Chapter 1051: Chapter 1051: You Are My Weakness

Adrian Lancaster picked up a square black and white card and placed it 20 centimeters in front of his daughter’s eyes. "Here, look this way..."

The child focused intently on the card, and her gaze followed its movement.

This is how you cultivate a child’s concentration from a young age.

Regarding memories of her daughter, Faye Turner didn’t have many. Did she really have a daughter so soon after a whirlwind marriage?

She had doubts about her marriage. Hmm, find a chance to ask Mrs. Rhodes.

"Faye, let’s stay here for a night first. If you get used to it, we can move here."

Adrian Lancaster sat down beside his wife. "Those dumplings in the fridge need to be brought over, and the clothes too. Of course, your wardrobe here is already pretty full, with all kinds of styles, but girls can never have too many clothes."

Faye just looked at him tenderly, without saying anything.

"I took you there first because..." He was a bit embarrassed but chose to explain, "because that’s where we first met. I thought... it might help you remember something. Of course, living here is more convenient."

She looked at him quietly, "Are you very afraid that I’ll never remember you again?"

Adrian Lancaster reached out and lovingly patted her head. "I’m not afraid. As long as you’re safe and healthy, that’s better than anything." His gaze as gentle as when she looked at their daughter.

After playing with their daughter for a while, Joy was obviously a bit sleepy. She started to hum softly and rubbed her eyes with her little hands.

Adrian Lancaster put down the card.

"Oh dear, she’s sleepy now. Miss needs to sleep." Mrs. Rhodes hurried over. "Give her to me, I’ll take her for a nap." She carefully reached out and took her.

Joy was really easy to take care of. She nestled into Mrs. Rhodes’s arms, rubbed her eyes, and lay there quietly, not crying or fussing, utterly adorable.

"So easy to care for?" Faye was genuinely surprised, her little angel was so well-behaved, not at all like a typical one-year-old.

Adrian Lancaster looked blissful, "Thank you for giving me an angel, she’s here to repay kindness. Even when eating solids, she’s obedient and eats whatever she’s given, not picky at all."

After speaking, he took Faye’s hand. "Come on, let’s go upstairs and see." His tone suggested there was a surprise waiting for her.

Walking beside him, the warmth from their palms connecting, Faye didn’t resist. For some reason, the images of last night sleeping side by side kept flashing through her mind.

Downstairs there are still a few servants, but upstairs is relatively private space.

In the second-floor living room, Adrian Lancaster led Faye inside.

A wall filled with photographs deeply captivated her attention. Could there be a thousand photos?

Rows of string held neat lines of photos, and upon closer inspection, it was easy to see they were printed according to a timeline.

Mostly they were pictures of Adrian Lancaster and Faye Turner together, some individual ones as well, and in every photo, they were smiling happily.

The strings holding the photos were intertwined with light strips, twinkling, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

Adrian Lancaster led her to the photo wall, then released her hand and turned to pour her some juice. He didn’t speak, wanting her to have a moment to be overwhelmed by herself.

Faye gazed at those smiling faces in the photos, they seemed so happy, different scenes, different clothes, but so intimate...

"You are my weakness," Adrian Lancaster said.

Faye gathered herself. Though her appearance had changed somewhat, she knew she was the leading lady.

But looking at herself in the photos, she felt a sense of familiar emotion.
