Within My Sect, All Realms Unite-Chapter 23: Yan Family Guard’s
Blood sprayed across the stone wall in a crimson arc as an arm was severed cleanly from the shoulder. The limb spun through the air before slamming wetly against the surface and sliding down, leaving a smeared trail of red.
A scream of pure agony echoed through the courtyard. "AAARGH!"
A man collapsed onto the ground, clutching the jagged stump where his arm had once been. Blood poured through his fingers no matter how tightly he pressed the wound, soaking the dirt beneath him. His body was riddled with injuries deep cuts, broken ribs, bruises that had already turned dark purple. His face had turned so pale it seemed almost lifeless.
Yet the pain in his body was nothing compared to the terror in his eyes.
"Please... please leave me..." he begged hoarsely, his voice trembling. "I am sorry, Young Master Chuan... I am sorry! Please... leave my daughter... please..."
His desperate words dissolved into sobs.
From the room beside the courtyard came a sound that tore his heart apart.
A girl’s scream High, terrified and desperate. "Father!"
The man’s entire body trembled violently.
"No! Please! Please stop!" he shouted toward the closed door. "Young Master Chuan! I beg you! Let my daughter go! Kill me instead! I am ready to pay for my sins!"
Before he could say more, a blade flashed behind him Slash.
The man’s back split open under the strike, flesh tearing apart as blood sprayed outward again.
He collapsed face-first onto the ground a tall figure stepped forward slowly.
The man wore black robes embroidered with faint golden threads that shimmered under the torchlight. Covering his face was a golden mask shaped with cruel horned patterns, giving him the appearance of some demonic beast.
He grabbed the injured man’s hair and forced his head up. "Tell me, you dog," the masked man said coldly. "Where did Yan Feng run to?"
The man groaned weakly but said nothing the masked man tightened his grip.
"Where are the rest of those bitches hiding?" he continued.
This man was none other than the Captain of the Shadow Guards of the yan family, one of the very people who were included in the trap for Yan Feng’s father and mother
The injured man spat blood onto the ground.
"I... I already told you everything," he gasped. "I don’t know where they went. Please... just tell the young master to leave my daughter alone..."
From inside the room, the girl’s screams grew weaker as it continued the man’s heart felt like it was being crushed.
"Kill me if you want," he shouted desperately. "But please... let her go!"
The guard captain stared at him for a moment then he spat directly on the man’s face. "Tch."
He tossed aside the torture blade he had been using. "Bring me a cloth," he ordered one of the guards nearby.
A subordinate hurried forward and handed him one the captain wiped his blood-stained hands slowly.
"Tch... what a waste," he muttered. "That girl was quite beautiful."
He sighed with false regret. "Unfortunately, the young master has already taken an interest in her."
He chuckled softly. "Otherwise... we brothers could have had some fun first."
The words struck the man like lightning as his eyes filled with fury. "YOU BEASTS!" he roared hoarsely.
"Master Han will not spare you! All of you will die horrible deaths! Do you hear me?!"
At that moment the door to the adjacent room creaked open.
All eyes turned as a young man stepped out slowly. His robes were soaked in blood and gore.
Yet none of it belonged to him.
His expression carried a casual arrogance, as if what he had just done inside that room had been nothing more than a mild inconvenience.
Dragging behind him was a limp body the young man tossed it forward carelessly.
The corpse rolled across the ground until it stopped in front of the chained man.
"Tch," the young man said with annoyance. "Even your daughter is as stubborn as you."
He stretched his shoulders lazily. "I wasn’t even able to enjoy her properly because of her resistance."
He glanced down at the corpse with mild disappointment. "If she had simply obeyed me, she might have become my concubine... perhaps even a mistress."
He smirked. "Such a beauty wasted on a stubborn bitch."
The chained man froze as his gaze slowly lowered. The world around him seemed to disappear.
Lying before him was the broken body of his daughter.
Just hours ago, she had been alive and a cheerful girl with a bright laugh and gentle eyes. Her beauty had been known throughout the district, her kindness winning the affection of everyone she met.
Now her body was twisted unnaturally almost every bone seemed broken.
Her once flawless face was bruised and swollen beyond recognition her lifeless eyes stared at nothing.
For a moment, the man simply stared.
Then his lips trembled. "My baby..."
His voice was barely audible. "My little baby..."
A tear slid down his cheek Then another, then more. They dripped onto the ground beneath him.
Suddenly "FUCK YOU!"
The man roared with every ounce of strength left in his shattered body.
"YOU BASTARD!"
His voice echoed across the courtyard. "You will not die a good death! I swear it!"
Yan Chuan walked toward him slowly. He crouched down so their faces were level.
"You should have thought about that," Yan Chuan said calmly, "before you threw me out that day."
His eyes glinted with cold hatred. "Don’t worry."
His lips curved into a cruel smile. "Soon Han Liu will suffer the same fate." he continued "And that Yan Feng as well."
He stood up and stretched his arms slightly. "Our ancestor discovered a method a few days ago to break through the Nascent Soul stage."
The guards around him straightened proudly. "Soon," Yan Chuan continued, "the Yan Family will rise as a Great Clan."
"Maple Leaf City And much more than that..." he opened his arms wide "All of it will fall under our dominion."
The chained man stared blankly as the light in his eyes faded.
Suddenly s violent surge of spiritual energy erupted from his body and the air trembled.
The captain of the Shadow Guards reacted instantly.
His eyes widened. "Be careful, Young Master! That bastard is going to self-detonate!"
Without hesitation he lunged forward and grabbed Yan Chuan, dragging him backward with all his strength.
A second later BOOM. A terrifying explosion tore through the courtyard.
The body of the Core Formation cultivator detonated like a spiritual bomb, sending waves of destructive energy outward.
Stone shattered, walls cracked as dust and blood filled the air.
Even though the guard captain had reacted quickly, the shockwave still struck Yan Chuan.
He crashed into a pillar and coughed up a mouthful of blood. "Damn it..." he hissed, wiping his lips.
"Fucking bastard."
He glanced at the ruined courtyard with rage burning in his eyes. "Yan Feng..."
He clenched his fists. "All of these problems are because of you."
His gaze shifted toward the broken corpse of the girl. For a moment he stared at it with mild annoyance.
Then he waved his hand dismissively. "Hang her body on the city gate."
His voice was cold. "Let everyone see what happens to those who oppose the Yan Family."
The guards bowed. "Yes, Young Master."
Above them, dark clouds slowly gathered over Maple Leaf City.
As if the heavens themselves were watching the beginning of something terrible.
Far away in the mountains, Yan Feng’s heart suddenly pricked as if struck by a needle. Though the pain vanished as soon as it arrived, it already did what it had to.
