White Online-Chapter 621: The Round's Over.
'Hmm, what was that?' Underlord stopped walking in the dream world, and looked around him in confusion. His vision trembled, body quivered, almost as if someone was trying to shake him awake. Then he realized that something happened to the Doppelgänger.
'He died? Impossible!' He didn't know that the second round had changed. Hence, he thought he was officially out of the tournament. But then, Erebus' aged voice explained everything. Afterward, he sighed in relief, and focused his gaze on the dream world.
He wasn't far from breaking his chains.
...
Swoosh! Swoosh! The arrows flew as Isaac effortlessly weaved through them. Then, Cecilia arrived next to him, swung her sword horizontally as if she was trying to use the sword as a baseball bat.
Isaac leaned backward with an incredible feat of athleticism, enough to duck underneath the sword. Then, he straightened his back, and swept legs from underneath Cecilia, causing her to fall onto her back.
He spun the bo-staff around him, deflected the flying arrows that Darth continued firing, and drove it straight at Cecilia's face. As the wooden tip neared her face, a steel mace appeared from the side, and flung the bo-staff to the side.
Isaac's hand slightly trembled as PrincessHeart came with her mace. Even though she was short, quite petite, she had plenty of power in her reserve. As he staggered to the side, Noelle ran, with a trail of golden lightning following her, and threw a punch.
Isaac felt the fist's presence, and flung his body to the side. As he crashed on the ground, and Noelle missed him, PrincessHeart's small shadow loomed over him as she smashed the mace down. He immediately side-rolled to the left, and jumped to his feet.
Swoosh! Swoosh! Darth's arrows followed, each induced with poison. Isaac somersaulted across the air, and landed on top of the throne's high-end backrest. Everyone had to admire his feat of athleticism and the smoothness of his movements.
Darth moved his hand over his shoulder, towards his quiver, and tried to grab another arrow. But, it was empty. He had used all his arrows!
''Shit...'' He couldn't help but curse, and pulled out a crescent-bladed sword. With a trembling body, he joined his teammates in circling the throne. They all warily gazed at Isaac.
''Do you mind helping?!'' Noelle turned around, and looked at Sorcerer. His cold eyes, gazing beneath the slits of his skull mask, showed no emotion. He didn't plan to help, and watched as others were balancing between life, and death.
''No.'' Sorcerer replied rudely.
...
The atmosphere turned strange after the sudden disappearance of King Michael. Kalzer effortlessly danced across the floor, and while slashing with the spear, heads fell from shoulders, painting the walls in blue blood.
Tyrion pulled out his large-bladed saber, and moved over to Kalzer, even though fear had stopped him from doing anything till now. As he approached the dangerous spear-wielding man, he gathered his courage, jumped across the air, and drove his saber at Kalzer's nape.
Spurt... but then, Kalzer's spear, mysteriously, moved backward, and stabbed through Tyrion's chest. He watched with his mouth agape as the health disappeared from his avatar. Then, with a few rough exhales, and painful inhales, the light disappeared from his eyes, and the avatar disappeared.
''I guess it's just me, and you...'' Kalzer turned to a pale-faced Xerxus. The walls were dyed blue, the ground still had wet blood spots, still not dried, and the pixels still floated in the air like leaves, blown away by wind.
Xerxus' hand trembled, and as he formed a fist, Kalzer made his move, and stabbed the spear forward repeatedly, again making afterimages.
Xerxus' body flashed, and he entered his superspeed mode. Even in that state, he noticed how fast the spears were, and could barely dodge them. As he weaved through the spears, and approached Kalzer, he suddenly kicked the ground as hard as possible, and tried to ram through the spear-wielding man.
However, as soon as he moved as quickly as he could, he found out that his road ended quite suddenly. There was a spear, poking through his chest.
''Eh...'' Xerxus blinked blankly, and disappeared into pixels. He died, and the winner of the second room was Kalzer!
Kalzer rested his spear against his shoulder, and rubbed his neck.
...
Isaac fended off the swords, and slammed his foot into Darth's torso, then he ducked under Cecilia's blade, and backhanded her across the face. However, he couldn't relax as PrincessHeart, and Noelle appeared behind him.
As soon as he was about to move, a single voice silenced everyone,
''The second round is officially over!
''The third room defeated Underlord, and the second room's boss, Kalzer, defeated the players. Thus, the second team is officially out of the tournament!''
''Eh, already.'' Isaac halted his attack, but PrincessHeart didn't, and smashed her mace across his face.
Isaac's face flung to the side, and his vision grew blurry. Noelle, and the rest shouted at the petite woman, asking what she was doing. She innocently shrugged her shoulders, saying that she didn't hear the announcement.
Isaac's grip on the bo-staff tightened, then he whipped his head around, and drove it straight through PrincessHeart's chest, and heart.
The atmosphere grew tense as the petite woman coughed out blood, and said, ''That's... cheating!''
She turned to pixels, and soon found herself in the waiting room.
''Ah...'' Isaac touched the side of his face that was bleeding. It didn't hurt much, but it felt uncomfortable.
''The round is over!'' Heimdall's serious voice echoed in the arena, and then everyone was sent out of the arena, and back to their living quarters.
Isaac plopped down on his soft bed, and shrugged his shoulders. He sat up on the bed, not caring about PrincessHeart any more than he needed to. She thought she could bully him, but she was very mistaken.
The screen displayed the names of those who were now officially out of the tournament. The most notable ones were Xerxus, Tyrion, King Michael, King Jonathan, and Colossus.
Everyone was shocked that Xerxus, one of the winning candidates, was officially out of the tournament.
