Villain Simulator-Chapter 146: My Proposal To Veena
My skill [Concealment] wasn’t [Invisibility], so it couldn’t hide me in plain sight after I was discovered, especially by someone so close.
A familiar figure stood within ten feet of me.
Bleached, bob-cut, untied hair, tattoos on her hands, and a small cigarette between her fingers that she was trying to light.
She was Veena Rathi, my partner in the [Efficient Control of Magic Attributes] class.
Although my body tensed at the sight of her, outwardly, I remained composed.
Thanks to my skill [Indomitable], my mind stayed remarkably calm despite the suddenness of the situation, racing to find the best way out.
I knew this was Veena’s secret smoking spot, which she used early in the morning.
However, I had intended to use this information later and set up a similar situation when I was certain she wouldn’t snitch on me.
Of course, Veena wasn’t the type to break trust, but being careful was always important.
Furthermore, she might be suspicious of my true intentions since sneaking past the academy’s protective barrier in such a conspicuous way while not triggering the alarm was not easy, not even for the best Awakened, let alone me—a commoner boy with no background.
’Looks like I have to move my plan forward. Like Charlotte says, improvisation is the key!’
With the situation at hand, I needed to think on my feet and turn it in my favor.
’I can’t let this opportunity slip away.’
Every thought went through my mind in an instant, and on the outside, I maintained a facade of shock at her presence before recovering with a wry, awkward smile as I greeted her.
"Uh... Hello... Haha... Good morning?"
"..."
Veena, still wide-eyed and seemingly in shock at my sight, even forgot to light her cigarette.
It was as if she had seen a ghost.
Nevertheless, being the shameless individual that I was, when I noticed her lack of response, I pretended to be innocent and quickly mumbled goodbye, attempting to make a hasty exit.
"See you later in class then..."
However, before I could slip away, Veena snapped out of her initial shock and called out to me.
"Wait!"
’Perfect!’
I cheered inwardly, but on the outside, my body froze in place as I turned my head slowly.
"What are you doing here?"
The look in Veena’s eyes changed from surprise to interest and eagerness.
Caught in her gaze, I hesitated, as if unsure of what to say. So I made an excuse.
"Ah, right. It’s the women’s dormitory. Sorry, I forgot my way, hahaha."
"No, that’s not what I am talking about."
She paused, pointing at the boundary wall of the academy.
"You came from outside of the academy, directly through the barrier without triggering it."
"..."
"Come on. Let’s talk. Don’t lie to me; I saw it with my own two eyes."
"Sigh! So what?"
"Teach me!"
She jumped excitedly and came close to me, looking intently into my eyes.
"Why should I?"
"Teach me how you did it, and I promise I won’t tell anyone about it."
"Are you threatening me? I thought we were friends."
My eyebrows furrowed slightly, and Veena flinched at my words.
But then she made a serious face and said, "We are, but rules are rules, and we have only known each other for a week."
"Aren’t you yourself breaking a rule, then?"
I pointed at the cigarette in her hand.
Noticing where I was pointing, Veena’s expression hardened, and she retorted immediately.
"But your actions were more severe."
"True, but it’s not severe enough for execution or expulsion, and the worst I’d face is a suspension or a penalty, just like what you will face for smoking."
I countered, and our argument escalated as we bickered back and forth, neither of us willing to concede, until eventually Veena sighed and admitted.
"Okay, okay, stop! Let’s stop this. I am sorry. In fact, I only wanted to learn the method and have no intention of reporting you."
"You should have told me sooner. And honestly, I can bypass the barrier due to a skill of mine. So it’s unique to me. I can’t teach you even if I want to."
"You could have just told this to me sooner."
"…"
"…"
Silence settled between us, accompanied only by our unspoken words hanging in the air.
Our dumbfounded expressions in that moment reflected our shared stupidity, causing us to both sigh simultaneously.
Sigh.
Sigh.
Following that, we sat on a nearby rock when, as a gesture of camaraderie, Veena offered me a cigarette, which I readily accepted.
"Do you want one?"
"…Yeah."
"I didn’t expect you to be a smoker."
"Why not? Just because I’m a man doesn’t mean I can’t smoke, but yeah, I didn’t use to. I just started a few months before starting the academy.
I knew that, as an elite, Veena too must have read my information and knew about my loss of Nancy about 2 and a half months before the start of the academy, but she didn’t say anything about it since it was a heavy topic.
She simply nodded in agreement, and we sat in silence, the smoke from the cigarette drifting between us.
’Yes, just like that, feel more guilty and pity on me. Hehe.’
Internally, I was enjoying the situation, but on the outside, I maintained a stoic pretense, the flicker of the dying flame in my hand casting shadows on my impassive expression.
As the cigarette approached its end, I decided to break the silence.
"So, Veena. If you don’t mind me asking, Why did you want to learn how to exit the academy that way?"
"It’s... complicated."
She started explaining slowly, choosing her words carefully.
"You see, I’m the heir of the Rathi family, and with that comes a lot of responsibilities. It’s not just about the academic pressure or the expectations placed on me. It’s like I constantly feel suffocated, like I’m living in a golden cage. Outside the academy, there are always bodyguards around me, monitoring my every move and ensuring my safety at the cost of my freedom."
"That must be incredibly difficult."
I responded softly in an empathetic voice, and Veena nodded with a somber expression that clouded her features.
"I can’t even step outside without being accompanied by a convoy of bodyguards. I know it’s for my own safety, but it’s suffocating. There are other reasons too, which I can’t tell, that suffocate me, but it all makes me even more want to experience life beyond these walls, to feel like a normal person, even if it’s just for a moment."
I knew about her other reason, which was her curse, but since she didn’t tell me, I didn’t ask and simply nodded sincerely.
"I see."
A moment of silence passed between us as I got up, extinguishing the cigarette under my shoe.
But then, just as I was about to leave, it was as if something came to my mind, and I turned back to Veena with a sudden proposition.
"Veena, I may not be able to teach you my method, but I can take you out with me. You want to?"
Upon hearing those words, Veena, who had been staring at the ground blankly, instantly looked up at me in shock, her eyes widening in disbelief and excitement.
"Are you serious?"
I nodded, extending my hand.
"It will be our personal secret. I’ll take you with me wherever I go next time. Though the next time will likely be after the monthly test, do you want to?"
Without even thinking, with lightning speed, Veena leaped to her feet and shook my hand.
"I do!! Thank you so much!! I’ll be in your care then."
A genuine smile blossomed on her face, and I also cheered in my mind.
’Success!’
But this was not the last of it.
I wanted more, so, noticing that the iron was hot, I struck it with a hammer and made an offer to Veena.
"Veena, since we are partners in Magic Control class, how about we practice the drill here in our secret time? What do you say?"
"This…"
For a moment, she fell silent.
Her hand was still in mine from our earlier handshake, and Veena seemed to be lost in thought as she stared at it intently.
Even without using any of my Chaos-related skills properly yet, I could see her deep in contemplation about it.
Of course, I wasn’t in a hurry.
I needed to gradually draw her in, so she wouldn’t even realize what was happening, how it was happening, or when it was happening.
With her attention focused on our hands, I suddenly intertwined my fingers with hers.
"Huh..?"
Startled by the unexpected touch, Veena’s eyes widened like a startled rabbit as she looked at me.
"My hand.."
"Oh, isn’t this more focused like this? The larger the contact area, the easier it is to circulate mana. What do you say?"
Veena averted her gaze, her voice barely above a whisper.
"Uh, yes. I agree."
She had a slight blush on her cheeks, but she kept sneaking glances at me as if our interlocked hands were bothering her.
Meanwhile, I shamelessly pretended to be oblivious, maintaining our handhold as closely as possible, as if we were a pair of lovers secretly sharing a moment.
Following that, I focused my mind and carefully began channeling my mana while secretly drawing in Chaos energy from her, so Veena wouldn’t notice.

As expected, a surge of pleasure coursed through Veena as a portion of her Chaos energy flowed into my palm.
"Ummm."
Veena let out a soft sound, her situation apparent as she began to sweat and rub her thighs.
’This should be enough. It’ll be a mess if I do more.’
I stopped there, but Veena kept swallowing saliva, as if her throat were dry.
However, I knew this sensation was something she desired to experience more of, given how long she had suffered due to her curse.
It was a temptation she could never get enough of and say no to. And sure enough, it wasn’t long before Veena made a decision.
She finally looked at me and nodded.
"Okay, I agree."
"Wonderful!"
I shook her hand exaggeratedly in excitement on the outside while devilishly chuckling in my heart.
’Hehehe, my dear has finally taken the bait.’
