Chapter 122: <Chapter 121>

Silje couldn’t believe her ears. Her face became pale in shock, but Kail only glanced at her darkly.

He lighted his cigarette and as the white smoke appeared between them like a fog, Silje glared at him silently.

Kail was still naked and although he looked tranquil, his voice showed deep-rooted rage and jealousy.

“Did I get it wrong? You seemed like you were having such a good time with him on the photos, so I wanted to see it for myself. I wanted to appear in front of you without warning to see how you would react. I wanted to see what kind of face you would have. I was very curious.”

He whispered in a husky voice, “I just wanted to see you. I wanted to see what kind of face you would have when you saw me.”

“Just stop it! You’ve done enough damage already! Just go away! Go back to Oslo!”

She was so furious, especially at his cold mocking voice. When he looked at her silently, Silje yelled, “There is nothing going on between that man and I! Don’t start imagining things.”

His frigid gaze froze her, but she was determined to not show any weaknesses. Silje continued, “Stop making up fake stories. Christian and I are just friends. I… I have been lonely in New York. It’s true that I have been alone, and I felt deserted. Christian has been kind to me and made me feel better. Unlike you.”

Silje trembled at his angry gaze, but she continued nonetheless.

“You are crazy. You always test me and corner me until I have no choice but to fight. Unlike you, Christian is gentle and kind. He is a good person!”

The window was open, and the wind blew in loudly. Silje felt cold, both body and soul. She felt empty, just like Kail’s eyes.

How long was he going to stare at her like that? She felt like her heart was going to break just from his stare. She bit her lips hard.

“…”

After a long silence, Kail finally raised an eyebrow and replied, “Do you still not get it? Why do you think I refuse to say his name? I will not say it out loud and I don’t ever want to see him.”

He continued quietly, “My pride won’t let me acknowledge his name. Do you not understand? Look at me!”

His hair was messy as it covered part of his eyes. He was still looking at her, naked. His cold yet smoldering eyes…

So he was jealous of Christian. Despite his calm outer shell, Silje could see his obvious jealousy and anger.

She sighed deeply in frustration. She frowned because perhaps some women may find his behavior attractive, but not her. The hotter he burned for her, the colder she felt inside.

She hated the way he stared at her. It was filled with so many emotions.

Anger, resentment, loneliness, hatred, and…

She also saw love inside his eyes, which made her feel breathless.

It was her who made Kail this way. She was the one who made him into an ice monster.

This war between them could only end when one of them was destroyed. Silje bit her lips hard and said to him coldly, “Fine. So you aren’t finished with me yet? Then I won’t run away. If you need to continue, then just get it over with. I want it to end as quickly as possible.”

“Don’t you get it? Silje, I told you over and over again. The angrier you make me, the harder it will become for you. I thought I showed you already, but I suppose you haven’t learned the valuable lesson yet.”

Kail said to her slowly, “I won’t make it easy for you. I will drag it out as long as possible. I will make it as painful as possible for you. I will make you scream. What do you think? Are you excited?”

And with that, Kail lunged after her.

“Aahh!”

Although she knew that this night wasn’t over, she still screamed in shock as his naked body covered hers again. Silje was feeling weak and her body was trembling. She knew she wasn’t ready for more violent sex but she didn’t want to show him any weakness because Kail might mistake it as surrender.

Kail’s body was burning for her again, but ironically, the hotter he burned, the colder his eyes became.

“Why are you looking at me like that?”

Kail had her kneel on her knees, making Silje feel ashamed and embarrassed. When she gritted her teeth and asked, Kail asked in return, still staring at her naked back.

“What do you mean?”

“You look at me like you want to eat me… But your eyes still remain cold like ice. You look at me coldly yet hungrily at the same time.”

Kail smiled as he replied, “How astute you are, Silje. I just want to have you, that’s all. I want to make sure you can’t escape me again.”

Kail spread her legs apart and continued, “I feel like I’m burning when I am inside of you. It feels like you are going to scald me. I melt when I enter you and I can’t help but crave the feeling. I wonder if I could trap you inside of me if I enter the deepest part of you. I know it’s ridiculous, but I can’t help it.”

She was panting as Kail whispered in her ears seductively. Silje had to admit that she felt like her body was melting too.

“Open your legs and take me, Silje.”

He said to her leisurely as he thrust into her slowly, “Turn around and look at me.”

Kail turned her body around so she faced him on the bed. He continued, “Even now, you don’t beg me to stop or try to escape this situation. It’s very like you, Silje. I find this side of you very attractive. I always have.”

“I am not doing this to seduce you. I am doing this so you will leave me alone. I want this to be over. I want to be free of you by the end of this day.”

“Fine, then take me in. All of me, and perhaps, I will leave you alone.”

“As you wish.”

Kail plunged into her aggressively.

“…!”

His thickness burned inside of her and slowly but surely, the pain turned into an absolute pleasure.

“Ahh!”

Silje gasped in shock. The pleasure was so intense that it swallowed her. She couldn’t see clearly anymore. She could never get used to this sensation. She couldn’t breathe as he continued to thrust into her.

Kail looked into her eyes and every time he moved, it felt like a giant wave was engulfing her body.

“…!”

The more pleasure she felt, the angrier she became. This wasn’t her style. She wasn’t the type of woman who moaned and grabbed onto a man weakly in uncontrollable and forced pleasure.

She still resented him, but her feelings for Kail was complicated.

There was still love, but there was also hatred, especially for his family: the Bruntlands.

This was why Silje knew she had to reject him.
