Worldwide Class Change: Minimal Effort, Maximum Reward!-Chapter 14, Status Panel
The academy dormitory was unusually quiet that evening.
Most of the students who had returned from the wilderness training were either resting or gathering in small groups to discuss the events of the day. Stories of the Stoneback Bear had already begun spreading quietly through the academy, though the details were still mixed with confusion and disbelief.
Inside one of the smaller dorm rooms on the third floor, Lin Yi finally closed the door behind him.
The room was simple.
A bed, a desk, a small wardrobe, and a window overlooking the academy courtyard. Nothing luxurious, but it was more than enough for someone who had grown used to student life.
Lin Yi walked to the desk and sat down slowly.
Only after the door was locked did he finally relax.
The events of the day replayed briefly in his mind.
The Spineback Lizard.
The Stoneback Bear.
Chen Feng’s appearance at the academy gate.
Lin Yi tapped the desk lightly with his fingers.
"So the rumors are already spreading..."
He wasn’t particularly worried.
In fact, it had been unavoidable.
Killing a level six monster as an E-rank Laborer would attract attention no matter where it happened.
Still...
It meant he needed to understand his own strength better.
Lin Yi leaned back in his chair and spoke quietly.
"System."
A faint blue light appeared in front of him.
The familiar interface unfolded in the air like a translucent screen.
This time, however, Lin Yi focused on something he hadn’t carefully examined before.
"Open full status panel."
The system responded instantly, as a larger interface expanded before him.
.....
Host: Lin Yi
Class: Laborer
Rank: E
Level: 10
EXP: 0 / 15,000
[Attributes]
Strength: 42
Constitution: 40
Agility: 28
Spirit: 21
Free Attribute Points: 20
...
Lin Yi raised an eyebrow slightly.
"So that’s how it works..."
He quickly reviewed the numbers.
When someone leveled up in this world, their attributes increased automatically based on their class.
The system quickly displayed the breakdown.
....
Attribute Growth Per Level, for Laborer Class
Strength: +3
Constitution: +3
Agility: +2
Spirit: +1
.....
Lin Yi leaned back in his chair.
"That’s... actually pretty balanced."
For an E-rank class, those numbers weren’t impressive.
Most combat classes had far higher growth.
For example, a swordsman might gain +5 Strength per level.
A mage might gain +6 Spirit.
But the Laborer class grew evenly in several areas.
The problem was that the growth was mediocre across the board.
In other words—
Jack of all trades.
Master of none.
Lin Yi tapped the table thoughtfully.
"But with the system..."
His gaze shifted toward the next section.
.....
Class Skills
Titan’s Grip
Description:
The host possesses overwhelming physical control and grip strength.
Allows precise weapon handling and significantly increases attack force during critical strikes.
....
Lin Yi nodded slightly.
"That explains the bear."
Without Titan’s Grip, piercing through that monster’s throat would have been much harder.
Then his attention shifted again.
...
Equipment
Froststeel Hunter Dagger
Attack Power: +52
Additional Effect: Frost Energy
Effect Description:
Attacks apply freezing energy to wounds, slowing enemies and damaging internal structures.
Durability: Perfect
.....
Lin Yi flipped the dagger in his hand thoughtfully.
Originally, a Froststeel weapon would only provide a minor cold effect.
But after the system enhancement...
The freezing power had increased drastically.
That was the reason the Stoneback Bear had died so quickly.
Lin Yi nodded slowly.
"Equipment amplification is definitely powerful."
Then he looked at the final section.
...
Inventory
Windstep Hunter Boots
Stoneback Bear Armor Plate ×4
Monster Core (Low Grade) ×2
Beginner Energy Potion ×3
Academy Survival Kit
Empty Slots: 46
...
The inventory system functioned like a small dimensional storage space.
Anything he collected could be stored inside.
Lin Yi leaned back and crossed his arms.
"Not bad."
But something else caught his attention.
His gaze returned to the attribute section.
...
Free Attribute Points: 20
.....
He hadn’t spent any of them yet, but each level up granted him 2 attribute points.
These points could be distributed freely into any attribute.
Strength.
Constitution.
Agility.
Spirit.
Lin Yi tapped the desk slowly.
"If I want to survive in the wilderness..."
He thought carefully.
Strength increased attack power.
Constitution increased health and durability.
Agility improved speed and reaction time.
Spirit affected energy and skill usage.
For his current fighting style, two attributes stood out immediately.
Strength.
And agility.
Lin Yi smiled slightly.
"Let’s test something."
He raised his hand.
"Allocate ten points to Strength."
The system responded instantly.
Strength: 52
Lin Yi felt a subtle surge of power flow through his body.
His muscles tightened slightly.
Even his breathing felt steadier.
"Good."
He continued.
"Ten points to Agility."
Agility: 38
This time the change was different.
His senses sharpened slightly.
The room felt clearer.
Even the faint sound of wind outside the window seemed easier to detect.
Lin Yi flexed his fingers again.
The dagger spun effortlessly between them.
"Nice."
The improvement was immediate.
With his current stats, his combat ability had already reached a completely different level compared to ordinary beginners.
Lin Yi closed the status panel slowly.
The blue light faded.
The quiet dorm room returned.
He stood up and walked toward the window.
Outside, the academy courtyard was lit by warm evening lights.
Students moved along the paths, laughing and talking about their day.
To them, today had simply been their first real monster training.
But for Lin Yi...
Today had confirmed something important.
His way to power was to work less, gain more!
And its power was far greater than he originally imagined.
Lin Yi looked toward the distant city wall barely visible beyond the academy buildings.
Somewhere beyond those walls...
Endless monsters were waiting.
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"Looks like things are about to get interesting."
