Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 13 - 12: Because She Doesn’t Have a Senior Named Archer Quinn
After Bella Acker went out, the director said, "Her understanding of the role is more nuanced than Sandra Woods’."
The producer laughed, patted the director on the shoulder, and said, "I know. But Sandra performed very well too, and that’s a fact. The main thing is, unlike Sandra, she doesn’t have a mentor named Archer Quinn."
Since they have Sandra, who is professionally trained, decent in acting, and has a mentor who is a Best Actor, why do they still want to look further away?
The director frowned, but he also understood the rules of the industry.
The screenwriter quickly smiled and smoothed things over, "Alright, the audition is over. I’ll treat everyone tonight, how about we head to The Jubilee Hall and grab a table?"
"Sounds good, let’s go."
Bella Acker walked out of the audition room, oblivious to the debate happening inside because of her.
Sandra Woods saw her coming out looking a bit downcast, and she already guessed the outcome. Without asking much, she smiled and said, "I know a place that has amazing hot pot. Let me treat you."
"Sure." Bella Acker nodded with a smile, though her emotions still carried a trace of reluctance.
She had prepared a lot for this audition and held high hopes, but the result was disappointing. Naturally, she felt a great sense of disappointment. However, she also didn’t want to affect Sandra’s mood, so she forced a smile.
Sandra linked her arm and as they headed towards the elevator, she said, "Their goose intestines are especially fresh and clean, and the beef tripe and pork throat are all so delicious. You’ll definitely love it. The best part is their drink, made from a mix of several fruit juices, called ’Forgetful Water,’ it’s super tasty. Gosh, I’m already drooling just talking about it."
Bella Acker laughed, "You have such a great figure, I’d never guess you’re such a foodie."
"I have to thank my parents for that." Sandra proudly puffed out her chest, "They gave me a body that doesn’t gain weight no matter what I eat."
"Ugh, people like you are the worst," Bella Acker grimaced, "I put on weight really easily."
"Really?" Sandra clearly didn’t think so and reached out to pinch Bella Acker’s waist. The two of them playfully tussled at the elevator entrance, laughing together.
"Ding." The elevator arrived, the doors opened.
Bella Acker saw the man standing in the elevator and couldn’t help but be stunned for a moment.
Sandra was also taken aback. Initially standing without any grace, upon seeing the man inside the elevator, she subconsciously adopted a ladylike demeanor.
She held onto Bella Acker’s arm, secretly observing the man as he stepped out of the elevator, surrounded by four bodyguards.
The man was tall and had long legs, dressed in a well-fitted suit and white shirt, appearing both elegant and handsome.
The bodyguard stepped forward, "Could you two ladies please make way?"
"Huh? Oh!" Sandra immediately pulled Bella Acker aside, but her gaze remained fixed on the man.
Bella Acker’s gaze was also on the man, but she wasn’t infatuated. She was thinking. Why would Damian Sinclair be here?
Damian Sinclair seemed not to notice the two of them, walking away without glancing sideways, surrounded by bodyguards.
Bella Acker watched his back, feeling a bit of sadness. When she initially agreed to become his bed partner, he had her sign an agreement, one clause of which clearly stated that even if they encountered each other outside, they must pretend not to know each other.
She was just his secret lover who couldn’t be acknowledged publicly.
Bella Acker felt a bit hurt.
Sandra kept staring at Damian Sinclair’s departing figure, not noticing her emotional shift. Still craning her neck to watch, she excitedly said, "Bella, who’s that guy? He’s so handsome!"
