When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 1013: Rhiannon Xavier’s Fate
Rhiannon Xavier was shaken by the collar, and when she saw the police, she was momentarily stunned, her mind blank for a few seconds.
Then, as if resigning to fate, she wasn’t scared at all, instead, it was a kind of relief; the truth was out, and The Xavier Family could no longer accommodate her.
"Mother, let her go, don’t dirty your hands with someone like this! Leave it to the law!" Nathan Xavier consoled his emotionally unstable mother, holding her trembling, tightly gripped fingers.
Mrs. Xavier was still full of anger, her eyes bloodshot as she glared at Rhiannon! Even her voice was gritted——
Her whole body was shaking, "Mabel Walsh, why are you so cruel? So malicious at such a young age?! Are you the reincarnation of a devil?!"
"Mother... Mother, don’t be sad anymore, I’m back, Shane is back." Faye Turner said, choking on her words. Seeing her mother so upset made her heart ache even more.
Faye tightly embraced her mother, pressing her cheek against her mother’s face, softly comforting, "Don’t be sad anymore, I’m here, Shane is here..."
Through today’s events, childhood memories became even more vivid in her mind, and her affection for her parents grew deeper.
It was like this that Mrs. Xavier gradually pulled her thoughts back, gradually loosening her grip.
Rhiannon’s collar was disheveled, quickly falling into the hands of two policemen who held her from both sides.
Simon Xavier said disappointedly, "Take her away, handle her as you deem necessary, she is no longer the foster daughter of The Xavier Family, this canister of medicine is the evidence, it’s been poisoned, it can be taken for evidence."
Rhiannon felt her scalp tingle, leaving her no leeway, wanting her dead.
Nathan Xavier quickly turned around and packed the medicine from the canister.
Seeing this, Rhiannon found it ironic; they even prepared a thermal bowl? Just placed it in the cabinet.
"Heh heh..." she laughed, her hair disheveled, her laughter somewhat desolate, her gaze wild yet pitiable, "You’ve really set a good stage tonight, getting rid of me so you can peacefully host a welcome banquet, right?"
"Don’t get it wrong!" Simon Xavier, angry, glared at her sternly——
"All of this today was because of your moment’s lapse in judgment; you’ve brought this upon yourself! If you had stayed in your place! We wouldn’t have caught you, wouldn’t have heard anything!"
The police didn’t waste any time, taking the thermal bowl from Nathan Xavier’s hand, then picked up Rhiannon’s bag from the ground not far away, there might be evidence inside too.
"Use the back door." Nathan Xavier didn’t want to make a big scene and attract discussions, instructing the butler at the door, "Lead the way."
"Yes, young master."
And so, Rhiannon was taken away. During the process of leaving, she didn’t speak to any member of The Xavier Family and didn’t look back, her face still showing defiance and hatred.
They raised her, treated her as one of their own for twenty years.
Sent her to study abroad, provided her with the best food, drinks, and essentials, gave her the status of Miss Xavier to socialize, mingled in high society...
But she left without a trace of remorse, not even a single apology...
Mrs. Xavier’s heart was completely cold.
She was very angry, very furious, her fists clenched tightly again! But more than that, she hated herself for misjudging people, "Shane, I’m sorry, it’s my fault, if I hadn’t brought her back in the first place, you wouldn’t have disappeared."
Faye held her mother tightly, tears in her eyes, smiling with a shake of her head, "Don’t say that, this reunion is already the best arrangement given by heaven."
Simon Xavier also believed in fate; if Shane hadn’t left twenty years ago, she wouldn’t have become Faye, let alone married Adrian Lancaster.
Marriage is really hard to talk about, money doesn’t necessarily bring happiness.
There are many divorce cases in high society, even if she’s Miss Xavier, marrying anyone other than Adrian Lancaster might just be a facade, without true happiness...
A lifetime is both short and long, meeting someone who cherishes and loves you isn’t easy.
Just as their daughter said, the past is past, this reunion is already the best arrangement heaven has given.
