Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 140 - 139: Reluctant to Leave the Warmth
Sharon kind of knew who Bella went out to find, so upon hearing her voice, she immediately asked with concern, "Bella, we’re still in the studio. How are you doing?"
Elaine Vaughn, standing nearby, also looked over with some concern, while feeling a little nervous inside. She thought, wondering whether Mr. Sinclair would be willing to help with this favor.
"Ms. Cheney, I’m fine. Can you wait for me a bit? I’ll be back right away." Bella glanced at Damian Sinclair. "Ms. Cheney, have you had dinner yet? I’m passing by the food street here; I could buy something back for you if you’d like."
Sharon was relieved when she heard Bella’s tone wasn’t distressed. "No need, we’ve already had dinner. Just come back, we’ll be waiting for you in the studio."
After hanging up the phone, Elaine asked, "How’s it? Bella wasn’t upset, was she?"
Sharon pocketed her phone and shook her head, saying, "From her voice, it didn’t sound like she was upset, but Bella’s tone wasn’t entirely normal. Damian Sinclair might be nearby."
Elaine nodded, "Sharon, what do you think Bella’s relationship with Mr. Sinclair is? A kept woman? Lovers?"
"I can’t say for sure." Sharon thought for a moment, then said, "Bella seems unwilling to bring up Damian Sinclair or let others know about their relationship. Whenever it does get mentioned, she looks sad. I originally thought she had been abandoned. But when I saw Damian Sinclair at the restaurant that time, it didn’t seem like that."
"It does seem like their relationship is quite complicated." Elaine nodded, "This explains why Bella was able to sideline Phoebe for the third female lead role. With Mr. Sinclair providing such strong support, Bella could even vie for Vivi’s lead role if she wanted."
"Even so, it seems like Bella doesn’t want to rely on any backing. She’s very hardworking and wants to prove herself through her abilities." Sharon smiled, "Don’t bring this up when Bella returns her skin is thin, and she’s quite naive. Don’t make her uncomfortable."
"Don’t worry, I’ve got it." Elaine said, "Besides, Bella went to find Mr. Sinclair for me this time. How could I be so ungrateful?"
Meanwhile, Bella put away her phone, saying, "Ms. Cheney and the others are still in the studio. I’ll just take a cab back."
"I’ll give you a ride." Damian looked at her.
Bella hesitated for a moment, but ultimately relished the warmth for the moment and nodded.
Damian walked forward with her, opting not to take a cab, but entering a decently decorated Chinese restaurant instead.
The restaurant’s server approached, warmly and politely asking, "Sir, is it just the two of you?"
Damian said, "Pack two meat dishes, one vegetable, and one soup in a wooden box for me, all of your specials."
"Alright, please have a seat here and wait for a moment." The server opened a docket to report the order to the kitchen.
Bella blurted out foolishly, "Damian, you already ate so much, and you’re still not full?"
Two other servers nearby overheard her and couldn’t help but chuckle, quickly turning their faces away to avoid laughing out loud in front of the customers.
Bella also realized she had spoken a little too loudly, blushing with embarrassment. She secretly stuck her tongue out at Damian.
Damian rubbed his brow, then pinched her plump cheeks before explaining, "It’s not for me to eat."
