Warm Married Life: Mr. President Loves His Darling Wife-Chapter 185 - 184: Let’s Never Meet Again
The two fell into silence, and Damian Sinclair took off his coat and wrapped it around Bella Acker.
Bella Acker tried to dodge, but he overbearingly controlled her, forcing her to wear his clothes.
The cold wind swept through the grass, and the once pitch-black sky was gradually showing a bit of white.
Bella Acker lowered her head in silence, tears pattering down onto the weeds at her feet.
Damian turned his head to look at the whitening sky, and after a long silence, finally spoke up, "Is it really your true desire to never meet again?"
Bella pursed her lips tightly, and after a while, responded softly with, "Yes."
Damian fell silent again, his expression evolving from initial uncontrolled anger, to surprise and confusion, then to loneliness and desolation, and finally settling into indifference and calm.
Time seemed to stand still, as if a century passed before he eventually said, "Alright, we will never meet again!"
Bella’s body stiffened suddenly, her heart feeling as if it was riddled with wounds. The cold wind blew over her body, piercing into her and soaking into her heart, making her shiver from head to toe.
She was instantly engulfed by immense emptiness and panic, and looked dazedly at Damian.
The long-awaited sun slowly peeked over the horizon, its golden rays breaking through layers of obstacles and casting onto his tall and upright figure, so dazzling it hurt her eyes.
From this moment on, this man would truly never belong to her again!
Damian turned around and walked back, speaking coldly, "Get in the car, I’ll drive you to the main road to catch a ride back."
Bella hesitated for a long while before wrapping the men’s coat tighter around herself and slowly getting into the car.
Neither of them spoke again.
Damian turned the car around and drove back to the main road.
Finding a taxi in this area seemed unrealistic, so on the main road, Damian stopped a private car, handed over a substantial amount of money, and asked the driver to take Bella back to the hotel.
The private car owner happened to be heading that way anyway, and was thrilled to earn such a large fare unexpectedly, agreeing with a series of nods.
Bella pressed her lips together, taking off the coat, "Mr. Sinclair, your coat."
"If you don’t want to wear it, just throw it away," Damian said, not even looking at Bella as he turned and got into his car.
Bella clutched the men’s coat in her hands, wanting to say goodbye, but her words just couldn’t come out.
"Miss, you can’t park here, please get in the car," the private car owner urged when he saw her hesitating to get in.
Bella glanced once more in Damian’s direction, then finally hugged the men’s coat and bent down to get into the car, "Sir, thank you."
"No trouble at all! No trouble at all!" thought the car owner, pleased with such an unexpected windfall, imagining how happy his wife would be at home, where was the trouble in that?
The car owner grinned and drove away.
After Bella got in the car, she kept her head down and said nothing more.
The car owner wanted to chat a bit, but seeing her like that, he decided not to speak and just drove in silence.
Bella hugged Damian’s coat, with tears spilling onto it. Soon, the coat was soaked with her tears.
She cried silently, without making a sound, and the car owner finally couldn’t help but speak after seeing her from the rearview mirror, "Miss, it’s just breaking up over a romance, isn’t it! There are plenty of fish in the sea, breaking up is just breaking up! Who knows, maybe you’ll find someone better, someone you like more! Don’t be so sad! Have a bit more open mind!"
