Within My Sect, All Realms Unite-Chapter 45: The Battleship and the Hunt
Time flowed steadily, and before long, the day of the Beast Forest trial arrived, bringing with it a subtle shift in the atmosphere of the sect as a quiet sense of readiness settled over the surroundings.
As Lin Xiaotian stood up and made his way toward the main hall, his expression remained calm, yet his gaze sharpened slightly as he sensed that everyone had already gathered there, their auras steady and far more composed than before.
Upon entering, his eyes swept across the hall and came to rest on Han Leu, who stood at the front, calmly assigning tasks and explaining the reward system he had arranged for the disciples, his tone measured and clear.
Lin Xiaotian paused briefly, observing the scene in silence as he noticed how seriously the disciples were taking it, their focus no longer scattered as they listened and responded with growing discipline.
The tasks themselves were simple, mostly revolving around gathering resources, hunting low-tier beasts, and handling minor sect duties, yet each was tied to rewards in a structured manner that encouraged effort.
Though the resources obtained were still low-tier and of limited value, Lin Xiaotian did not overlook their significance, as even such small gains held meaning at this stage.
What mattered was not the resources themselves, but the system being built around them, shaping habits of contribution, competition, and responsibility among the disciples.
A faint thought surfaced in his mind as he watched. When the sect grows further, a proper Task Hall will need to be established.
For now, however, this arrangement was sufficient.
Then the space around them suddenly wrapped, folded like cloth being crushed by invisible hands, and in the next instant he vanished, only to reappear in the main hall; the moment he appeared, everyone bowed deeply, "Greetings, Sect Master."
Lin Xiaotian glanced at them, his sleeves swaying slightly as he stepped forward, his voice calm yet carrying weight, "You have all done well... your progress is acceptable, your discipline has improved," he paused slightly, his gaze sharpening, "but the Beast Forest will not care about your effort only your strength."
Heh... let’s see how many of you survive acting like geniuses there just wait till I throw you in front of the beasts His eyes shone especially as he looked at Yan feng and other’s.
His eyes drifted toward Han Leu, a faint hungry glint appearing, "This time, we travel properly," he added lightly, "no crashing mid-flight, no sudden ’accidents and no embarrassing returns."Golden Core expert secured... finally I can stop flying like a beggar
Then, without warning, space twisted again and everyone vanished, and when their vision cleared, they stood on a desolate peak of the sect; the land was unnaturally flat, as if a mountain had been cleanly sliced, with only a small white array formation glowing faintly in the center.
The disciples exchanged confused looks, but Lin Xiaotian simply walked forward, placing his hand on the array and injecting spiritual qi, and with a low hum, the ground split open, revealing a hidden passage descending into darkness."Follow closely," he said calmly, "if you get lost don’t expect me to come back for you."
One by one, they entered, and as the last disciple stepped in, the array sealed shut above them; yet the passage did not darken, as rows of spiritual lamps lit up, casting a steady golden glow along the walls as they descended deeper. The air grew heavier, richer filled with dense spiritual energy that made even breathing feel different.
Then suddenly, the path widened and the next moment a vast cavern opened before them.
Every disciple froze.
Before them stood massive battleships, silent yet suffocating, their bodies forged from dark spiritual metal engraved with ancient glowing runes; their hulls were sharp like blades, their frames vast like floating fortresses, and along their sides rested enormous spiritual cannons that seemed capable of tearing apart mountains with a single shot. The air itself trembled faintly around them as if even space acknowledged their presence.
The ships from the city were nothing They weren’t even worth enough to being compared.
Even Han Leu’s breath slowed slightly as his gaze locked onto the largest one, its shadow stretching endlessly, its presence like a sleeping ancient beast waiting to awaken and dominate the skies.Lin Xiaotian watched their stunned expressions and smirked faintly, "This is what a true sect possesses."
He clasped his hands behind his back and added calmly, "Power that does not need to display itself loudly... because its existence alone is enough to suppress everything."Yeah, look properly this is the stuff I’ll use one day when I can actually afford it.
Yan Feng suddenly stepped forward, eyes shining like a child, "Master! Which one are we using to go to the Beast Forest?!"
Lin Xiaotian coughed lightly, his expression turning slightly stiff, "Ahem... we will use a good ship," he said, slowly turning, "but not these."
As he moved, another ship appeared before them refined, elegant, far superior to city ships... yet after witnessing the monsters behind them, it felt painfully ordinary.
No overwhelming aura, no terrifying pressure, no massive cannons just clean, efficient design.Oi what are these faces you think I’m made of spirit stones?
Even this thing eats a Golden Core expert and spirit stones like snacks... those monsters? Even if I drain you all dry and sell the sect treasury, they won’t even twitch.
"Board," he said flatly, waving his sleeve, and despite their slightly disappointed looks, the disciples quickly obeyed, still somewhat excited since it was far better than the pirate ship disaster.
Lin Xiaotian stepped in casually, scanned the interior once, then dropped himself into a chair that screamed comfort, leaning back like he owned the world, "Elder Han," he said with a faint grin, "as the First Elder, I grant you the honor of piloting."
The disciples instantly rushed to their seats with suspicious speed, avoiding eye contact entirely.Han Leu’s face twitched as he clenched his teeth slightly. This man... definitely planned this...
He stepped forward anyway, placing his hands on the control array and pouring in spiritual qi along with a large amount of spirit stones; his heart ached slightly at the consumption, but curiosity burned stronger. The ship hummed to life, runes lighting up one after another as it slowly rose.
Han Leu steadied himself and asked, "Sect Master how do we exit?" his voice carried genuine confusion, as he had never seen underground docks like this.
Lin Xiaotian didn’t even open his eyes, "Full speed. Far right."
Han Leu followed the instruction, pushing the ship forward, but as he saw a solid wall approaching rapidly, his expression changed, and he was about to stop-when suddenly the wall split open.
From the outside, it looked as if the mountain itself had opened its maw, and in the next instant, the ship shot out like a streak of light before the opening sealed shut again, leaving no trace behind.Han Leu’s pupils shrank as he stared at the now completely normal mountain.
"That... was a Fifth-Grade Earth Array" he muttered, disbelief evident in his voice. Used by sects as defensive formations yet here it was being used like a door.
Waste, absolute waste but also... ridiculous genius his gaze slowly shifted toward Lin Xiaotian.Just how much is this man hiding?
As the ship tore through the sky and vanished into the horizon, far behind them, within the shadows of the mountains, someone else was watching.
The figure stood completely still, cloaked in darkness, their presence blending so perfectly with the surroundings that even spiritual sense would struggle to detect them; only when the ship disappeared did the man slowly rise, his eyes narrowing.
Without hesitation, he raised his hand and hurled a spirit bomb into the air, and in the next instant, it shot upward like a streak of light, bursting silently into a distinct signal.
Far away, in a hidden stronghold, two figures abruptly stood.
Yan Chuan’s gaze snapped toward the sky the moment he saw the signal, and then he laughed, a low, twisted laugh that quickly grew louder, almost unhinged, "Heh... hah... hahaha..." his eyes gleamed with a chilling madness.
"You filthy bitch, Yan Feng I don’t know what kind of sorcery you used, or what kind of heaven-defying luck you stumbled upon to crawl into that turtle shell of a sect"
His smile widened slowly, his tone turning colder, "But now you’ve finally stepped out yourself."Walked straight into your own grave... how considerate.
Beside him, the Head of the Yan Family Shadow Guards also stood up, his aura fluctuating slightly, a faint hint of impatience and suppressed violence leaking out; after waiting for two whole months.
with no progress, even he had begun to lose his composure. His fingers twitched slightly as if itching to move immediately.
But just as he was about to give the order, Yan Chuan raised his hand. "Wait," his voice dropped, sharp and controlled now, the madness settling into something colder, more calculating.
"They are heading toward the Beast Forest... good," he smirked faintly, "we will follow them on our ship."
He slowly turned his head, his gaze darkening, "And before killing them we find out everything."That mountain and that sect... something is definitely wrong with it.
"How were they able to block us from entering that place?" his voice carried a dangerous curiosity, "That wasn’t normal not for a broken sect hiding in the dirt."
"And that trash Yan Feng" his expression twisted slightly, "how did he start cultivating again?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
A cold silence followed.
Then Yan Chuan chuckled softly, his tone filled with greed, "If there’s something behind this some hidden inheritance or some secret technique we will take it."
The Head of Shadow Guards nodded slowly, his eyes turning sharp again, the earlier impatience now replaced with focused intent. If this is real the Patriarch will not just reward us... we might rise directly.
Yan Chuan’s smile widened, his eyes reflecting cold killing intent, "Prepare the ship."
"We follow them and strip them of their secrets and then—" his voice dropped into a whisper filled with malice, "we kill them all."
Above them, the remnants of the spirit signal slowly faded and the hunt began.
