Virgin At 25-Chapter 104: DO WHAT YOU ARE TOLD!
Aec continued driving hurriedly towards the Langley mansion... The mansion towered behind its iron gates, silent, cold, mocking.
Aec slammed the brakes so hard gravel spat across the asphalt. Before the car even settled, he threw the door open and stormed out, rage radiating off him like heat.
He grabbed the steel bars and rattled them violently when he noticed the gate was locked and nobody tried to open it up
"OPEN THE GATE!" he roared, slamming his fist against the metal. "OPEN THE DAMN GATE!"
But nothing.
No guards.
No movement.
Just the echo of his fury bouncing back at him.
Aec banged harder, breath cutting in and out, the leftover wound on his ribs tearing with every motion but he didn’t care. Pain didn’t matter. Only his mother did.
"OPEN IT!" he shouted again, voice raw.
Behind him, Ryan finally stepped out of the car. He watched Aec for a long second, watched the way his shoulders trembled, watched the way sweat mixed with blood beneath his shirt and his jaw tightened.
"Aec," Ryan said, voice low but firm. "Stop. You need to leave. You’re not healed, and you’re losing control."
Aec ignored him completely, slamming his fist into the iron again.
Ryan took one step forward.
"Aec." But he was ignored, he took another step...
"Aec, I said stop..."
He reached for Aec’s arm.
In one sharp, explosive movement, Aec snapped around and shoved Ryan’s hand off with such force Ryan stumbled back.
Aec’s eyes were ice.
"Don’t touch me," he growled, voice dropping into something dangerous. "Ever again."
For a moment, one long, heavy moment, Ryan looked like he wanted to punch him. Hard. His jaw clenched, nostrils flaring, anger rising up his throat.
But he swallowed it and said nothing
Just ran a frustrated hand through his hair and stepped back.
"...fine," he muttered, half to himself. "Kill yourself then."
He pulled his phone from his pocket and dialed Tory, pacing with long, furious strides.
"Tory. I swear, if this bastard keeps acting stupid, I’m leaving him here," Ryan snapped. "He’s bleeding, he’s dizzy, he can’t even stand straight but he wants to..."
A sound cut him off while he was talking to Tory
Aec’s phone lit up.
Ryan stopped mid-sentence. "Hold on." He lowered the phone and stared at the screen in Aec’s hand. "It’s him."
Aec froze.
Victor Langley...
Without thinking, Aec answered instantly. "You!"
His voice cracked.
He put the call on speaker.
From the other end came a sound that ripped straight into him... a weak, shaky breath... like someone trying not to cry while struggling to breathe.
"Aec..." his mother’s voice trembled, barely there.
Aec’s hand slashed through the air. "Mom! Mom, I’m coming, just..."
Before he could complete his sentence he heard a loud rustle then a choked gasp.
Then a man’s voice replaced hers, very cold... Victor Langley.
"I went after Sharon simply because you picked an interest in her," Victor said, voice smooth as polished steel. "Don’t think I’d leave this woman just because she’s your mother."
Aec’s eyes went blood-red. His hand closed slowly into a fist so tight the veins in his arm rose like ropes.
Ryan stared at him, expression shifting into something darker, anger mixed with concern.
Victor continued, bored, almost amused.
"I’m giving you two hours, Aec."
A slow, calculated inhale came from the phone...
"If you don’t go home to your wife..."
His tone sharpened.
"Your mother is losing a part of her."
Aec’s heart stopped.
Ryan’s expression changed instantly as his entire body tensed.
A shallow sound escaped the speaker, Aec’s mother trying to breathe through fear.
Then the line went dead.
Aec stood completely still. Silent and shaking ...
Ryan stepped closer, slow, careful, as if approaching a wild animal. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂
"Aec..."
But Aec didn’t look at him.
He didn’t blink.
He didn’t even try to breathe.
He just whispered, voice breaking...
"...He’s going to hurt her."
Then Aec moved quickly toward the car.
Ryan blinked, realizing what was happening.
"Aec... what are you doing?"
Aec looked back at him once. Just once.
"What do you do now?" Ryan asked quietly.
Aec didn’t answer. He just continued walking fast towards the car...
"If you want your car," Aec said without emotion, "you better come with me now."
Ryan blinked. "Bro, what...?"
Aec didn’t wait.
He got into the car and fired up the engine.
Ryan cursed under his breath and jogged over, sliding into the passenger seat just in time.
Aec sped off immediately, no explanation, no direction, no hesitation.
Ryan watched the road blur past them. Nothing looked familiar.
Nothing looked safe.
"Aec, where the hell are we going?" Ryan asked, finally losing a bit of patience.
Aec didn’t answer.
He didn’t utter a single word the entire drive.
Finally, the car slowed... then stopped.
They were in front of a private gate.
Aec got out.
Ryan exhaled sharply. "Here we go again," he muttered, following.
Aec walked straight toward the gate with purpose, like he had lived there, like he had breathed this place.
Ryan threw his hands out, exasperated. "Where are you going to?!"
Nothing from Aec... He didn’t even flinch.
He kept walking.
Ryan stood there watching him, jaw clenching, trying to decide if he should follow or just walk away.
Aec stepped through the gate once it opened automatically, disappearing down the paved path toward a large modern house.
Ryan stared for a beat, then scoffed angrily.
"Fantastic. He’s officially insane," he muttered and turned around, heading back to his car to leave.
Inside the compound, Aec moved fast, heading straight for the door.
He punched in a code on the digital lock.
The door didn’t open.
His jaw tightened and then he tried again...
Beep. Error.
A muscle twitched in his cheek.
He entered it a third time but before he was done the door went click and slid open.
And standing right in front of him was his supposed darling wife...
Diana...
Smiling brightly, almost breathlessly, as if she hadn’t stopped waiting for him since he left.
"You’re back, Aec," she said, beaming from ear to ear.
Hope shimmering in her eyes.
Aec didn’t even look at her.
He walked right past her... Cold, silent, distant, brushing her shoulder slightly as he entered the living room.
Diana’s smile faltered.
"Why did you change the door code" Aec asked without turning back to look at her
"I did not... Your father did"
Aec stopped mid-way but continued walking after a second...
Her fingers curled into the fabric of her dress.
He didn’t turn around. Didn’t greet her.
Nothing.
As if the entire world had narrowed down to the storm inside him and she wasn’t part of it.
Aec’s phone vibrated again and again... He kept getting calls from Tory, Maxie and Ryan
He didn’t even glance at the screen anymore...
He walked straight into his room, shoulders stiff, jaw locked... and froze.
Diana’s clothes were everywhere. Her shoes lined beside his.
Her robe hanging on his wardrobe handle.
Her perfume, strong and suffocating already filling the air.
Aec’s heartbeat dropped into pure anger.
He turned slowly.
Diana walked in with a little smile, completely unbothered, her voice way too soft.
"Your dad asked us to share one room," she said proudly. "We’re married, you know..."
Aec just stared at her, blank, dead calm.
She didn’t even notice that calm was the most dangerous part of him.
"I ironed your suit for work tomorrow too," she added, stepping closer, trying to sound domestic.
Aec finally spoke.
"Get your things out of this room." Aec said coldly with no emotions... he spoke with no space for argument
Diana’s smile dropped instantly.
She frowned, offended, then went still calculating.
And then she said the most stupid, reckless thing she could ever say.
"You want something bad to happen to your mother, right?"
Aec’s entire body froze.
His eyes dimmed like a light being switched off.
Slowly, he turned to her fully.
"...what did you just say?"
Diana didn’t flinch.
In fact her expression hardened, showing her real face for once.
"I said," she repeated deliberately, "do what you’re told. You don’t have enough power to act stubborn right now."
No fear. No pity.
"You couldn’t even save the poor girl..."
She smirked.
"She might have been a fling, but we’re talking about your mother now."
She brushed past him confidently and walked out of the room, leaving Aec standing there like a statue, every breath he took shaking with rage.
Aec’s phone vibrated again with Ryan’s name flashing on the screen.
This time, he picked it.
But he didn’t speak.
Ryan’s voice was frantic.
"Aec... Aec listen! Maxie says Zion has a plan..."
Aec didn’t wait to listen to him , instead he interrupted rudely "You all should not get involved in my family’s issue anymore... I’ll just do what my father wants now "
He was about to end the call when he heard Maxie’s voice from behind...
"Involved with your family?" Aec could plainly hear the pain and anger in her voice...
"Nobody is interested in your family... I need to find Sharon"
