Villain Simulator-Chapter 158: Day of the Dungeon Expedition
Sometimes, it’s the smallest moments shared that transform relationships, bringing two people closer and causing love to sprout and flourish. Such was the case with Veena and me. After our first date, I felt a significant shift in our dynamic.
The initial shyness had dissipated, and our touches and conversations became more intimate. It was as if the chains holding us back had vanished. We weren’t satisfied with just one date, so we went on several more.
These dates allowed us to discover how perfectly we fit into each other’s lives. As we spent more time together, our connection grew stronger. I could sense that my dear Veena was almost ready for the next step.
All I needed was the right moment to make her completely mine. Of course, I wasn’t in a hurry. I knew the opportunity would come soon. Having waited this long, I was prepared to wait a little longer.
For now, my focus had to shift to the upcoming Dungeon Expedition. This month marked the end of two months since I started at the academy, and it had been a whirlwind.
The month began with the dramatic event of Alex’s demotion, setting the tone for the ups and downs that followed. Unfortunately, Alex didn’t remain in the F tier for long.
Shortly after Veena and my first date, Alex was promoted again. Although he didn’t make it back to the S tier, he managed to secure a place in the A tier. The academy determined that there had been technical issues with his test.
Given that the test was to assess a student’s capabilities, Alex was given a private retest, in which he excelled without any external interference. As a result, they promoted him to the A tier.
He wasn’t directly promoted back to the S tier, as his initial failure couldn’t be ignored and Lumina Academy needed to maintain its reputation.
Of course, this turnaround was only possible because the Clinton family sacrificed substantial profits to save Alex and their reputation, while also applying pressure on the Academy.
Despite the Academy’s disdain for elite families, the lure of profit led both parties to reach an agreement. After all, there are no eternal enemies, only eternal benefits.
However, none of this affected me.
Although I was now the Clinton family’s prime target, and they were holding off on any action because the matter was still fresh, I wasn’t worried. After the Dungeon Expedition, many things would change, and killing me would become even more challenging for these elite families.
Speaking of which, in preparation for the upcoming Dungeon Expedition, I had a lot to take care of. First and foremost, I upgraded the Soul Bound Contract between Nancy and me to Tier 3. This was achievable after spending several more wild nights with her.
On the nights I didn’t spend dating Veena, I was with Nancy in bed.
Fortunately, Nancy’s affection, after being separated from me for so long, was already on the verge of a breakthrough. As I spent more time with her, we had a lot of passionate sex, during which she used her skill [Peach Blossom Love]. I also told her about the upcoming Dungeon Expedition and the potential dangers involved, reassuring her not to worry if she heard some alarming news later.
With the double-sided attack of [Peach Blossom Love] and the news of upcoming danger, Nancy’s concern and affection for me finally reached a peak, allowing me to upgrade our Soul Bound Contract to Tier 3.
With this stronger connection between us, we could now not only exchange mana, health, telepathic messages, and so on more efficiently, but I could even use her skills at will.
"Phew, finally done."
The intense and frequent sex over the past few days made even me marvel at the endurance of women in this world, who seemed to have an insatiable heat, surpassing even the most energetic men on Earth.
Nevertheless, all’s well that ends well.
With all preparations complete, including purchasing some precautionary items...
"Everyone, please gather in groups as quickly as possible in front of the gate."
... The day of the Dungeon Expedition finally arrived.
*****
"As we have announced several times, the students should be familiar with the basic issues. However, to reiterate, each group has a magic tool to brighten their field of view..."
The day of the Dungeon Expedition arrived.
For safety, one of the academy professors, standing in front of the gate, began explaining the precautions once more.
Originally, this would have been a brief cautionary note, but due to the recent increase in Chaos Organization activities, which I heard from Nancy, there was heightened security, causing a bit of commotion outside.
Moreover, with multiple entrances to the gate, I could see similar scenes at the other entrances where groups were receiving the same instructions.
Watching the second-year students mingling with the first-years as the explanations continued, it felt more like a bustling marketplace than the entrance to a dungeon.
The Dungeon itself was a low-level labyrinth type, already thoroughly explored by the professors. To prevent the Dungeon from collapsing, the professors also safely sealed the Boss Monster in a secure location.
During this expedition, our task was simple: to experience the Dungeon, apply what we had learned in classes, defeat low-level monsters, and safely exit from one of the labyrinth’s entrances other than the one we entered from.
Specially modified cameras, which could be called artifacts, were installed throughout the labyrinth, allowing a team of professors to monitor everything. They were responsible not only for grading the teams but also for responding quickly in case of emergencies.
Of course, the gate’s interior was enormous, with staggered entrances. Despite the total of 10 entrances, it was still quite noisy.
’It’s boring, but I can’t help it.’
It was to be expected.
The unexpected surge in Chaos organizations activities wasn’t part of the original storyline, but I wasn’t overly concerned. I could already guess their motives and knew who was backing them in this mess.
’When I first arrived in this world, weren’t Nancy and I both being chased by a Chaos Worshipper? Heh!’
Sneering inwardly, I took a deep breath and reviewed all the plans in my head once again: how I would deal with Jessica, how I should react during the Dungeon Mutation, how to entrap Rosalie, and so on.
Indeed, the fate of this dungeon was to undergo a mutation in the future, trapping and killing numerous students within. After all, what kind of Academy storyline would it be if nothing happened when the protagonist stepped into a dungeon?
Still, that was a matter for later. There was plenty of time before "that" happened.
"And outside, there are heroes and healers in case of an emergency..."
It was reassuring to see the academy’s thorough preparations for student injuries, as these precautions were going to save many lives.
"That concludes the explanation. Now, we will assign each first-year duo a guide, who will be a second-year student. The three-person team thus created will collect the set of magic tools prepared for you. They all have the same quantity and performance, so come in order..."
The pairs of first-year students were the same duos formed on the first day of the academy in Professor Isabella’s class. As for the second-year guide, who was supposedly randomly assigned, I didn’t believe a word of it.
Before Veena and my turn came, I already knew who our guide would be.
"Next is Team No. 12: Adrian and Veena Rathi. The second-year student who will join you is... Jessica Clinton."
As I had expected, it was Jessica Clinton, Alex’s sister. In any case, at least now I was certain.
’Everything’s right on track.’
My eyes glinted with a deep, meaningful spark.
"Team number 12, come and collect your equipment."
At the words of the person in charge, Veena and I stepped forward to pick up a backpack containing magic tools. Our guide, Jessica, also joined us.
"Ah."
In what seemed like a perfectly orchestrated coincidence, Jessica’s hand brushed against mine. She looked up at me with a surprised yet gentle smile.
"Oh my, it’s you… We meet again. I didn’t expect you to be in the S-tier. It seems I misunderstood earlier. I apologize for my rudeness from that time."
’Ah, look at this bitch, pretending to be kind-hearted.’
Before I could respond, Veena suddenly appeared, grabbing my arm and shouting at Jessica.
"Hey, so it’s you, Jessica."
Jessica’s face briefly twisted with irritation when she was interrupted. Still, she managed to keep her emotions in check, maintaining her gentle smile.
"Oh, isn’t it Veena? Long time, no see."
Jessica’s gaze shifted to Veena’s hand tightly clutching mine, and she couldn’t resist commenting with a look of mock surprise, expecting Veena to stammer and get embarrassed.

"Are you two in a relationship?"
But instead of the embarrassment Jessica anticipated, Veena stood proudly beside me, wrapped her hand around my waist, pulled me closer, and nodded.
"Indeed, he’s my boyfriend."
Perhaps it was because of our growing intimacy and the amount of time we’d spent together that Veena felt confident enough to speak and do this.
Naturally, what was happening didn’t bother me in the slightest. Conversely, I was taking too much pleasure in this particular situation.
’My, my, is she trying to protect me from this bitch, Jessica, so I won’t fall into her trap? Oh, how cute, my Veena.’
Chuckling inwardly, I glanced at the two girls. They had just finished their silent battle of glares, with Jessica eventually relenting. She turned around, picked up the bag, and asked,
"Shall we go then?"
"Yeah, let’s go," Veena and I replied together.
With our agreement, Jessica didn’t hesitate. She started moving towards the dungeon entrance, while Veena and I followed her at a slight distance.
Seizing the opportunity, Veena moved closer to me and whispered in my ear,
"Adrian, be careful. That bitch, Jessica, is Alex’s big sister. From what I know, she dotes on Alex way too much and will surely try to pull something later. I don’t feel good about her being on our team. You must stay by my side."
"Yeah, when they mentioned Jessica Clinton, I already had a hunch. I’ll be careful."
"By the way, sorry for calling you my boyfriend without asking. I said to keep that bitch in check."
"Why are you apologizing? Aren’t you already my girlfriend?"
"I am?"
"You aren’t?"
"No... I mean... I..."
Immediatley, Veena’s face flushed crimson, her grip on my hand tightened, and she nodded repeatedly while murmuring incoherently.
"Yes... relationship... Yes, I have a boyfriend."
Ignoring her mumblings, I made an innocent face and spoke shamelessly.
"So you must protect me. After all, I am your boyfriend. Are you going to let your boyfriend get bullied by another girl?"
My words, which questioned and challenged her "womanhood," jolted Veena out of her trance. She stopped in her tracks, looked deeply into my eyes, and when she saw that I wasn’t joking, she took a deep breath. Her flustered expression turned into one of determination.
She didn’t hesitate anymore. Boldly, she pulled me into her arms and spoke confidently.
"Don’t worry, I will always protect you. Be it this bitch Jessica or anyone else, no matter what the situation is, I won’t let any harm come to you."
Getting what I wanted, I smiled and nodded.
"Thank you. I’ll trust you on that."
"It’s not even something to be thankful for."
With the confession out of the way, Veena was in full swing, pretending to be casual. I also didn’t mention it anymore and simply moved forward with her.
Of course, there was a reason why I orchestrated our confession in this situation instead of a romantic one. Because if I didn’t secure her promise to protect me here, how could I benefit from the guilt she’d feel when she saw me hurt later?
’Hehehe.’
Just thinking about the future made me laugh evilly inside. As for making Veena sad because of my plans, I could only apologize to her silently in my heart.
I had to do what was necessary to make her mine. And the sooner that happened, the better.
