Wizard World:Struggles of dimensions-Chapter 75
75 psionic
As the giant lost its balance and started descending, Layton who was shrouded in the huge shadow caused by the giant’s quick descent lightly tapped the ground, in the blink of an eye he had left the ground reappearing in mid-air his body right above the giant’s head clenching his fist he activated his armed haki once more and used his legs to kick the air to provide thrust moving him downwards towards the giant’s forehead, thrusting his fist to the grey skin he mobilized all the muscles in his arm, they twitched following the peculiar rhythm and even Layton’s heart and biomagnetic field broke free from their natural operations and followed the rhythm.
The fist made a loud boom as it tore through the air and hit the giants head squarely.
Although the fist was the size of a mosquito bite to a normal person but the immense power Layton’s punch generated directly penetrated the giant’s coarse stone-like skin and burst its head-turning into fragments.
As Layton landed with the now headless giant it did not take seconds before Layton leapt away dodging the giant palm that came his way, a huge handprint was imprinted in the earth as the headless giant stood up his headless body exuding steam as its head rapidly regrew right from its neck.
Layton watched this quietly he couldn’t say he was surprised because he knew it would not be that easy to defeat the giant, looking at the performance of the giant body Layton could conclude that it had the ability to connect to the earth and obtain large amounts of life force or magic to rapidly heal, and from Layton’s attack earlier through his perception of the rhythmic vibration he had sent into the giant’s body through the punch he could feel that the giant had no internal organs it was just a mass of pure muscle and tissue there were no vital points and the scholar who had been swallowed by the earth that constituted its body was nowhere to be found in its body.
Looking at the steam that appeared because of the rapid division of cells and regeneration of the giant Layton quickly estimated its healing speed, he guessed the only way to defeat this creature was to fundamentally destroy it into bits or else it would just keep on coming back and to do that he might need to use his newly discovered trump card.
All these thoughts ran through Layton’s mind in a split second as the giant who had half his head regrown had already fisted in his direction again Layton dodged the fist as he sprinted towards the giant, reaching its feet he jumped upwards sending a haki covered foot to the back of its knee, a loud crack resounded as the giant’s flesh and bones were torn once again, the giant went down once more as it wailed, taking advantage of this opportunity Layton kept on speeding up changing direction mid-air as he kept on attacking frantically hitting all joints and shattering important parts of the giant, with his rapid movements the kinetic energy of his attacks increased exponentially and every attack tore apart large clumps of flesh and bones from the giant, in a matter of minutes the giant was badly mutilated no part of its body intact as it leaned on a nearby building.
Looking at the enourmous amount of steam escaping from the giant Layton knew he finally had some time to test out his new trump card on the creature.
Layton took a deep breath relaxing his body and mind putting it back in its normal state and then activated his rune urging his 3 types of haki at the same time with his actions his eye grew bright giving off a sort of white transparent glow.
.....
The world in Layton’s eyes at the moment was completely different, there were different colours everywhere, different spaces, magnetic fields, particles, intertwined strings, obscure runes and writings and even some computer codes, this was the chaotic sight Layton perceived now this was because of his low life level and unstable cognition of the world although he could not fully perceive and his sight was in chaos but coupled with his natural intuition he could perceive substiles and sceneries he never thought of and perform subtle operations unheard of.
Since he had completed the upgrade of his rune he had felt the unique characteristics of the combination, a full sense of power and omnipotence filled his soul, he felt he could do anything, although this was just an illusion it wasn’t far off from the truth, Layton named this power psionic, from what he could feel the power resulting from the combination was one that basically utilized the full potential of his rune which was that of will and the manipulation of information.
Layton felt the power was basically infinite but his weak level and his fragile soul prevented him from fully outputting this power and utilizing it for long or using its true potential, at present he could not use the psionic to change reality without a medium his spirit was not strong enough to act as the medium, his only medium at present was his body, and this was only because his spirit had already closely merged with his body making it easier and less burdensome on his soul for the psionic to take effect on his body.
Activating the psionic Layton walked slowly towards the giant that was still healing, his every step seemed to teleport him through space, his slow steps strangely took him in front of the steaming giant, with another step he disappeared and appeared again in midair facing the abdomen position of the giant, and leisurely moved his fist forward the giant screamed in horror as it felt strangely threatened, it was the first time he was felling the threat of death, it tried moving away but he was badly oppressed he could do nothing but roar in fright and anger as the fist tore through its stomach. 𝑓re𝘦𝔀𝗲𝘣𝘯𝘰νℯ𝒍.c𝗼m
Its screams stopped abruptly, the last sight it saw was the sun fully set into the west as darkness descended.
The fist he punched now was nothing but the basic application of psionic he figured out, using his fist as a conduit he scattered and erased the fundamental information of the giant turning it into basic particles effectively killing it.
Although he did not fundamentally understand the full information of the giant’s existence he was able to guess the part of the chaotic information stream that represented its self-healing since it was presently operational and by disrupting that part of the information it was easier for him to make the whole giant collapse, after all, it was not a complete miracle after all, and destruction was always easier than creation.
