Why Did You Summon Me?-Chapter 50
Chapter 50: This is Truly Remarkable!
Crouching on the floor, Mia drew the Soul Relocation Formation under Baiyi’s guidance. As there were many parts that had been simplified into runes, the formation was much simpler than the Summoning Formation. No additional magical ingredient was needed to aid the formation as well. Even for someone at Mia’s level, it was considered quite easy.
That was exactly why the invention of the Soul Armature Technique was a great one. Even an Intermediate Level sorcerer like Mia could own one without really having to invest much in it. It was indeed a giant leap for mankind in the history of that world.
As for the Ninth-Walker, the Soul Armature Practitioner who invented the Soul Armature Technique, he did not stop coming up with more ideas ever since Baiyi was summoned to the world. Instead, he had long predicted that there would come a day when Baiyi would need tochange his body and in order to ensure that the process runs smoothly, he invented an additional brand new skill called Soul Imprinting Spell. Well, as one knows, Baiyi’s first summoning relied more on luck rather than Mia’s skills and in order to prevent Baiyi from being sent back to the Void accidentally and not being able to be summoned again, the Ninth-Walker decided to invent that technique.
The spell would allow a remnant of Baiyi’s sense of self to remain in the current militia’s armor so even if the soul transfer process failed, there would still be a part of Baiyi’s consciousness left in the realm. Therefore, as Baiyi was showing Mia how to draw the Soul Relocating Formation, he was also drawing a formation inside the militia’s armor. Unsurprisingly, his action was certainly much better and more efficient than Mia. After he was done with the drawing, Mia was only halfway done with her drawing.
“C’mon Mia, just a little bit more.” Baiyi encouraged.
“I know Mr. Hope. Huh… I’m feeling a little dizzy…” Mia said as she knelt down on the floor rubbing her eyes. Wiping the sweat on her forehead away, she proceeded to lie down on the floor and continued with her drawing.
As they were both inside the dorm, Mia had already taken off the pair of white stockings off her legs. With both her naked legs kneeling on the floor, her butt was pushed high up in the air. Obviously, that little girl was not guarded at all in front of Baiyi. As he was situated behind her, from his point of view, not only could he see Mia’s slender legs and delicate feet, he also had a clear view of the display underneath her skirt…
Why didn’t she change into her pajamas first? She’s only so young and she’s already showing her feminine wiles. Sigh… Wouldn’t it be worse when she gets older?
Baiyi thought to himself as he cast a Silence Spell on a few members of the Hentai Union who naturally started to comment about all sorts of ecchi things again and proceeded to move to Mia’s side. Hmm… From this side, all I can see is her cute delicate little face. Perhaps it was because Mr. Hope could finally change into a handsome body that Mia looked particularly excited and elated. Her heart overflowed with anticipation and her mouth was slightly opened as she hummed some sort of old folk song. What a lovely sight this is
Soon after, the rune formation was finally done. Immediately, Mia infused her Mana into the runes which gradually lit up one by one.
Somehow, the progress was really smooth. However, she tilted her head in puzzlement as if there was something that was bothering her. Usually, with the amount of Mana that she possessed, having to fill up all of those runes in one breath would be an impossible task. She would certainly need to stop to take a rest for her Mana to recover. However, it seemed like she had no feeling of exhaustion at all?
Is it because of Mr. Hope’s teaching recently that had strengthened my power? Mia wondered as she turned her head over to look at Baiyi. With gratitude in her eyes, she flashed a gentle smile towards him.
Erm… What’s wrong with this girl today? Baiyi found her behaviour to be very odd instead. Don’t tell me she hadjust only realized that the Mana in her body has increased in folds. As a matter of fact, not only did her Mana increased, as the channel for Baiyi’s source of energy, the endless energy from the Void was waiting to be channeled into her body as well. How could she possibly exhaust them all?
“This could be considered as a special advantage as well. Maybe we could do some research on this,” The Scholar said.
To those Voidwalkers, the amount of Mana that one possessed did not make too much of a difference. Being able to knock out an opponent in just one blow using their deathblow was a more crucial factor. They prefered a more efficient method of combating, either win, flee or die. Well, seeing as they are all supernatural beings, they did not have that much free time to slowly drag things out.
However, for the battle between two lower-tier people, it was common for the battle to fall into a stalemate. With the advantage that Mia possessed, it would help her in breaking out of the stalemate. With the help of the Scholar who came up with such a proper topic, the discussions in the Void that started off with ecchi nonsense— Which one would taste better? Legs or face licking?- — had changed its direction to a proper one— What type of magic would be suitable for Mia’s attributes?
“What do you all think about my self-sustained Flamethrower? Even though right now I have changed its name to La Grondement Du Haine! 1 ” The Archmage started.
Er… Where did you copy this name from this time? Moreover, haven’t this move been written in many textbooks already? Even the patent was robbed away by the Sorcerer’s Association!
“Eh? But I was the one who invented this spell!” The Archmage immediately defended himself, “Erm, how about this one then? Lord Chaldeas: Virtual Noble Plantasm Pseudo-Deployment/Foundation of Anthropic Principle 2 . This is a very powerful Defense Spell! Mia can use this to deplete her opponent’s energy!”
Isn’t it just the Shield Barrier? Yes, I do agree that using Mana to sustain a Protective Enchantment is indeed a powerful technique but is it really okay to just simply change the name like that? Oh, wait a minute! Come to think of it, this spell was invented by you as well… Although in the end it was the Sorcerer’s Association who made it their own
While the Voidwalkers were still discussing in the Void, Baiyi had already finished preparing for the new armor’s sight and joint enchantment. At the same time, Mia had also completed infusing her Mana into all of the runes. Now that all of the preparations were completed, Baiyi took a deep breath before asking Mia to activate the relocation formation.
Instantly, he could feel his sense of self becoming light all of a sudden as he left his armor. It was as if his soul had freed itself from his body before slowly floating towards and into the light gray Mithril armor.
“How is it? Mr. Hope?” Mia quickly asked after she had activated the formation.
Immediately afterwards, a familiar low voice came out from the new armor, “It feels good! ” As the voice was speaking, the armor could be seen gradually moving about. The movement was smooth and active, without any stiffness at all. It seemed like the transfer process had been a successful one!
“This is a great body!” Baiyi took two steps walking in the room and reached out to touch Mia’s head as he said, “Thank you, Mia.”
“Yes! This is truly remarkablel!” Grabbing onto Baiyi’s hand, Mia shut her eyes gently as she put her face onto the flat and smooth surface of the back of his hand. Just like how she would usually do to her hammerhead plushie, she rubbed her face onto the smooth surface up and down.
Ah, what a soft face she has… That faint warmth from Mia’s body heat gradually entered Baiyi’s heart all the way from his hand. Nodding his head, he smiled as he said, “That’s right, this is indeed remarkable!”
That night, Mia had an exceptionally sweet sleep. Even after she had already entered the land of dreams, a happy smile could still be seen on her delicate face.
Another person who also slept well that night was Undine. When the coachman reported to her that the gift had been successfully delivered into the hands of Master Hope, she let out a long sigh of relief. Even though the gift was delivered little late but that massive ‘friendship’ that was worth 33,000 gold coins had finally reached the other side.
For an average person or an ordinary aristocratic family, that price would absolutely be considered as expensive. However, Undine thought otherwise. Her uncle, the black Soul Armature Leo shared the same view as her too. He even believed that he was the one who had gotten himself a bargain.
“This Master Hope is incredible!” The black Soul Armature could not stop moving his newly attached arm. “It feels like it had never been broken at all. How did he manage to do that? My arm had already been cut off for so many days so the remnants of the consciousness should have also dissipated by quite a bit. And to think that he could actually reattached the arm back for me in such circumstances. This is unbelievable!”
Seated beside him was the young sorcerer who had boldly tried to probe Baiyi before. Under the countless amount of medicines that the Dole family had spent on him, that young man, whose face was still very pale, was finally able to walk without any help. Holding an empty cup in his hand, he sat there quietly, as if he was contemplating some important issues.
Noticing his weird behaviour, Undine who was seated right in front of him could not help but asked, “Xillians, what are you thinking?”
“Ah! I’m so sorry, Miss Undine. I am trying to guess the innate capability of this Master Hope whom you two speak so highly of. Based on your descriptions, it seems like his Psychic Energy is strong enough to be able to guide both spells at the same time right?” The young sorcerer named Xillians queried.
“I don’t really understand Magic actually. Is it that difficult? Can’t your teacher do that too?” Undine asked instead.
With great longing, Xillians nodded as he turned his head away to pour himself another cup of tea before he continued saying, “Miss Undine, it’s not about the strength of his Psychic Energy but instead, it’s his innate aptitude. To be able to do that, one would need a very high innate aptitude and a very special one as well to be able to multitask like that. My teacher is a true Immortal Level sorcerer who can do this but it doesn’t necessarily mean that other Immortal Level sorcerers are able to do this.”
“All I can say is that, there’s absolutely no doubt that Master Hope is an incredible person. Even though you two could only sense an Intermediate Level strength on him, please don’t be fooled by this. He’s most likely equipped with a much higher innate capability than that.” Xillians added.
“No one in the entire Arfin city had dared to think that Master Hope is weak. He’s the most popular master of repair in the whole city right now. Even all the other nouveau riches are trying to build a relationship with him at the moment. I even feel that Undine’s gift is a little too stingy! We should have given him more cash and put the nouveau riches in their place!” The black Soul Armature said in a serious tone.
However, the young sorcerer had a different point of view. Frowning slightly, he said, “But I still think that Master Andrew is much more powerful…”
“ENOUGH! I really wonder whether you’re under his Love Spell sometimes,” Displeased, Undine interjected, “You’re madly mesmerized by him!”
When she was saying those words, she did not realize that her heart was captivated by a certainstinky bastard as well…
