slightly exhausted, he walked towards one of the side benches to sit and rest.

That was when a stranger swiftly walked towards him with a towel.

"My Lord". He called respectfully, offering the towel for Julian to clean the sweat on his face with it.

Surprised, Julian turned to look at the young man. This was a Beastkin with short brown hair.

’A Beastkin and not a Demon?’ Julian was surprised, he had not seen him before today.

Seeing his confusion, Elena quickly walked forward. "He is one of the newest recruits that were added to the castle a few days ago, his name is Theodore".

"Oh," Julian finally looked at the Beastkin again, then he nodded.

Theodore quickly looked down in a reverent manner.

"You can leave," Elena said while taking the towel from him as with it, she wiped the sweat away from Julian’s face.

Theodore left after bowing.

Attending to the Lord at such close range, Elena could not help it as memories of the past 3 battles quickly flashed through her mind.

’Can I do what he did when I was Level 30?’

She didn’t delude herself. ’No!’

Elena was even sure that as a Level 50 Warrior, even after unlocking her Class pathway, she would have still struggled to hunt and kill the Pyreton.

’He’s so strong already!’

The mere thought of it left her body feeling hot and before she knew it, her cheeks were already blushing red.

Unlike most of the other women in the castle, Elena was a Warrior. As a high-ranking Awakened of the Class symbolizing War and Conquest, power was the only thing that truly turned her on.

Julian didn’t pay attention to her though as he calculated.

He was also evaluating the just concluded battles, analyzing it to see what he could have done better to end the battles faster.

Within just 2 weeks since awakening, he already became this strong but Julian knew that it was not enough.

’This is not fast enough!’ His eyes gleamed ruthlessly.

’My enemies won’t wait for me to comfortably get stronger. If I really want to survive, I need to push myself!’

Seeing how intense his presence suddenly was, Elena paused, then she asked carefully. "My Lord, what are you thinking of?"

Julian finally looked at her, his eyes were sharp with ambition. "I want to push myself," he muttered. "I want to take on a challenge!"

By now, Mending Touch already healed all his injuries.

Julian finally stood up as his eyes gleamed. "Individually, it’s an intense battle but it’s not giving me the kick that I want".

His red qi flared.

"I want a true challenge".

"Give me all 3 Qi Beasts at the same time!"
