Who Designed This Underworld Dungeon?-Chapter 492 - 340 Invincible by the Bonfire
Chapter 492: Chapter 340 Invincible by the Bonfire
My name is Luluwo, [data deleted] years old.
I live in the villa area north of Bed City, single, and currently the captain of the Skyrim Strategy Group. Every day, I diligently enter and leave the Dungeon to make strategies for everyone to suffer less and earn a little extra money along the way. I sometimes leave the Dungeon at midnight and often spend the night at Lake Lienia, never sleeping a full eight hours, leaving fatigue and stress for the next day. Even health checkups say I’m somewhat abnormal.
No bad habits, don’t smoke, sometimes wear a headscarf for a few invasions to relieve stress, and definitely don’t make things difficult for others. Those who know me say I’m a once-in-a-century good person.
I just wish to live a peaceful life. I may care about winning or losing, but I absolutely won’t do anything that would make enemies for myself now. This is the key to my happy life.
But lately, ***’s mother may have been targeted by ****’s bad guys!
"Being invaded by the Dark Moon Sword can be considered my own retribution. I might as well avoid going to Yilushier for a while, but..."
People saw Luluwo with tears in her eyes for the first time. She fiercely smashed the tree beside her and shouted:
"Why do people still want my life now! I don’t remember when I got involved with dangerous people!"
"Captain, we couldn’t identify them."
Berto dissected an Orc’s stomach, trying to find any identifying factors on the swallowed crossbow, but this group of Orcs had such good digestion that the crossbow was reduced to fragments.
"Tsk." Luluwo gritted her teeth and had no choice but to ask the nearby Fran Guard to see if they had noticed anything unusual recently.
Compared to "being targeted by mysterious enemies," she preferred to believe she and her team were only encountering "random attacks."
However, on the Fran Guard’s side, everyone except Dal sighed with a subtle expression as if a grand event got interrupted at its climax.
In short, the fun wasn’t had thoroughly.
Luluwo watched as the Fran Guards gradually transformed into battle-hungry fanatics and couldn’t help swallowing. She’d heard of the Fran Guard’s feats recently; these people rush to the sound of the Demon Clan wherever it is, with their giant wolf’s mobility comparable to a Griffin, always either hunting the Demon Clan or on the way to hunt them.
Currently, around Bed City—not just Bed City, but the whole province—there’s hardly any news of the Demon Clan. Even if there is any, ninety-nine percent are rumors, and that one percent is unfortunate souls encountering the Death God by chance.
Under the siege of the Fran Guards, who have become Demon Clan killing machines, the Demon Clan has also become cautious. Because once caught and interrogated, the Demon Clan will reveal why they are causing trouble in the human Kingdom—they were undergoing massive changes, with former generals and legion captains evolving. Those seeking a quick promotion had to make a scene in the human territory—the bigger the chaos, the faster the promotion.
Though the Demon Clan invading human lands can’t just be for this reason alone, humanity finally understood why the Demon Clan clung to them like glue.
The Fran Guard now doesn’t need publicity from the Bed family; their agile silhouettes are their best advertisement, attracting new members in every region they appear. Their membership has expanded beyond Val City incident victims to Demon Clan attack victims.
After careful selection, their combat-ready members have reached three figures; if they relaxed their high standards, their numbers could easily reach four figures without consequences.
The Fran Guard initially planned to continue training in Sain Dungeon today, but it was a festival day, so they decided to take a break and inadvertently saved Luluwo and her team.
"No, we haven’t received any information about the Demon Clan in a long time, especially around Bed City."
Dal was wiping his blade, looking more mature than before, more talkative, and with hair that had turned white like the Undead Team—could there be a side effect of Wolf Blood?
Turns out, he dyed it himself.
"So what’s going on? Passing Orc bandits? Experiments by evil alchemists? New creations by a Necromancer?"
Dal shook his head, feeling none of these seemed right. Plus, while slashing the Black Shadow Man, he felt a strangely satisfying yet dissatisfying sensation. It felt like decimating the Demon Clan, but something was off, leaving him conflicted.
Aside from the Demon Clan, fighting anything else barely excited him anymore. He even dreamed of another fight with Doslepo, or settling with Frog Head.
"My suggestion is to inform Count Charon; he might have more information than we do. If he knows nothing, he can report it up the chain."
"That’s indeed prudent..." Luluwo agreed with Dal’s suggestion but felt discontented, "But doing so makes me seem cowardly, like I’m getting bullied without a peep. They clearly came for me, attacked on their own, and died on their own... I can’t swallow this!"
Dal raised an eyebrow, "What do you want to do, retaliate? That might provoke an even greater counterattack."
Luluwo once helped the Fran Guards, so Dal sincerely wanted to give her advice now.
If an enemy counterattacked, his street dancing and Wolf Jump could also be beneficial.
"Counterattack? Before becoming an adventurer, I fought my way out of the nation’s most dangerous gang city, with many people wanting me dead, yet I’m the one who’s still alive." Luluwo brushed her hair, saying, "If the enemy is truly strong enough to stifle any resistance, I might as well hide in the Sain Dungeon, living in Lake Lienia for life!"
She subconsciously treated the Sain Dungeon as her ultimate fallback.
"Berto, choose a few nicer-looking corpses, let’s capture some footage!"
A rare once-in-a-century Meteor Shower finally streaked across the sky, brilliantly colorful and magnificent. The people who came out to watch weren’t disappointed. It’s said that this Meteor Shower will last for seven days, vanishing during the day and reappearing each night in such splendor.
Isn’t the astronomical phenomenon of this magic world fascinating?
The other members of the Skyrim Strategy Group, along with the Fran Guard, rebuilt the camp, and a lively celebration of the battle victory began.
Meanwhile, Luluwo and Berto were using the corpses of Beastmen to film a beheading scene in a small video... and they were indeed beheading.
On the morning of the second day, the residents of Bed City who had seen the bustling world of the Royal City started returning in succession. Some were surprised to discover a new video from the Skyrim Strategy Group, priced unbelievably cheaply, just for the price of a piece of bread, yet it was labeled with a warning for those afraid of bloodshed to watch cautiously.
No worries, at such a cheap price, even if it’s a mess, it’s okay.
Then the buyers found out that Luluwo indeed created a mess, a mess with the corpses.
Some with weaker mental endurance vomited after watching the video. In it, Luluwo committed acts of desecration on the Beastmen corpses, which, had it been several hundred years ago during the Church’s prominence, would have gotten her arrested and executed by the Church based solely on this video.
Of course, Luluwo wouldn’t release a cheap, gory video without reason to torture everyone’s minds. She stated her purpose at the beginning of the video.
This was a demonstration, or one could say, a provocation, a mockery of the Black Hand behind the attacks on the Skyrim Strategy Group, declaring that she wasn’t afraid of them and they could play any tricks they had!
"Hey, don’t you think the Skyrim Strategy Group’s move seems a bit like kids arguing..."
"Feels a bit, uh, lacking in grandeur? But if I were their enemy, I’d probably be very angry seeing this video."
"Indeed, Luluwo’s smug expression is really asking for a punch."
The onlookers commented as such.
But regardless of what people said, after the video was released, Luluwo led the entire group to Lake Lienia, securing a big house right by the bonfire in Academy Gate Town.
Ah, the warm bonfire, only here did she feel safe. Even if she died, she could be resurrected at the bonfire. Praise the Sain Dungeon.
If Sain were to establish a Church with himself as the God, Luluwo swore she would be among the first batch of fanatics of Sain.
Ordinary people wouldn’t be capable of her same corpse-abusing provocations, as it feels a bit low, and the consequences are unknown.
But Luluwo is not ordinary, her motto has always been to be kind when possible, and if not, to gross out the opposition as much as possible. In the absence of being able to identify the enemy, abusing corpses for provocation was the best she could do.
As for what the enemy thinks? If the enemy is someone who doesn’t regard their subordinates as people, they might laugh it off. If they value their subordinates, then great; Luluwo’s purpose of being a nuisance would be achieved.
"In any case, we’ll be living in Lake Lienia from now on." Looking at the beautiful Lake District, Luluwo put her hands on her hips, feeling invincible.
As it turned out, Luluwo’s tactic did nauseate those trying to harm her.
Because Eliphas, while not the kind to value his partners, cared a lot about his reputation, even though no one else knew the video was targeting him.
"Luluwo..."
Eliphas clenched his fist, desiring to storm into the Sain Dungeon to eliminate her after watching the video.
But there was no way, as she’d merely respawn after dying, resurrecting countless times before possibly bringing her outside the Dungeon’s Resurrection House. The variables in such a process were too great, and the things that could happen should he expose himself were unacceptable.
"Damn bonfire, damn Sain Dungeon..."
No way around it, the bonfire’s resurrection rules are rules, not something decided today.
By utilizing the rules wisely, one can disgust opponents even outside of battle.
Throughout the day, the mercenaries of the Light Eagle Group heard sounds of things being smashed coming from Eliphas’ room.
Elsa, of course, didn’t hear them, because she quickly went to console the Skyrim Strategy Group upon learning they were attacked, faster than anyone else.
Upon learning his cabbage went missing again, the sound of things being smashed in Eliphas’ room ceased, replaced by small explosions from unstable Magic Power.
Clearly, using the Skyrim Strategy Group’s death to evoke negative emotions in Elsa failed, and a second opportunity couldn’t be found in the short term, yet he was unwilling to artificially mature Elsa, which would be a waste.
So, is there anyone else whose death could evoke negative emotions in Elsa?
Not long after, Eliphas called Sali and instructed:
"After so much preparation, we’ll enter Yilushier tomorrow."
