Villains Act Shamelessly: The Heiress was the Great National Master!-Chapter 206: Diana Miles’s Situation
"I’m just busy these days, but I’ll have some free time later. We can find an opportunity to properly plan our official date."
Thea Shaw chuckled, "Landon, sometimes plans can’t keep up with changes. You may have time, but don’t forget I have classes every day. We can only meet in the afternoon and evening. I can’t let love get in the way of my studies, can I?"
Landon Ford seemed to be flipping through some documents and casually said, "Next Saturday then."
Thea Shaw: "..."
He didn’t listen to her at all.
After chatting with Thea Shaw for a bit, Landon’s mood visibly improved.
As he hung up the phone, his secretary handed him a file, "Young master, Secretary Miller from President Ford’s side has arranged for someone to enter our statistics department without HR review. It’s said to be President Ford’s arrangement. Here is the person’s file."
Any changes from Warren Ford’s side are promptly reported to Landon.
Landon flipped through the information nonchalantly.
His gaze lingered on the face of the person.
The man had quite an ordinary appearance, nothing particularly attention-grabbing, except perhaps for his bright eyes.
Landon remembered this man.
That day, when he took Thea to fetch his grandfather’s belongings, they encountered this man, who was carrying a box and had fallen.
Landon had a good memory; while he might forget things that happened a long time ago, he retained impressions of someone he’d just seen once.
Especially since Thea had stared at him for a moment longer.
This man’s education was only high school level, but he had self-taught college courses, which were certainly not enough to qualify for entering the group, not even close. The reason Warren Ford brought him in exceptionally was because he saved Warren Ford’s life.
A few days ago, Landon had a dream.
That dream was absurd to the point of being laughable.
But the person in that dream closely matched someone he had seen recently, along with a series of recent events.
He didn’t believe in ghosts or gods, but he wouldn’t dismiss such omens. He also didn’t believe in coincidences.
Landon closed the file, a shadow of an intense smile playing in his eyes, "Keep a close watch."
The secretary responded reverently, "Understood."

On Thea’s side, she received follow-up information from Aunt Yvette Vaughn about the girl pretending to be insane in the neighboring city."
Her mother had already learned about her husband’s infidelity. After her daughter informed her, Diana Miles immediately knew what to do.
She held back for a few days and indeed caught Brandon Morgan’s evidence of infidelity, including his affair. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝒆𝔀𝒆𝙗𝓷𝒐𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝓶
Diana Miles was herself a strong-willed woman, and Brandon’s business was deeply tied to the internet. Diana said if he didn’t agree to divide the assets, she would expose the affair, and the company would suffer all the losses, which Brandon would find painful.
Despite the asset division being painful, there was no other way. Having torn apart, the parents insisted on bringing their grandson back, along with the mistress’s covert pressure, leaving Brandon no choice but to choose divorce with Diana Miles.
The only agreeable part for him was that Diana would take most of the cash assets, but apart from some company shares meant for Nora Morgan, Diana relinquished most of them.
Otherwise, Brandon wouldn’t have agreed to divorce so easily.
Those shares were extremely important to him.
Even with Diana taking the money, it was enough to severely impair Brandon.
"These days they’ve been negotiating the asset division; the procedures should be finalized soon. Diana says she doesn’t want to stay in that city and will probably relocate with her daughter to Aethelgard."
