White Online-Chapter 1: White Online.
''World's first, highly anticipated VRMMORPG White Online is going to the sale tomorrow!'' A female middle-aged News Anchor said with an excited face.
A middle-aged man next to her smiled and continued, ''White Online. The game, which has been teased for over 10 years, is finally opening its servers. The World will definitely enter the new era of VR games!''
The female News Anchor nodded, ''White Online. The game, which got its name from beautiful snowy landscapes located in the game is finally here. The games Developers from Legacy Company has revealed that the world's first real A.I is added into the game. There have also been rumors about NPC's shown in the trailers, that they are actually New Gen Humans, but that has not been proven, but after A.I got revealed, that rumor got more reliable.''
The middle-aged man nodded, ''Tomorrow, at 12 A.M servers will open, and it will definitely be a busy day for Legacy Company because there have been rumors of over 300 million VR Helmets being sold!''
''White Online. The world of Legacies will be the sign of New Era.''
...
In the city called Snowstar.
It was a beautiful city with attractive-looking architecture and snowy landscape.
Beautiful and mesmerizing.
The city was covered in snow, while tall skyscrapers were reaching towards the sky.
The citizens walking in the streets looked happy and pleased with their lives, but then most of them turned their heads towards the screens.
The News was shown on every screen on the streets; passersby's stopped walking and looked at the News with excited faces.
In front of one of the screens... A white-haired young man was standing while listening to every piece of information coming from the News. He had strikingly beautiful facial features, with delicate-looking eyebrows and smooth-looking skin. You could mistake him for a girl, it didn't help that his skin looked more flawless than any other female around him, which also earned some jealous gazes directed at him.
Even while standing, he got a lot of attention from nearby passersby's, but that young man's concentration was on the screen.
This young man is Isaac Whitelock.
He was 18 years old, he should be in school at this time, but he dropped out for unknown reasons.
Snow started slowly falling down from the sky, which made Isaac wake up from his stupor.
He started walking in the streets, his every step making footprint on the snow, and a crunching sound.
Isaac walked a few hundred meters until he came to a stop; he turned his head and saw huge text [VR Helmets 34% Off!]
It was coming from one of the stores, which was very busy currently— excited teens and adults left the store with a small box in their hands, with a picture of a VR Helmet on the side.
''White Online... Well, I have nothing else to do... Bye my allowance.'' Isaac wryly smiled and entered the store.
The area where VR Helmets were sold was bustling— it was almost the only place with customers.
Isaac didn't try to take the VR Helmet forcefully— he waited until there were fewer people and grabbed one of the VR Helmets with tag [299$ - 34%]
He bought the VR Helmet and exited the store— he got his allowance yesterday, and the first thing he brought was an expensive item that spent almost all of his allowance.
But Isaac didn't seem pained— instead, he was curious about the New World he was about to enter.
He left the area of the store and started walking towards his home.
It took him 30 minutes to arrive in his neighborhood, but he didn't seem to be exhausted even slightly, even though his body didn't look athtletic kind, instead it was very delicate, a body stature which could make everyone's protective instincts ignite.
There were two guards in front of the Gates.
''ID.'' One of the guards said with a neutral face like he didn't know who the young man was, but there was some visible anger in his eyes.
Isaac sighed, 'Don't act like you don't know me, you dickhead.' He grabbed his wallet and showed his ID.
The guard snorted and opened the gate very slowly.
But Isaac waited and waited until finally, the gate opened, and he managed to enter.
It only took 3 minutes.
Isaac entered the neighborhood, ignoring the guards who were laughing after he entered the gates.
The neighborhood was stunning! All of the houses looked like small mansions with large yards and their own fences and gates.
The cars driving in the neighborhood were the most expensive type in the market currently, but it was an ordinary sight in this neighborhood.
Isaac walked for another 10 minutes until he reached a particular mansion, which didn't look any worse compared to others.
The mansion was enormous with over 5 floors and a large backyard and front yard.
There was a tall fence surrounding the mansion with a beautiful metal gate.
Isaac walked towards the gates and looked towards the left where the camera was located.
He waved his hand simply.
Instantly the gates were opened, and Isaac entered the beautiful yard, with pure white snow covering the ground and beautiful statues placed everywhere in the yard.
Bushes were surrounding the yard like it was a garden, but the bushes were currently covered in snow, but it gave another kind of beauty to the yard.
Isaac opened the front door and entered the mansion.
The interior of the mansion was as beautiful as you could imagine.
The floor and the walls were beautiful light brown, made of Oak Tree.
The furniture looked brand new, with paintings all over the walls.
There was a simple stairway to the second-floor dozen meters away from Isaac, and in front of him was a spacious room with a simple table in the middle of it.
On the right side of the first floor was a massive kitchen and on the left side was the living room and dining room.
Isaac took his jacket off and put it on the hanger— he put his shoes gently on the shoe rack and started ascending towards the second floor, but before he managed to do that.
A voice interrupted him.
''Isaac? Where have you been?'' A beautiful black-haired middle-aged woman peeked from the kitchen and asked.
Isaac turned his head and gently smiled, ''Mom, I went for a walk.''
His mother, Isabella was worried, ''You shouldn't have— it is not safe for you.''
Isaac sighed, ''Sorry, mom.''
Isabella approached Isaac and was about to hug him, but then she saw him carrying something, ''What is this?''
Isaac saw her looking at the VR Helmet box— he smiled and said, ''VR Helmet. I heard that a game called White Online will be released, and I got curious.''
''White Online?'' Isabella was shocked seeing Isaac showing interest in something, and especially towards that game... She doesn't know whether it is a good thing or a bad thing.
''Yes, it seemed interesting, and I decided to try it out,'' Isaac said with slight excitement.
Isabella smiled seeing him being excited, but then she crossed her arms, ''How much did it cost?''
''Ah...'' Isaac went silent, he pursed his lips, ''199$.''
Isabella narrowed her eyes, ''Isaac Vayne Whitelock!''
''Alright...'' Isaac scratched his head, ''299$.''
Isabella sighed and wryly smiled, ''I will give you another 100$ but don't spend it on games!''
''Mom, you don't need to,'' Isaac said with embarrassment.
Isabella kissed his cheek and said, ''End of the conversation.'' After those words, she returned to the kitchen.
Isaac sighed and shook his head. He ascended the stairs all the way to the 4th floor and entered his spacious room.
The room had a massive bed that could fit 5 of him.
There was a large wardrobe and a large desk next to the window.
There was also a chandelier hanging from the ceiling, giving the room a cozy feeling.
Next to the wardrobe was his own private bathroom with a bathtub, shower, and sink.
Isaac put his VR Helmet on top of the desk and started unpacking it.
After he was done packing, he put the box on the ground and grabbed the VR Helmet.
It was a blue-colored helmet with a white-colored visor.
Isaac knows that it isn't the most expensive VR Helmet.
The VR Helmet he bought was Bronze Ranked.
There are Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Legendary Ranks.
5 Ranks in total.
The Bronze ranked Helmet has a lot of limitations, but Isaac never planned to play the game professionally.
He thought that after 1-week playing, he would get bored and quit the game. Like it had always happened when he tried out different hobbies.
Isaac put the VR Helmet back to the box and put it gently on the wardrobe, behind the hundreds of clothes he had.
''Tomorrow... I am feeling kinda excited.'' Isaac murmured, his mouth curved into a small smile, and he went back to the desk.
He opened the cabinet, and there were over a hundred notebooks!
Isaac took the one in the top and opened it.
He started writing everything he did today; he has been doing this for the past 3 years, but he doesn't seem tired of doing it.
Isaac wrote for half an hour until the last thing he wrote was putting the VR Helmet on the wardrobe.
After that, he closed the notebook and put it back on the cabinet, and locked it tightly with his silver-colored key.
