Chapter 583: Going Giant

With each tremor-like heartbeat, Attie doubled in size, and in almost no time, she was way taller than an average human.

The angels around her sensed something ominous and quickly took to the sky, distancing themselves as much as they could from Attie.

Soon, Attie had grown into a giant. With a ten-meter high torso, the Kitty Cat Maid now bore no resemblance to her former cute self. Her eyes were now cold, and her expression was one of indifference. As Giantess Attie hovered in midair, her enormous shadow darkened the floating island. Her dark tan — which certain Voidwalkers considered her sexiest feature — was now gone, leaving her as pale-white as a marble statue.

Attie appeared to have absorbed the War God’s Sword, as a glowing diamond-shaped shard could be seen on her forehead. The shard exuded red, yellow, and blue light, causing terrifying waves of power to surge around Attie.

The Archangels narrowed their eyes and quickly distanced themselves. It was clear that they were threatened by what they had just seen.

Giantess Attie suddenly opened her eyes and moved an arm. That little bit of movement created a gale strong enough to send several angels flying. Every bit of movement she made contained unfathomable power. Her alabaster-like lips parted, and a voice like thunder shook the sky: “Have I put on weight?”

Everyone was stunned. They had not expected those to be her first words — words that certainly did not befit a godly titan.

Giantess Attie looked down and saw the destruction that the floating island had suffered. Multiple buildings had collapsed, and the streets were little with deep craters.

“Darn it!” The giantess shook her head and sighed in disappointment. Only those that knew of her lifelong “struggle” could understand why she was disappointed.

However, Giantess Attie did not let her feelings distract her. She raised her head and solemnly said:

“I am the Vassal of Bella, the God of Space! Verily, I declare unto you — wait, is it supposed to be ‘unto ye’? Whatever! I declare — Um… I declare! Wait, what was I supposed to declare again? Oh no! I forgot what to say! What should I do now?!”

The floating island was completely silent. Both the angels and Voidwalkers stared at her with wide eyes. Despite her shocking transformation, Attie had instantly relapsed to her JCGT — Just Cute Girl Things (TM) — mode.

Giantess Attie gave up. Even if the speech was of great importance, she had now forgotten it. “Well, whatever! I am now your enemy, so don’t you dare get close to me or this city. If you do, I will punish you!” Giantess Attie said, frowning at the angels. She seemed to be blaming them for the bad day she was having.

That threat was not enough to frighten the Archangels, though. “You are just style with no substance! You also dare to mention Lord Bella’s name in vain, suggesting that she has turned against us! Hear me, warriors: strike that thing down, now!”

When the angels heard the command, they attacked. Giantess Attie, however, was so huge, the angels seemed like a swarm of flies next to her. The angels hit like flies, too; despite their best efforts, none of them could inflict a wound on Giantess Attie. In fact, whenever the angels’ attack landed on Giantess Attie, it felt as though they had hit the air.

“H-hey! I told you not to come any closer!” Giantess Attie shrieked, waving her arms wildly. Two unlucky angels were caught in her grip, and when Giantess Attie gave a little squeeze, the angels were turned to paste, after which they burst into flames — dead.

“Yeeooww! Hot! Hot!! Hot!!!” Giantess Attie grimaced, shaking her burned hand.

The angels continued to attack Giantess Attie with sword beams, though, but the attacks did not even break her skin. Not a single wound was to be found on her.

“Spatial… Spatial Laws are giving her immunity!” Paimon’s eyes widened in surprise. “Does this mean that the giant really is Bella’s vassal? If that’s the case, then… why? Why join the holy war in this manner and at this time?”

“Cease your attacks! Bella’s blessing deflects them; it is not called the ‘Ultimate Defense’ for nothing. I do not want you to waste any more of your energy!” Baal firmly ordered the angels. “Once the holy light returns, the glow from the Divine Realm will render Bella’s blessing useless; that is when we attack.”

The plan was a sound one, but Giantess Attie had no intention of letting the angels rest. The instant the surrounding angels ceased their attacks, Giantess Attie set her sight on the two Archangels in the distance. The tri-colored diamond shard on her forehead glowed brightly, and a dazzling tri-colored beam was shot out.

The tri-colored beam was slow, though; moving in the sky like a ribbon, it leisurely flew towards its targets. The angels in the way almost laughed as they leisurely stepped out of harm’s way with a flap of their wings.

Suddenly, the group of laughing angels, despite having dodged the beam, split into two and burst into flames.

Paimon’s expression became solemn. “Beware!” ‘Tis not us that it is after; it is the very fabric of space in which we exist!”

Paimon quickly activated the last bit of Bella’s Arbiter Right, and the remaining angels began to flicker in place.

Although the angels remained in place, the deadly tri-colored beam began to fly haphazardly as though it had lost its target. After drifting aimlessly for a while, the beam dissipated.

“How gruesome… and terrifying,” Paimon murmured with a shaky voice. The Archangel was relieved that he had survived.

The tri-colored beam was an incredibly powerful attack made by bending the Laws of the universe. When released, the beam would aim for the dimension that the target occupied!

“To the God of Space, we are no different from illustrations on a manuscript; no matter how far we flee, we can never escape the confines of that page. That beam attack was used to ‘rip the page on which we exist,’ leaving us unable to escape. Had it not been for Bella’s own Arbiter’sRight in the Divine Realm, we would have all perished!” Paimon whispered with dread. “I now understand why Nehemiah and Bella were exiled.”

“Nevertheless, there is no reason for a mortal vassal to be given such great power! Just how much does Bella dote on that girl?” Baal said in a low voice. “We must use the Light of Judgement; we cannot afford another attack of that magnitude! Paimon, help me buy time!”

Giantess Angels pouted at the angels, who were silently planning. If a person’s powerful attack was nullified in the manner that hers was, that person would also be a foul mood. Giantess Attie decided to take her anger out on the surrounding angels; she swung her arms wildly, intent on swatting them down like mosquitoes.

Unfortunately, being a giant made her slow. The angels quickly soared higher into the sky and out of Giantess Attie’s reach.

Giantess Attie glared at the angels. Before she could do anything more, a white arc of light struck her in the head. A moment later, more than a dozen arcs of light rained down on her mercilessly.

“Yeooowww! Owwwww!” Giantess Attie yelped in pain. These attacks were quite different from the previous attacks! Unlike the previous attacks, these ones caused her pain. Giantess Attie was in so much pain, she decided to assume a defensive pose. She dropped to the floor and wrapped her arms around her head — a unique defensive stance called the ‘Fetal Position’!

Unfortunately for Giantess Attie, this did little to mitigate the pain she received from the relentless Light of Judgement beams, which were being conjured by an Archangel. All the Archangel had to do was pelt his target with arcs of compressed Divine Energy. The Divine Energy in each arc of light attack was more than what the War God’s protection could protect, so some damage was able to permeate Attie’s defenses.

Giantess Attie was like a trapped cat, and Baal had enough time to shift the constellations. The stars were being changed rapidly, and the holy light was about to return to Arfin City. The angels looked to be on the cusp of victory.

Nydore could no longer bear to see her friend getting hurt. Ignoring the warnings she had received, the fairy took out her Caudillo Butterfly bow and pulled the string to its limit, causing the bow to transform into a gigantic black butterfly.

Nydore released the string, letting loose a shot, and suddenly felt unable to breathe. Before she could come to terms with that, her vision went dark, and she lost consciousness.

Her bravery was not in vain, though. The Light of Judgement attacks stopped, and the furious Giantess Attie prepared to avenge her beating. Before the giant could get to her feet, she heard a voice below.

“Attie! Yoo-hoo! Over here!!!” Giantess Attie looked down and saw the Astrologer Walker, who was jumping up and down on a rooftop, trying to get her attention. “The enemy’s stars! They are almost aligned! If that happens, that lethal bright light will bother us again! You have to stop it with your invincible War God’s sword!!!”

“Huh? How do I do that?” Giantess Attie asked, scratching her head in confusion.

“Anything at all will do! Aim at those stars and use whatever attack you have to destroy them!!!”

The constellation was a delicate and intricate system. Although it could be used to powerful and miraculous effects, the stars were not indestructible. Clustered stars were more susceptible to damage than most delicate and complicated magical formations. When the stars were in a compact cluster, one only needed a few powerful strikes to destroy them. The reason why the Fairy Walker’s bold shot shattered only three stars was because the shot had a limited range of attack.

If Giantess Attie was able to destroy more stars than the Fairy Walker did, the entire constellation would collapse, and the holy light would disappear for good. That means that the entire realm would be free of the holy light, as well. That would greatly benefit the Voidwalkers fighting outside Arfin City.

Giantess Attie nodded in understanding and looked up. “So all I have to do is aim at the stars, huh?” Without further ado, she began to gather power in her body.
