What Do You Mean There Are Other Transmigrators In My Harem Fantasy?-Chapter 1009: Do You Want Trains?
So… Justinia was very interested in the train idea and I was pretty much roped into explaining it after our bath time, which basically involved us standing in the changing room with a towel wrapped around us while I told them more about it.
Mother seemed to be interested as well and was listening quite attentively as I explained how it was supposed to work.
"Hmm… Interesting… I can't believe I actually overlooked this. Off-Worlders could be bringing in new ideas that we can implement on a national or even world wide scale if we were to allow some way for them to express it… They might not all be good ideas but we could definitely use them."
"Please don't use any weapons of mass destruction…" I pleaded.
Justinia chuckled, "Fufu~ Did you already forget, Aster? There are individuals who are already capable of doing that without using weapons. You are basically one of them as well."
Eh? What? I don't think I have a spell that is on the level of a nuke though?
Mother giggled, "Ufufufu~ She means your Shadow Guards, my little one~"
My Shadow Guards? I mean… Sure, there's like a lot of them but they're more like an army that I keep in my shadow right? The most it can do is that I can use it to stage an invasion past a city's defence easily but it's not a weapon of mass destruction…
Oh wait… There was the thing where if I buff them too much, they would explode… And I can pretty much bring them back to life even if they 'die' from the explosion.
So I guess… I could theoretically sneak a whole bunch of Shadow Guards to a place, rig them all to explode and then blow an entire place up without even being there myself…
Ok… I'm starting to think that I should be worried about myself right now… And just saying, I haven't stopped creating new Shadow Guards every night for the past few years… That's how I managed to increase my mana stats and Mana Management skill to such a high number since I've been practically training it every single day…
I scratched my cheek, "Right… Umm… I guess you still need to be careful on what ideas to take from Off-Worlders because some ideas involve the destruction of the environment too… I don't want to see creatures going extinct here…"
Justinia smiled at me, "You do not need to worry, Aster. If we are on the path of going too far, the Gods will show us a sign."
Funny… If you heard something like that being spoken in my old World, it would be taken as either sarcasm or someone being delusional… But here, they really do mean it literally.
I'm sure if the gods don't like what is happening, they would just send an oracle down to their priests or something to tell them to stop it.
"So is the train idea a good one?" I asked.
Justinia crossed her arms underneath her chest, "I would need to consult some other people on this… Especially since this would effectively revolutionise the entire landscape and how logistics is handled… Is there an Off-Worlder you can trust on your side that might also know about this?"
I guess she's asking this because she doesn't want to keep me here.
I nodded, "There's an Off-Worlder who is working as a pastry chef in our mansion… I think she might be able to help a little? Though I'm not sure how far her knowledge of trains might be… And err… Crystal? It's been a while since I last saw her but she's also an Off-Worlder…"
I almost forgot about Crystal since she and her family got inducted into the family's Shadow Corps or whatever they are called. Last I heard from them was that they were undergoing quite vigorous training to get them up to the same standards as the other maids so I haven't had much opportunities to see any of them either.
There was also Bob but he got released as a criminal slave two years ago so I think he's doing his own stuff now and I don't know where he is.
Justinia turned to Mother and raised an eyebrow.
Mother giggled, "Ufufufu~ Don't worry, I know who my little one is talking about. I'll get them and send them to you tomorrow~"
Justinia nodded a thanks before turning back to me, "Is there anything else that you might want to share, Aster?"
"Err… Let me think… You guys already have something similar to a printing press… I don't think you would need to know about penicillin… Maybe food? But I'm not that familiar with cooking stuff… Hmm…"
I tried to rack my brain about what other things I could introduce here…
In my isekai stories, I also had some characters who would bring conveniences from their own world over to the new world… But a lot of them were things that were given by the system or things like the crop rotation farming methods which this World already has…
They don't even need water pumps either since they have magic for that and there's also a sewer and garbage disposal system that makes use of slimes so there's nothing to be done there…
There's no need for electricity either since, once again, there's magic.
Hmm… Maybe I can just make use of the train either and implement it somewhere else?
My sight suddenly went to Emilia who was standing at the sight alongside the other girls, all of them gathered a short distance away to listen to our conversation without disturbing us.
Wait… That's it!
"That same engine can also be used on ships! So you no longer need to rely on the wind to move!" I cried out, a little more excited than normal.
Justinia tilted her head at me, "A ship you say?"
"Yes, you can make something like a propeller which you can put underneath the water behind the ship to push the ship forward. So with that, you won't need sails anymore as the propeller would be the one that is moving your ship."
"Oh really? Tell me more!"
"Well you see, the propeller is something that is shaped like…" I paused and looked back at where the voice came from, only to see a really excited Emilia standing there where she wasn't even present just a few seconds ago.
I didn't even realise she had moved…
I'm guessing she wanted to participate in the conversation since it had something to do with ships seeing that she had been the captain of one before.
Justinia and the others didn't seem to mind her joining the conversation either so I just shrugged and gave a brief explanation of what I know about ship engines and propellers.
"Can something really small move something that much bigger than itself?" Emilia asked.
"The propellers aren't lifting the ship and merely applying a directional force on the ship to move it. And since it's in the water, the friction would be negligible which allows it to move without too much force applied on it."
"Friction? Directional force?"
Ah crap… They don't really study physics here so using such terms might be confusing to them…
"Umm… It will just work, don't worry about it," I finally said after failing to come up with a better way to explain it.
Emilia hummed as she pinched her chin with her hand before she suddenly turned to Justinia, "Hmm… Your Majesty? Are you interested in any of my Boss's ideas?"
Justinia smiled at her, "Oh? I may be interested indeed. What do you have in mind?"
Emilia suddenly pulled out a notebook out of thin air, which was really concerning since, once again, we were all just wearing a towel wrapped around our bodies right now.
She then flipped it open before also pulling out a pen to scribble on one of the pages, "Let's see… We can schedule you for a consultation and then we can also arrange some of our company's staff to do some prototyping and maybe a product test for you. If you are willing to invest in the project, we are willing to sign a contract with the Kingdom to keep this technology under the Kingdom's name."
Wait… Is Emilia really taking the opportunity to turn this into a business? What am I talking about… Of course she is…
Justinia's smile turned into a grin, "Should I also be expecting that the previously mentioned Off-Worlders to also be part of your staff?"
Emilia turned to Mother who giggled, "Ufufufu~ Those are servants that my little one picked up so of course they belong to her. And by extension…"
She didn't need to finish her words and my Nekomata simply turned back to the King and said, "Yes."
The King then stretched out her hand, "In that case, I would like to contract your company to work on these Off-Worlder projects."

Emilia quickly shook her hand in response, "Pleasure doing business with you. I shall get our Head of Retails Operations on the case right away."
Did… She really just do that?
