Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 320: Cindy Lynn Will Never Appear Again
When Tanya heard Joy’s voice, her heart couldn’t help but tremble a little.
Suppressing her emotions, she said softly, "Joy, Mom wants to tell you that whether you like it or not, I am your biological mother, and Caden is your only real brother. No one can take us away from you. Abby is a very unfortunate child; her parents, she won’t ever see them again."
Joy hung her head and said nothing.
Tanya continued, "Joy, Mom knows that you didn’t mean to bully Abby. It’s just that no one taught you that not all good things in this world belong to you, and not everything and everyone revolves around you. Abby is no different from you. If her parents were still alive, she would be their darling too."
Joy wasn’t inherently a malicious child; otherwise, she wouldn’t have fought with two boys to protect Abby.
It’s just that no one had taught her how to express her anger or helped her understand that she wasn’t born superior.
Tanya had wished she had the chance, but her daughter pushed her away time and again...
"Joy." Tanya wiped away her tears and said softly, "No matter how highly you regard Cindy in your heart, Mom must tell you that she is a very bad and selfish woman. She almost killed Mom and has hurt you; she put Hypnotic in the sachet she gave you. Don’t see her again, and don’t accept anything she gives you. Okay?"
...Aunt Cindy, is she really a very bad woman?
"..."
Joy remembered that Cindy had indeed given her a sachet, and sometimes, when Dad and others weren’t around, she would suddenly become very fierce but then change back quickly...
After hanging up the phone, Joy quietly shrank back into the chair.
"Joy, what did Mom say to you?" Vincent asked while driving.
"Dad, is Aunt Cindy a bad woman who hurt me and Mom?" Joy asked.
Vincent was silent for a moment. He knew Joy was deeply attached to Cindy; during the years when Tanya was in a coma, she had treated Cindy as her biological mother...
Vincent’s original plan was for Cindy to disappear without leaving any shadows over Joy.
"From now on, Cindy will not appear again," Vincent concluded.
Caden stared at the back of his dad’s head, a bit displeased. Dad didn’t even say anything bad about Cindy. Would his sister foolishly be deceived by that bad woman again...
’Buzz buzz—’ Caden looked down at the vibrating phone; it was a message from Uncle Pierce.
Uncle Pierce: [Your mom is crying.]
Caden: "?"
Before he could ask what happened, Declan sent a second message.
Uncle Pierce: [Vincent is unreliable. I’ll give you a task, explain clearly to your sister what Cindy is. I guarantee she won’t appear in front of you again.]
Declan quickly sent the message, just as the traffic light turned green.
Declan put down his phone and adjusted the coat draped over Tanya, which was slipping off.
Tanya had been resting her eyes, thinking. His movement made her open her eyes, her eyes still red from recent tears.
Declan slightly pursed his lips and asked while driving, "What are you thinking?"
"Thinking of doing something bad," Tanya whispered.
She was completely honest with Declan.
Declan laughed, holding her hand warmly, "Princess, doing bad things is what I’m best at."
...
On the other side.
After returning home, while Vincent was on the terrace making a call, Caden secretly pulled Joy into their playroom.
Caden’s little face was serious.
"Joy, listen to what brother has to say! That Cindy is a super villain!" Caden pulled a small blackboard over, "Though Mom didn’t tell me what she did, someone else did!"
Declan had told him every detail.
Despite being young, Caden was quite mature. He processed all the information and decided to explain it to Joy in a way she could understand... He was not like Dad, who kept everything from Joy, causing her never to grow up!
Downstairs, just after Vincent finished handling a work call, Jonah reported in.
Jonah: "Mr. Hawthorne, we’ve found Cindy’s location. She’s staying at The Celestine Hotel, in the presidential suite. What’s more..."
Vincent frowned slightly, "Speak!"
Jonah braced himself, "The person who booked the room is Rhys Lucas... he’s also at the hotel and hasn’t left for days..."
"..."
Vincent closed his eyes, taking a deep breath.
Rhys Lucas, even more foolish than I used to be!!
Vincent: "Arrange for people to keep a close watch on them, make sure they don’t leave. I’m heading over now!"
