When the Wind is Sweet: The Fairy Tale of Mr. and Mrs. Lancaster-Chapter 1024: A Gift for Her
"This is a set of jewelry, a product from my own company that’s not yet on the market. It’s the only sample, just designed, carrying significant meaning, and I’m giving it to you." He spoke casually, yet his words were filled with love for his sister.
"Thank you, brother." Faye Turner reached out and took it again, gently opening the box. Inside were earrings, a necklace, and a bracelet, all very exquisite.
"When you have time, come back more often. Father and mother love you very much," Nathan Xavier told her. "And I love you too."
Faye lifted her gaze to look at him, her smile happy and sweet on her face. "Brother, are you reluctant to see me leave?"
"Of course!" The man reached out and affectionately tapped her nose. "Besides, with Adrian Lancaster, I’m very at ease. His character is impeccable."
Why does everyone speak so highly of him? Faye felt a bit puzzled. How could someone so outstanding need to rush into marriage?
Many women must be lining up, wanting to marry him. What went wrong in this situation?
But she quickly came back to her senses. Marriage is like shoes; only you know if they fit.
She turned around and placed the box back on the table. "Brother, don’t worry. I’ll definitely come back often. I checked last night, it’s less than an hour’s drive."
"Mm." Nathan Xavier reached out and rubbed her head again. "My little sister is growing up."
"Brother, when are you getting married?" Faye looked at him brightly. "Do you have a girlfriend?"
Nathan Xavier shook his head, "No."
"Then do you have someone you like?" she blurted out.
Just like that, Nathan Xavier momentarily lost his focus while looking at her... He raised his fist lightly against his lips, "Cough, cough," using the cough to cover his inner awkwardness.
Not long ago, didn’t he... almost fall in love with his own sister?
As Faye remembered this, she couldn’t help but want to laugh but held back for her brother’s sake.
She proactively reached out to hug her brother, gently burying her head in his chest, recalling the scenes of playing together with her brother when they were young...
"Brother, you must be happy too." This was her heartfelt wish.
"Don’t worry, I will." He rubbed her head and let go of her. "Go change clothes, The Lancasters will arrive soon."
"So early?" she was surprised.
Nathan Xavier smiled and teased, "That guy Adrian Lancaster, it’d be a miracle if he didn’t stand outside waiting for the clock to turn. He’s definitely up before dawn today."
"..." She felt a bit awkward hearing this and didn’t know how to respond.
"Hurry up and go," he lifted the camera in his hand. "The parents will come over in a bit, we should take a few family photos."
"Okay." Her brother was always so thoughtful, she turned and left.
Not long after Faye entered the changing room, Simon Xavier brought his wife over.
"Father, Mother." Nathan Xavier greeted them politely.
"Did Shane get up?"
"Yes, he’s changing clothes," their son told them. "Should we take some family photos later?"
"Sure."
Before long, Faye was out after changing clothes, standing tall and graceful, wearing a smile. "Hello, Father, Mother, Brother." She really embodied that deep-rooted, well-bred demeanor.
So upbringing isn’t tied to memory, it’s carved into the bones.
"My precious looks truly stunning today." Mrs. Xavier smiled as she stepped forward, suddenly feeling quite cheerful, adjusting her daughter’s clothes and hair. She couldn’t get enough of looking at this daughter.
"Mother." Faye wore a shy smile, "Brother says he wants to help us take a family photo."
