The army had gathered in the streets of White Paradise. They were introduced to their new commander, who would lead the next battle. It was surprisingly God Ares, the God of War, who took the lead.

The soldiers immediately felt energetic. Even though many of them witnessed the deaths of their friends and comrades, they still thought they could win with God on their side. And, it wasn't only a god, it was the God of War, who specialized in the art of war.

The God Ares stood loftily at the front of the army. He didn't speak a word, but his aura alone increased the momentum of the aura. That was the effect God of War had.

In the middle of the army, Amour stood silently while wearing the helmet that covered his face. His muscles were bulging in anticipation as the start of the battle was nearing. He was the successor of the God of War, making him also stronger during times of war.

During the wait, Amour heard fellow soldiers whispering.

''Why are we forced to fight?'' A young man in his early twenties asked his friend. ''Why does this feel like a punishment?''

''I know right..." his friend replied with an unwilling expression. ''The gods should deal with this threat by themselves. We are just cannon fodder. You saw what that flower demon did. He completely annihilated everyone. Everyone, except Archangels, were useless!''

''Sigh, I want to return home.'' The young man sighed while looking at the night sky. ''I was supposed to have a date with my girlfriend.''

''Why aren't the Gods attacking simultaneously?'' his friend asked thoughtfully. ''They could just attack those spaceships, kill the demons, and call off the day. Why are they playing the long game? We are dying worthless deaths.''

''Well, at least God Ares is leading us. I pity the first army, who only had Archangel and ended up dying. We should survive, but just to be sure, let's stay closer to the gates.''

''Sounds good.''

Amour didn't change his expression while listening to the conversation. The same scene happened in the rows ahead of him and behind him. Everyone was treating this war as a bother and an inconvenience. No one realized that they were fighting for everyone's survival.

As the clock struck loudly, the gates opened and, with God Ares as their leader, they all marched out of the gates and surrounded the hundred meter radius from the gate. There were still body parts and blood strewn across the soily ground. The snow had melted away and they were standing on top of frozen soil.

They turned their gaze to the faraway spaceship. A small spaceship landed on the outskirts of the forest. Then, the doors swung open, revealing thousands of mad-looking demons. They ran out and started rushing towards humanity's army.

At the back of the demon's army, a cold-looking man stepped out of the spaceship. His eyes were slits; his skin was red; his body was built strangely. There were bones protruding through his flesh, and he looked like a monster.

He was a Demon General, Second Rank, Raizo the Bone Monster.

With his muscular body, he stomped on the ground and followed the demon's army, who were running ahead of him.

The demon's army roared and screamed.

''Shieldwall!'' God Ares shouted and Angels appeared in front of him. They placed their long golden shields in front of them.

''Spearmen and Bowmen!'' The New-Gen Humans grabbed their spears tightly and positioned behind the angels. The Inhumans raised their bows and aimed towards the sky.

''Fire!''

The arrows tore through the air and pierced through the approaching demons. As they died one after another, the arrows suddenly stopped descending, and the demons who survived arrived in front of the shieldwall. They rammed into the shields and managed to break the angel's formation.

''Spears!'' God Ares immediately commanded. The New-Gen Humans lunged forward and drilled their spears through the demons. The demons' advancement was again stopped.

It didn't take long for fresh blood to stain the ground with corpses. The demons screamed and rammed into spears and shields one after another. The angels had to grit their teeth and use all their strength to stop themselves from being pushed back.

''I will eat your eyes and tongue!'' A demon screamed while clawing against the golden sword. His words frightened the New-Gen Humans, and they stopped using their spears for a moment. That gave enough time for demons to leap over the shields. Without spears to stop them, they managed to overcome the shieldwall.

''Hihihi!'' A demon grabbed a young man by his throat and sank his teeth into his face. He took a mouth-sized bite, leaving the man without a nose.

''Aaaaaaaah!'' The young man screamed in fear and collapsed on the ground. He was instantly stomped by a dozen demons and died without being able to do anything.

The angels were suddenly attacked by both the front and the back. They were trapped in-between and couldn't do anything and were suddenly rendered useless. The claws, maces, and swords slashed down at them, separating their limbs and inflicting lengthy wounds on their bodies.

The angels' despiring screams reverberated across the sky. They were soon overwhelmed and the shieldmen were eventually killed.

The spearmen immediately started retreating. They started pushing each other, making the scene a proper mess.

''Look ahead! Don't turn your backs on the enemy!'' God Ares shouted with anger and swung his two-handed axe. With one slash, he killed four demons.

However, then a silhouette jumped over the sea of an army and smashed his fist against Ares' axe.

Ares gritted his teeth and looked at the bone monster, who attacked him. He quickly parried the fist away and hacked his axe down. However, it was swiftly dodged by Raizo, who quickly used his bones and stabbed deep into the god's shoulder.

''Argh!'' Ares reeled in his head and headbutted Raizo. The demon staggered backward, and then Ares smashed his axe across his torso.

''?!'' Raizo's eyes widened in surprise as blood gushed out of his torso. He suffered a large wound, which reached from his shoulder all the way to his waist.

''N-Not bad!'' He shouted while coughing up blood.
