Wizard: I Have a Game Panel-Chapter 403 - 283: Heaven-Seeking’s Request (Part 2)
The Magic Crystal wasn’t in short supply anyway, since the Mechanical Wizard Tower’s warehouse wasn’t affected, but most rare materials and food supplies were destroyed.
"You’re as considerate as ever." Vincentia put on the Wizard Robe and smiled awkwardly.
"Can you tell me what just happened?" Francis asked. "Was it an accident, or is it that the current Tier Six Small Energy Furnace still doesn’t meet the standards, preventing your perfect breakthrough?"
"No, it wasn’t an accident, and the Small Energy Furnace isn’t the issue either."
Vincentia shook her head and explained, "It was just a sudden inspiration during my ascent when I initiated a half-step third Destruction Witchcraft Model fusion ahead of time."
"With this foundation, completing the third fusion in the future will be much easier."
"I just didn’t expect the fusion to cause destructive energy to escape, disturbing the two of you."
The path of Mechanical Witchcraft is one of ultimate fusion.
Aside from the Witchcraft Positions that must be distributed, other Witchcraft Positions will be used to fuse opposing elements to promote the metamorphosis of Destruction Elements.
One metamorphosis can make Destruction Elements ten times stronger than ordinary elements, deriving extreme destructive traits.
A second metamorphosis can make Destruction Elements a hundred times stronger than ordinary elements.
A third metamorphosis directly makes them a thousand times stronger than ordinary elements.
In the Fourth Ring, he completed the second metamorphosis.
Now entering the Sixth Ring, he finally has the confidence to undergo the third metamorphosis.
Once the third metamorphosis is complete, he will become a fully-formed Sixth Ring Mechanical Wizard.
"Seems like it’s a good thing after all!" Domenico interjected with a smile.
"It certainly is a good thing." Vincentia nodded repeatedly. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚
"As long as it’s a good thing." Francis breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Let’s go, to my Wizard Tower for a while."
With everything settled, from today the Wizard Alliance finally possesses some semblance of self-preservation power in the upcoming trial.
...
Wizard Calendar, Year 5501, June 8th.
The thirteenth descent of players into the Wizard Plane.
Central of the 71st layer of the Abyss, the only city covered by the Abyssal Sun, southwest in a fiery red castle.
"Fortunately, the only change this time is the mysterious Mechanical Wizard breaking through to the Sixth Ring, which is a good thing." Skyscanner sighed lightly after skimming through the Continent Communication Device’s announcement list.
The current situation faced by the Wizard Alliance makes it hard for him not to worry.
However, he soon frowned, his expression turning somewhat troubled.
This time he was not considering the overall environment of the Wizard Alliance but rather how to break through the Fourth Ring.
He’s been stuck at the Fourth Ring for a long time, or rather, all first-rate players have been stuck there, unable to make any progress.
Because promoting from the Fourth Ring to the Fifth through the game interface alone is useless, one must design a field that fully aligns with the Origin Container.
Players themselves could forget about meddling with domains, as although they can possess runes and use them, they can’t comprehend them.
To achieve this, one must rely on wizards.
"Perhaps I should seek out the Wizard Alliance... No, unite all Fourth Ring players to discuss with the Wizard Alliance?" Skyscanner pondered in his heart.
He could accept being temporarily stuck at the Fourth Ring, but not eternally.
Only by striving with the Wizard Alliance can there be any chance of changing this predicament.
He alone holds little sway, obviously unable to make the Wizard Alliance change, so he could only find all top players to submit a joint application.
Players should be... might be... probably still quite important to the development of the Wizard Alliance, and he believes those legislators shouldn’t ignore their demands.
After making up his mind, he took out his Continent Communication Device and sent a conference invitation to some of the Alliance’s key figures and all Fourth Ring players.
This matter needn’t be concealed; quite the contrary, it’s best if it can preemptively attract the Wizard Alliance’s attention, so there’s no need to discuss it specifically in reality.
Soon, beams of light appeared successively before Skyscanner’s eyes, finally stopping at the 39th beam.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I believe all of you, like me, have been stuck in the Fourth Ring without progress for a long time..." Skyscanner, seeing everyone assembled, immediately shared his thoughts.
...
Milton Continent, Magic Artifact Research Institute, in a massive laboratory filled with hundreds of thousands of light screens.
A red-marked light screen suddenly enlarged, comprising forty sub-screens, and Skyscanner’s voice emanated from it.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I believe all of you, like me, have been stuck in the Fourth Ring without progress for a long time."
"The purpose of this meeting is to address this issue."
"Currently, my preliminary thought is for everyone to jointly submit a request to the Wizard Alliance, seeking authority for Fourth and Fifth Ring wizards to assist us in deriving domains."
"If we can gain the Wizard Alliance’s support, it would be beneficial for all of us."
"Of course, expecting the Wizard Alliance to assist us for free is unlikely."
"We could offer some reciprocation within our capabilities..."
"Domain derivation?" A woman in a golden Legislator Wizard Robe, with light purple hair and a rather beautiful face, gazed at the suddenly popped-up red-marked light screen, raising an eyebrow.
After hearing Skyscanner’s words, she promptly took out her Continent Communication Device and sent a communication request to Amy.
She was genuinely surprised that players would have such a limitation.
Though in this way, it’s presumably a good thing, adding yet another means of balancing players.
How to specifically handle this matter isn’t up to her; it needs to be determined by Amy, or even Speaker Francis.
In less than a second, the communication was connected and Amy’s figure appeared on the light screen in front of her.
"Ruth, what’s up?" Amy inquired with curiosity.
Players arrived today, so she was quite busy and had no time to chat about gossip with this good friend.
"Take a look at this." Ruth inserted the video of Skyscanner’s speech into a message and sent it to Amy.
"Alright." Amy nodded, somewhat curious as she opened the video Ruth sent.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I believe all of you, like me..."
Skyscanner’s voice was heard again.
After listening to Skyscanner’s words, a smile naturally appeared on her face.
Players having new demands and being willing to offer compensation is undoubtedly a favorable development for the Wizard Alliance.
More importantly, she learned of the players’ weakness; without the help of wizards, they can’t even break through to the Fifth Ring.
This way, the Wizard Alliance can apply additional measures to control them, ensuring they contribute more honestly to the Wizard Alliance.
If it were up to her, she’d immediately contact the players to propose Contribution Points requirements.
Wizards could use Contribution Points to obtain Legislator or even Speaker positions, whereas players could use them to seek assistance from Fifth Ring wizards for domain derivation.
Unfortunately, she alone couldn’t make such a significant decision, and it’s likely Speaker Francis himself couldn’t decide alone either, potentially requiring a Small Council to be convened.
"Why are you smiling so happily, are you plotting something again?" Ruth eyed Amy suspiciously, seeing her filled with smiles.
"What good would plotting do me?"
Amy rolled her eyes at Ruth, "This matter’s quite significant, and I’m not qualified to decide, ultimately it’ll depend on the opinions of the legislators."
"No more chit-chat, I’ve got to inform Speaker Francis, hanging up."
With that, she didn’t bother with Ruth, who was glaring at her and still intending to say something, and directly ended the communication, initiating an urgent communication with Speaker Francis.
Two seconds later, a light screen emerged.
"Speaker, I just..." Amy bowed and disclosed all the information she had learned.
"Domain derivation..." Francis chuckled, "Interesting, it seems we’ll need to convene a Small Council specifically for the players today, go on with your tasks, leave this matter to me."
"Understood." Amy acknowledged with respect.
...
Betula Continent, atop the Lor Wizard Tower, in the study.
"Hmm?" Noticing his collar warming up slightly, Lor drew his focus from the River of Time Scroll and glanced at the Continent Communication Device.
It clearly displayed a Small Council invitation from Speaker Francis.
