Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 133 - 132: So You’re Blaming Me?
Let’s not just talk about the Kingston Corporation, which belongs solely to Damian Sinclair. Even the senior employees of the entire Sinclair Group know that their young and promising CEO is notoriously cold and aloof. Outside of work, he’s almost never been involved with any woman.
This time, he actually brought someone to the company, and it’s obvious he’s changed his shirt...
We’re all adults! Based on these signs, it’s easy to guess what the Boss did when he suddenly left the meeting.
Typically, for someone in power, being led astray by desires is frowned upon. But given Damian Sinclair’s perennial icy demeanor, they very considerately chose to stay silent and indulgent, pretending they hadn’t noticed a thing.
Sigh, their Boss getting married sooner is good news for them, after all.
They can’t help but wonder what kind of woman managed to melt such an ice block!
The senior executives were still able to think about gossip while in a video conference.
Bella Acker was sitting on the sofa nearby, waiting. She didn’t know how long she’d have to wait, so she went to the break room to fetch her bag and pull out her script to memorize lines.
But after reading for a short while, she started nodding off, and before she knew it, she’d fallen asleep. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
After filming all morning, traveling with Ms. Cheney back to Creston, and being constantly worried and anxious, she was already exhausted. Then, being further tired out by Damian made her not want to move.
When Damian Sinclair finished his video conference, he looked up to see the quiet little woman who had been rehearsing her lines now snoring softly in her sleep.
Wearing just a long sweater, she seemed even thinner. Was she working hard on set?
Damian closed his laptop, walked over to sit beside her, gently moved her head onto his shoulder, and casually picked up her script to read through it.
Bella Acker didn’t know how long she had been asleep. When she awoke, the sky outside the window was pitch black, with only neon lights flickering.
"Huh?" Bella groggily opened her eyes and instinctively grabbed Damian’s hand to check the time, seeing it was already past seven, almost eight, and she jumped up in surprise, "Oh no!"
Damian looked at her, "What’s wrong?"
"I’ve been out for so long and haven’t gone back yet. Ms. Cheney and Ms. Flynn must be worried!" Bella said as she quickly grabbed her coat and put on her shoes to leave.
Damian raised an eyebrow, "Didn’t you come to see me for something?"
"Oh yeah! I completely forgot!" Bella slapped her forehead and turned to him, hesitating before speaking, "Damian, would you be willing to do me this favor?"
"Let’s go eat first." Damian also stood up, grabbed his coat, and started walking out of the office.
"Damian, it’s really late now, I want to..." Bella followed him and whispered.
Damian pressed the elevator button and glanced sidelong at her, "Who was it that slept until now?"
Bella pouted and murmured softly, "Who told you to wake me up anyway."
Damian nearly laughed out of frustration, seeing that she had been sleeping so deeply she didn’t even notice a phone call, and now she was blaming him for not waking her!
This shameless little woman, as if she always manages to twist the truth to make herself seem reasonable.
Damian reached out and pinched her cheeks, pulling them to the sides, "So, in the end, it’s still my fault?"
Bella knew she was being unreasonable and stubbornly straightened her neck, "Y-Yeah! It’s your place and you didn’t wake me, so it’s your fault!"
