In the giant crater at the center of the nothingness where I had merged the cores was the place we had decided to leave everything that was in my Spatial Dimension. Eugene couldn’t put it in his own since this place was practically just that.

There, in the center, was an old walkman that I had taken from the pawn shop when back in Iceland when I was there with Albert and Luka.

I picked up the device and slid it into my pockets before placing the plugs into my ears.

The Walkman booted up and soon, a pop-rock song started playing. I took in a deep breath and stretched my muscles.

The music started picking up.

And as soon as the chorus hit.

"H̶̯̥̱̑̋́̀Y̵̨̳͈͛̊̀A̷̧̤͉͉̅̋͠A̴͕̯̼͛A̷̩̻̤͐̈́A̷̩̤͔̹̾̑͊!̸̧̜̗̅̒"

Invasion Navy’s cries came screeching down from above

"K̸̮̣̟̮͒͝I̷̜̔̾͐̀L̴͇̒̅L̷͎̐̕ ̶̠̦͗Ỵ̶̣͛̓̿̽͜O̸̤̯͍̍̑͑͐Ủ̷̗͚͓̞"

"Gutsy," I smirked.

This was the beginning of the second last assignment in my training from Eugene.

The assignment.

To kill an Outer God.

***

Invasion Navy worked on a simple formula. It let out clones just as strong as the enemies it faced.

And just a while back, a being that had crushed it without taking a single scratch and had tied it up for a thousand years had professed some simple words.

[Kill the kid and I’ll set you free.]

As much as it wanted to attack the child with all its strength right away, the key holder could do no more than lock people in.

"Come, foolish Outer God."

I said while staring up at it. Both the Catenes and Eugene were probably watching this match from a distance.

The Invasion Navy screamed in anger and a small mass came rumbling out of its body. Its eyes were filled with a sense of pride, I could tell they were.

It had already killed me once, what was once more?

That was what it thought.

Six of the clones that had killed me before formed from its body, but aside from their shape nothing else was similar. The Invasion Navy had shrunk by a fourth of its size and the level of the clones was at least a thousand times greater than the clones I had faced before.

"That guy made home with that thing in my old body?" A grinned as I saw the power of the clones. It was astounding.

Eugene Hall of the previous timelines, truly deserved the title of the strongest.

The clones contracted.

The clones came rushing down at me all at once, the weapons of light in hand.

One of them stopped right in front of me and swung its blade. I held its hand faster than it could swing it and punched it in the face.

The clone couldn’t even see as its head blew up in smithereens. The next one swung with a spear from the top, but it passed through me.

"Que!?" The Clone widened its eyes in astonishment.

"Ah, it became a habit for me, but I guess efficient dodges look like magic to you."

The Outer God tilted its head in the same astonishment. "Que?"

"Nada," I never learned Spanish.

I held the Outer God’s neck with a hand and kicked it. The bottom half of its body flew away as the three behind me swung their weapons at once.

It almost touched me.

And in the next moment, all three of them were flying away.

There was just one more left. I smiled toward it and beckoned it closer.

"Come on, try harder."

The clone’s eyes widened. It couldn’t figure out how the calculation done by the Invasion Navy could be this wrong.

The clone took a step back, but I wasn’t going to let it run.

"I’ll come then."

I jumped ahead at the clone and slammed my feet on the ground. The clone raised its hands in a block, but it probably didn’t know who had taught me.

The fist crushed through the bones in its white arms and slammed into its head next. Before it could blow away, all the clones that I had killed just moments ago came running toward the last and merged with it.

Six more flitted down the skies from the blip-shaped Outer God and merged into the humanoid clone once more.

I yawned and let it finish its transformation.

The beat dropped.

"K̵͚̞̯̍͘Ẏ̵̟̲̭̖̀̕͜A̶̬̫͙̗̼̓͛̾ͅA̶̢̫̋͗!̶̲̬͂̎́̓́̈́"

The Outer God swung its fist.

"Not bad?"

I parried it and stepped back. It charged right in with a kick which I blocked by slightly lifting my leg. Another swing came at my face before seemingly passing through my face.

My fist landed on its shoulder in a counter and blew its hand away, but it merged back and regenerated in the blink of an eye. An intense, unforgiving melee that would go unregistered in most eyes.

The Outer God kept powering in with its attacks while I easily redirected the force of its blows away from me.

But I guess.

"This is my limit, huh?"

No matter how many times I blew up its head and its heart, it would always go on unfazed. Not even the strongest of my blows could stop its regeneration.

I could only go this far in a thousand years. No matter how much I trained or tried, a person’s body definitely had a limit.

The clone swung its fist at my head once more. I dodged and moved to the side. It’s force carried it forward as I tripped it over its own feet.

My hands raised up high and came closer.

"Killing an Outer God with all of my power sealed is still a little ways away."

The clone’s eyes widened, and so did the eyes of the blip shaped bastard up top.

I clapped my hands.

"[Stage Zero: Unseal]"

A burst of energy spilled out of my body. Pure, dark, malevolent energy.

Even the darkness of the space that held nothing could not stand it.

And in the next moment.

"h̷̛̗é̷͓l̵̬̄p̶̣͆p̶͇̋ṗ̴̼p̶̖̕p̴̙̈́!̵̠͛!̵̼̀"

The clone went flying and crashed straight into the main body.

Five percent of my strength.

Was unleashed.
