Villain's Survival: SSS Class Infinite Copy Eyes-Chapter 44. Disciplinary Committee (2)
Chapter 44: 44. Disciplinary Committee (2)
What would make them so terrified that they’d rather blame him than admit they got wrecked by Riven?
Licht couldn’t think of a reason for them to do this, which only made his mood grow worse
This was the problem with Slayer Academy.
People respected the Eight Great Families, but they didn’t fear them.
Grant Greyfax promised to cover and protect all graduates from the Nexus Slayer Academy
That’s why some dared to sniff into his background... to test his boundaries.
The Academy’s protection may have given them the confidence to stand tall in front of him, but for them to make such an obvious enemy of him meant only one thing:
Something inside this Academy scared those cadets more than the name Valtier.
Licht couldn’t help but smile.
"If they’re not afraid of the Valtier family..."
"Then they’ll just have to learn to be afraid of me."
For the sake of his own survival, Licht decided that he had to make ane example out of these two annoying bugs
"Licht, Licht, can you hear me?" Victor asked, snapping him back.
"Pardon?" Licht blinked, tone dry. "Sorry. I wasn’t paying attention."
"Hey, we’re your seniors," Trixie said, her tone sharp but not unkind, eyes narrowing as she stepped further into the room. "You don’t get to brush us off just because you’re Rank 1."
Victor remained beside her, posture firm and collected. "Licht, we’re here to inform you that a formal investigation has been launched regarding your conduct over the past two days."
Licht tilted his head, unimpressed. "Victor and Trixie, right? Then I probably won’t be seeing much of you two after this."
Licht tilted his head, unimpressed. "Victor and Trixie, right? I won’t bother seeing you off as I probably won’t be seeing much of you two after this."
Trixie raised an eyebrow and gave a sharp grin. "Cold and cocky. Are you always this difficult to your guests, or are we just lucky?"
"You may think the Valtier name can free you of consequence, but I suggest you tread carefully"
"You’ve sent four cadets to the infirmary, one to intensive care," Trixie continued, her voice still playful, though a tinge of disappointment crept in. "And with two days of consecutive fights, it’s not just looking like self-defence and bad luck anymore. It’s starting to look like a personality flaw."
Licht heard this and leaned back in his chair, completely unfazed.
"They knew who I was and they picked the fight anyway," he said coldly. "If someone dives headfirst off a cliff, do you blame the rocks at the bottom?"
His purple eyes glinted with disinterest. "I don’t pity fools desperate to prove themselves by throwing their lives at mine. They knew the risks. Patterns only form when people keep making the same dumb mistake."
"Ugh, you’re one of those," she muttered, pinching the bridge of her nose. "Look, slayer cadets are supposed to value strength and honour, it’s what we live by. But this?" She gestured toward his bandaged arm, then to the heavy tension in the room. "This goes beyond strength. This is ’future war criminal’ behaviour."
Before she could say more, Victor subtly stepped in, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"That’s enough for now," he said evenly.
Trixie paused, eyeing Licht for a long beat, then just gave a lopsided shrug.
"You say that you won’t bother seeing us off, but if ts my guess we’ll be seeing more of each other very soon.
"She turned to leave, then threw a glance back over her shoulder, her usual grin returning
"You might be able to scare everyone else off, but Victor and I don’t spook easy. And between the two of us, we’ve got a pretty good nose for trouble."
But before Trixie could continue, Victor stepped in and caught her arm as he gently pulled her back.
"Keep it professional, Trixie," he said quietly.
Trixie rolled her eyes, nudging him playfully. "You’re way too stiff sometimes, you know that? Lighten up a bit, Vic."
He simply shook his head with a small, tired smile as they walked out together.

Meanwhile, at the same time, Licht’s investigation was opened....
In a dark club room on the academy’s top floor, a massive, imposing figure lounged lazily, exhaling a slow plume of smoke, utterly indifferent to the world beyond him.
The door creaked open, slicing a thin beam of light through the shadows.
"Young Master," a soft voice announced.
The figure in the dark heard the voice and shifted, his gleaming green eyes snapped open as he turned toward the visitor.
"The collections from the first week have come in," the voice reported, "but there’s an issue."
"It concerns the first-rank cadet among the first years."
The figure still continued listening lazily, but when he heard the last sentence, his interest in the topic suddenly sharpened.
"The first-rank cadet? Isn’t that the loudmouth brat from the Valtier family at the entrance ceremony... what was his name again... Licht," he muttered.
"Yes. Young master, that’s the guy. Apparently he got into a fight with a few of our guys"
"What’s their condition?" asked the figure
"They’re battered, but their wounds are healing since they sustained mostly bruises and minor fractures. But even if there’s a problem. They fear retaliation from the top-ranked cast and have requested protection."
As soon as he heard this, a dark chuckle escaped the figure.
"Protection? Why? They picked a fight with one of the Eight Great Families. Do they really think in such foolish terms"
"True young master. I even suspect that there’s more foul play about the fight beneath the surface. Still, I advise shielding them from Licht’s retaliation."
The figure’s lazy gaze narrowed.
"Why?"
"Even if he doesn’t want to, a fight with our guys is testing your authority so you must squash him before get starts" freewēbnoveℓ.com
There’s no need", said the figure, cutting the man off
Slowly, he rose, a towering presence like a bear rousing from slumber.
"Why should I fear some kid. If some ignorant cub dares bare its fangs at me... we will deal with it And crush it to the point it never dares show its fangs again"
