Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 331: If Tanya Can Do It, Why Can’t I?
Tanya froze for a moment.
But soon, she realized Felix Kendall wasn’t joking; his sharp eyebrows and eyes sank, and the aura from the battlefield where smoke rose all around.
He was truly angered by Yvonne.
Tanya was just about to say something when a woman’s sharp, piercing voice suddenly erupted.
"Felix, I risked my life to see you! I took a bullet for you! But when you returned home, you wouldn’t even bother to look at me, yet you come to the hospital to see this woman?!" Yvonne glared at Tanya with such hatred, as if she wanted to devour her.
She had chased Felix to the war-torn foreign place, wanting to cook for him, wash his clothes! Hearing he was in danger, she rushed over, disregarding her own safety; she could even take a bullet for him!
But this man wouldn’t even give her a glance, only getting someone to forcibly bind her and put her on a plane, sending her straight back home!
Felix could be heartless to her, it didn’t matter; she was willing to slowly warm his heart!
But why Tanya?!
Yvonne, driven mad, lunged forward.
Felix stood there, impassive, blocking in front of Tanya.
He frowned and spoke coldly, "Haven’t you gone mad enough? Didn’t The Hawthorne Family’s upbringing teach you anything about shame? Moreover, you following me overseas was purely a nuisance to me!"
Felix prided himself on being a gentleman towards women, but Yvonne’s foolishness truly danced on his nerves.
"Felix, I know I was a bit reckless...but I just really wanted to see you! I was also worried something might happen to you, that’s why I went over..." Yvonne’s eyes reddened with grievance, she bit her lower lip, trying to reach out and touch Felix, but he impatiently shook her off.
"Just because you want to see me, I have to oblige?" Felix looked at her with cold eyes, his patience worn out to the limit, "You really think you’re that important!"
"What about her then?" Yvonne pointed at Tanya behind him, loudly accusing, "Does she deserve you coming back specially to see her? She’s my brother’s ex-wife! She even has two kids already!"
Tanya looked at Yvonne’s hysterical demeanor and only found it laughable.
She thought Yvonne would improve somewhat after what happened before, but she thought too much.
Just as she was about to say something, she first heard Felix sneer mockingly.
He stepped forward half a step, staring straight at Yvonne, the pressure at that moment actually forced Yvonne to take half a step back.
"Felix..."
Felix interrupted her in a cold voice filled with disgust.
"Not even mentioning that Ms. Sinclair and I are innocent, but even if I did come back specifically to see her, so what? Does being once married and having kids make her lesser than you? Who told you that the number of marriages determines a woman’s value? According to your logic, your brother should also be a second-hand man sold at a discount!"
Yvonne blushed and retorted, "My brother is a man, how can that be the same..."
"Yvonne!" Vincent’s figure hurriedly came over and pulled Yvonne back; he first glanced apologetically at Felix, then focused on Tanya, visibly surprised for a moment.
He restrained his emotions and looked back at Felix, "Mr. Kendall, I’m sorry. My sister has caused you trouble."
Felix clearly didn’t intend to give him any face.
"If you know it’s a trouble, then deal with it early. Otherwise, the consequences of me dealing with it, The Hawthorne Family may not be able to bear."
After leaving these words, Felix turned and walked away.
"Felix!" 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Yvonne, unwilling to give up, tried to chase, but Vincent, having reached his limit, grabbed her back forcefully, "Haven’t you gone mad enough?!"
He handed Yvonne over to the driver who came along, sternly instructed, "Lock her in the car!"
"Brother!" Yvonne protested, yet the driver firmly dragged her away.
Vincent walked quickly to catch up with Tanya, who was leaving with Felix.
"Wait!"
Felix, walking ahead, slightly paused and turned around together.
Tanya’s expression remained indifferent, "Is there something you need?"
Vincent pursed his dry lips, "...Are you feeling unwell? I mean no other intentions, if you’re sick or have a cold, the two kids can stay at my place first, I will take care of them."
Now, the only topic he and Tanya had left was the children.
Tanya replied, "I’m fine, it’s Abby who got a fever, I’m here to accompany her."
"I see." Vincent was instantly relieved.
So Felix came not to see Tanya but for little Abby...
Vincent further added, "Joy and Caden will stay at my place overnight today. Tomorrow, Joy wants to stay at your place for a night, I agreed. Is it convenient for you?"
Felix, standing by, almost laughed at this point.
Being men, he of course understood the underlying meaning of Vincent’s words; he was worried there might be another man in her house.
Tanya replied calmly, "You don’t need to worry about that..."
As Vincent was about to relax, he heard Tanya’s next words, "Declan won’t casually come to my house, and our dating won’t affect the two children."
"..."
Vincent’s expression solidified, as dark as if ink could drip from it, he forced a smile, "Okay, I’ll pick up Joy the day after tomorrow."
Tanya didn’t respond to that, turning around to leave.
Watching her silhouette disappear around the corner, Vincent slowly loosened his clenched fist, his gloomy face turned away.
Jonah Rivers’ call came in at this moment.
"President Hawthorne..."
"What’s the matter?" Vincent’s tone was unfriendly.
"Cindy Lynn, she’s gone missing. I checked, and found that the boat she boarded wasn’t the one we arranged!" Jonah was a bit uneasy, "Could she have been kidnapped by another enemy? President Hawthorne, should we call the police?"
Jonah was also worried about a possible life-threatening incident.
He couldn’t care less about high-society tensions, but this matter, he was involved in it.
Vincent frowned slightly, and as he was about to speak, he suddenly sensed someone behind watching him. He stopped and turned back, seeing Declan Pierce’s tall, slender figure standing at a window on the third floor.
He made no effort to hide, even provocatively waving at Vincent.
Vincent felt a slight chill in his mind.
He almost instantly guessed who had taken action on Cindy Lynn...
Only Declan could make Cindy Lynn vanish so quietly.
"It’s nothing." Vincent calmed himself, spoke in a low voice, "You don’t need to worry about this matter. Even if something happens to Cindy Lynn, there will be someone to handle it cleanly."
In the car, Yvonne was sulking in the back seat after her tantrum. Seeing Vincent get into the car, she anxiously queried, "Brother, what did Felix say to you? Why is Tanya with him?! Felix couldn’t possibly be interested in Tanya! She’s a divorced woman, how could The Kendall Family accept such a woman..."
"Shut up!" Vincent coldly reprimanded, looking at Yvonne with anger, "Don’t you know that Felix’s biological mother remarried into The Kendall Family back then? Felix has always been very close to his mother, how dare you belittle divorced women in front of him?"
"Ah?" Yvonne panicked instantly, "How was I supposed to know Felix’s mom was also remarried! What do I do now, brother? Felix is surely mad at me, should I go apologize and explain to him?"
Saying this, she wanted to get out of the car, but Vincent pulled her back.
"Can you stop embarrassing yourself? Isn’t it obvious Felix isn’t interested in you? Have some shame, will you?"
Yvonne retorted defiantly, "When Tanya chased you, didn’t she stick to you as well! I have a better background than Tanya, and I’m not worse looking than her either. She could marry you as she wished, why can’t I win over Felix?"
