The phone call rang for a moment before the call connected.

"Ah Qing? Did something happen?" My mother’s voice came from the other side of the call.

"No? Why did you even assume something happened?"

"Because you only call me when something happens. So what happened?"

"I’m just calling to ask about something... You know that our Mortal God just recently awakened, right?"

"No, like they can command something to stop moving and it will stop moving, even if the thing was supposed to move... I don’t really know how to explain it..."

I shifted my phone to start searching up who that was.

Err... Let’s see... This person could also be known as the Southern Extremity Longevity Great Emperor... Governs the four seasons, wields lightning, controls the fate and life of all things.

Hey, this sounds pretty much similar to what I have been experiencing! Yeah!!

The god I personify is this god!!

I’m pretty sure that when a Mortal God figures out the god they were supposed to personify, they would get a giant power up the moment they do...

So the fact that nothing happened meant that this wasn’t the one.

I turned back to the call, "Sorry mom... I don’t think that’s the one."

"Mmm... Then what about Dong Hua Di Jun?"

I went ahead to search the name up as well.

Hmm... Dong Jun or Dong Hua Di Jun... Presides over Yin and Yang energy... Watches over the growth of all things and evaluates male immortals...

Yeah... I don’t think this one’s the one, mom... But just in case.

Otherwise known as the Three Pure Ones and supposedly the three highest gods in the Taoist pantheon.

While I know about their existence, I’m not too familiar with their domains so I had to search it up to see what they were exactly.

The problem is that while they each have their own domains, each of them are a different entity by themselves.

There is the Jade Pure One who is the central figure of the three and represents the beginning of creation. Then there is the Upper Pure One whose domain involves Yin and Yang as well as Qi. Then there’s the Grand Pure One who oversees virtue and morals.

The problem is that I do see similarities between awakened abilities but it’s linked to all three instead of a single Pure One.

And I don’t think that I could embody all three of them either.

Yes, I checked if I was any of them and all three at the same time and nothing happened so this was not the answer either.

"Not them either," I told my mother, letting out a sigh.

"If also not them then I don’t know liao. There’s too little information."

"I figured as much... Still, thanks anyway, mom. It at least helped me figure out some things."

"Mmm... When you coming back, send me a message ok?"

"Yes, mom."

"Be careful while you’re there."

"I will, mom."

I hung up the phone before letting out another sigh, taking a moment to look at the tower that was being built in front of me.

I had only been gone for half a day and it looks like the tower was already well on its way to being halfway completed already.

I’d think by tomorrow, they might even be more than half one with the construction.

"What are you thinking about?" Ava asked, the elf girl having been near me the entire time.

Even though this was supposed to be her break time after accompanying me in the rift, she still chose to stay with me to escort me, as she claimed.

I’m pretty sure she was waiting for me to bang her since we ended up not doing it inside the rift as I rushed out here to call my mom after my meditation.

I shrugged, "I still have no idea which god I’m supposed to be and I guess it feels a little frustrating... At this rate, I might even stay ignorant of it for a really long time."

Ava tilted her head, "Hmm? Aren’t you already plenty strong enough already?"

I raised an eyebrow at her, "Strong enough to struggle and fight against these Anomalies, sure. But up against one of the other Mortal Gods? I’d get my ass kicked pretty easily."

"Hmm... I do not think that is the case at all, my Divine? I’m sure you could at least stand your ground against a few of them."

"The ones that are support types I guess... But even in that department, they seem to outperform me. Right now, it feels like I’m a jack of all trades but a master of none."

"Is that not a good thing? It means you are able to adapt to any situation and deal with it, is it not? Just like with this rift, you were able to fight against the Anomalies while also strengthening everyone else to ensure that we could stand our own ground. I dare say if it wasn’t for your aura, we might have had some casualties during this expedition."

Well... If she puts it that way, I can’t argue with that...

I’ve just been operating on the idea that I would be adversarial to the other Mortal Gods from the other countries since there is always the chance that I might come into conflict with them.

"Still... It’s better if I at least know what my god is supposed to be..." I sighed.

If only there were more clues or more clearer signs...

Hmm? Wait a minute...

I turned to raise an eyebrow at Ava, "You said one of your powers was being able to see the future right? That’s why you knew that you would be my Guardian?"

"Mmm... You could say that, my Divine. The more exact term would be ’Limited Clairvoyance’."

"In that case... Could you see into the future where I have awakened fully as a Mortal God? Preferably a future where I know who exactly my god is supposed to be?"

She gave me a wry smile, "Unfortunately, I cannot control my future sight as I might have mentioned before, my Divine. Even now, the visions I have of you in the future are very limited and your divinity basically makes you immune to being predicted. You are basically outside of the web of fate’s influence as someone who is a divine."

I’m not really sure what that means but I at least understood that it wasn’t possible for Ava to help me find out what god I’m supposed to personify.

Oh well... At least I’m not in a rush to find out now so we just need to figure it out slowly I guess...
