Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 146 - 145: Cried Like a Little Cat
"Damn! Who would’ve thought that Damian Sinclair looks so decent, but is actually a jerk!" Elaine Vaughn grumbled, "Bella, you should stay away from such a jerk in the future!"
Bella pressed her lips together, her face turning a bit pale.
Sharon Cheney also showed a somber expression, "If Damian Sinclair really wants to play the field, then he is indeed unreliable. But from what I know of him, he shouldn’t be that kind of person. Bella, could there be some misunderstanding between you two?"
"Oh come on, Sharon, Bella said she saw it with her own eyes. How could there be a misunderstanding!" Elaine waved her hand, "It’s said you can know a face but not a heart. Men with backgrounds like Damian Sinclair can easily play with a few women! Moreover, with looks like his, even if he doesn’t make a move, plenty of women would throw themselves at..."
"Elaine!" Sharon interrupted Elaine, gesturing with her eyes to remind her of Bella’s emotional state.
Elaine stopped and then added, "Bella, Ms. Flynn didn’t mean anything else. Don’t cry, we’ll just ignore that jerk in the future."
Bella kept her head down, her eyes already red.
Sharon sighed, "Elaine, don’t make things more complicated. Bella, I don’t think Mr. Sinclair is that kind of person. There must be some misunderstanding. You mentioned the things he keeps; they might just be family mementos, not necessarily from a lover. Like my mom, she didn’t like others touching her things, so even after she passed away a long time ago, her room still remains the same. So, maybe what you saw is just because the original owner didn’t like others touching her things."
"But... but I saw them holding hands and having dinner together." Bella bit her lip, the little hope raised by Ms. Cheney’s words now quelled again.
Sharon frowned, thinking that holding hands and dining together isn’t typical of just friends. After a moment, she continued, "Bella, I still suggest you directly ask Damian Sinclair. Even if it’s true, you can cut it off cleanly. Only then can you let go completely and find happiness again."
Elaine nodded, "Yes, I agree with Sharon. When it’s time to cut, just cut it off; dragging it on ambiguously will only make you suffer."
Bella listened, tears streaming down her face, "Ms. Cheney, I... I don’t want to find out anymore. I’ll never see him again in the future."
Sharon and Elaine exchanged a glance, realizing that the situation between Bella and Damian was more complicated than they had imagined.
But when it comes to matters of the heart, outsiders can really only offer advice, not influence the decisions of those involved.
Sharon pulled Bella into her arms, comforting her, "Alright, if you don’t want to see him, then don’t. Let’s go back and work hard."
"Yes, work hard and make lots and lots of money." Bella nodded.
Her thoughts were still so simple and direct, that both Elaine and Sharon found it both amusing and pitiful.
"Alright, let’s head to my place first. The snow outside is getting heavier, and soon it will be hard to drive." Elaine said, handing a tissue to Bella with a smile, "Good thing you’re not wearing makeup, or you’d be a little raccoon by now."
"Thank you, Ms. Flynn." Bella took the tissue to wipe her tears, thanking her with some embarrassment.
