Villain Simulator-Chapter 71: Fall of Daisy
General POV:
....
Darkness.
Endless Darkness.
No matter where Daisy looked, there was only endless, suffocating darkness all around her.
Like a trapped bird in a cage.
’Someone... anyone... help me.’
She yearned to call out, to scream for help, but couldn’t.
Her voice had abandoned her, and invisible restraints bound her limbs, rendering her powerless in this tormenting abyss.
Making her realize that all her frantic attempts to escape this unforgiving prison were futile.
’Where... did it... all go wrong?’
Exhausted, she couldn’t help but ask herself as her mind drifted back to the scene in the headmistress’s office.
’I... remember.’
Richard’s blaming one of them—probably her or Adrian—and the interrogators’ order to examine her— igniting her fear of getting caught.
Daisy remembered that in that desperate moment when she wanted to somehow run away, the Chaos curse in her body unexpectedly spiraled out of control.
"—AHHHHHHH—"
And she screamed at the top of her lungs, suffering from agony that tore at her very essence.
It was as if her soul was being torn asunder, each thread being pulled and twisted in opposing directions.
Eventually, however, the helpless her could do nothing but surrender to it as her vision turned black and her consciousness entered this void.
Fortunately, Daisy’s brain instinctively severed her bodily senses, sparing her from experiencing the full extent of the suffering.
However, even though her external senses were cut off, she was still acutely aware of the Chaos consuming her from within.
’I... am... becoming... a... source of Chaos?’
Everything was just like what Adrian had once described to her.
Nonetheless, there was nothing she could do to save herself.
It was as if her own body was turning against her, betraying her in the most agonizing way imaginable.
Yet, even in the midst of this torment, Daisy could still sense, on some primal level, the Chaos happening outside of this abysmal darkness.
The monsters dropping down from the sky like rain, instructors rushing and trying to kill her to stop the Dungeon formation, and the lives of countless cadets being lost each second.
Daisy was aware of everything transpiring outside and knew that she was responsible for it all.
Guilt and despair welled up within her.
She was terrified, helpless, and alone.
But she didn’t want to die.
And so at that moment, as if responding to her strong desire, her instincts took hold as she subconsciously willed the summoned monsters to protect her at any cost.
Giving them only one order.
’Kill-!’
To kill anyone who dared approach her.
It was a desperate, subconscious plea for her own survival, driven by fear and the instinct to cling to life.
Nevertheless, Daisy knew this was only a temporary measure.
Deep down, she understood that her most formidable enemy was not the instructors or the cadets; it was the uncontrollable Chaos within her.
Threatening to devour her from the inside out, leaving her teetering on the edge of oblivion with no escape in sight.
Daisy’s mind replayed this sequence of events like a haunting, never-ending loop.
Time lost all meaning, and Daisy didn’t know how long she had been like this.
Seconds, months, years?
’I... don’t... know.’
She didn’t know.
To be honest, the Chaos curse that now threatened to consume her had not always been a relentless beast like this.
Previously, it had been a creeping shadow, slowly gnawing at her insides, kept at bay by the suppressants she took often.
But today it broke free, like a wild tempest wreaking havoc within her.
’Why?’
In fact, there was no need for Daisy to question why it had gone rogue.
She knew, deep in her heart, that it was her own doing, a consequence of her impulsive actions and insatiable greed, that made her drink that "Chaos Curse Cure."
At that time, she thought Adrian lied to her in order to isolate her, and she gave in to the temptation despite his warning not to touch anything else.
But only now, suffering like this, when the memories of him saving her life and happy times spent with him, like fragments of shattered glass, danced before her eyes, did she realize how wrong she was.
’I should have... listened to... Adrian.’
Regret gnawed at her soul like a relentless beast.
Unfortunately for her, there was no regret medicine in this world.
’He always... had me... in his... heart.... I was the bad one...Sniff.’
Tears seemed to well up in her eyes, but they too were swallowed by the abyss, leaving her with a hollow ache that gnawed at her very core.
’It hurts!’
Loneliness, suffocation, and despair intertwined, gripping Daisy’s soul unrelentingly.
As the pain continued to surge through her, Daisy found herself teetering on the edge of despair.
The darkness that enveloped her mirrored the abyss that had swallowed her soul.
’I am... sorry... I will not... do it again.’
Finally, in her bleak situation, she fell, was shattered, and, from the depths of her heart, begged forgiveness from him.
’Adrian... please save me...’
In this devastating moment, Daisy desired, longed, and craved only for a glimmer of light.
A way to undo the chaos she had unleashed and feel the touch of his guiding hand to break the unbearable weight of this eternal darkness that threatened to consume her.
’Please... save me... Adrian... Owner... help... me...’
She wanted him to once again come and save her.
But this time, she knew it was impossible for him to come.
Her cries were futile.
’Please.’
Nevertheless, her heart yearned for a miracle.
’Adrian... Owner!!!’
All hope seemed extinguished, and she was about to lose even that last bit of consciousness when, in that dire moment, she heard a voice.
A voice she had wanted to hear the most.
"DAISY!!!"
It was the most beautiful sound she could ever hope to hear—the call of her name, uttered by him who, at the moment, meant more to her than life itself.
"WHERE ARE YOU??!!"
His voice cut through the darkness like a beacon of light, drawing her towards him and closer to salvation.
For some unknown reason, she could feel an unknown connection to his presence nearby.
In his direction, Daisy wanted to reach out to him with her imaginary hands.
She wanted to scream and tell him that she was here.
But the despairing reality once again dawned upon her when she found herself unable to do anything.
’Adrian!!!’
She could only scream in her mind as his voice suddenly stopped coming.
The silence was deafening, leaving Daisy with a sinking feeling in her chest.
But just when she was about to give in to that hopelessness again...
"Thank God, I finally found you."
His gentle voice fell in her ear from right beside her, and as if from the depths of a dream, she felt his gentle embrace enveloping her trembling form.
’A... Adrian~♥’
In that second, when time seemed to stop for her, she felt a soft touch on her lips.
Adrian kissed her.
Their lips met in a desperate, soul-deep kiss, a lifeline thrown to her in the sea of despair.
But then...
Suddenly, a cool liquid entered her mouth through his.
And as his tongue helped her swallow it down,
Gulp!
Daisy could feel the liquid—filled with the essence of life itself—rekindling the embers of her fading consciousness.
Zoom!
With a surge of vitality that suddenly burst from inside her, Daisy’s senses slowly returned to her.
It was as if he had plucked her from the clutches of darkness and breathed life back into her.
Tremble!
Her eyelids fluttered open, revealing his figure.
However, it wasn’t strong, upright, and arrogant like usual.
On the contrary, what appeared in front of her was his tattered figure, showing his struggle and how he risked everything to reach her side.
Nonetheless, his face, despite being etched with the lines of suffering and fatigue, still bore a smile that radiated relief and unconditional love to see her alive.
In that fleeting moment, something changed inside Daisy, and everything else ceased to matter to her.
Her arrogance and pride dissolved, her pain faded into insignificance, and all that remained in her was the overwhelming love for him that swelled in her heart.
"I..."
Daisy opened her mouth but couldn’t say anything.
On the contrary, it was her palm that subconsciously moved and gently stroked his cheek, wiping the blood flowing from his head.
Her gaze drowned in his pure golden eyes, which held such tenderness and concern for her that it pierced her soul.
In that instant, Daisy finally fell.
Lost in his eyes, her heart fluttered like never before.
And with unwavering determination, at that moment, she made a silent vow within her heart.
A vow for him—to him—who had risked everything to save her.
In that sacred instant, she whispered to herself,
’I... Daisy... No matter how selfish and cruel to world... But for you... Adrian... I will happily give my life... any time... anywhere... My Love.’
For him, she would gladly give her life without hesitation.

A smile broke out on her face as she vowed to herself, and in his arms, she slowly closed her eyes in exhaustion.
Drifting off to a blissful sleep.
