Chapter 367: Chapter 367: You Will Regret This

Victor didn’t touch Monica at all, but the more May Morgan insulted him, the more irritated he felt and the more he wanted to provoke her: "Oh, so she was a virgin; no wonder she was so shy!"

"Victor, I’m going to report you, you’re a bastard!" When she heard Victor say that, May Morgan became even more convinced that he had touched Monica, and tears of grievance started to fall.

In May’s heart, Monica was the same as Adam Owens. The two of them were the rays of warm sunshine in her life when she first came to this city during her darkest days. She still remembered how, after her dad had hit her, Monica had taken her home and wiped her tears.

Such a good girl, how could Victor just ruin her like that? Just to spite her, he so easily destroyed such a good girl?

"Go ahead and report me. We both consented to it. She didn’t seem dissatisfied; I even gave her some money afterward, and she was full of gratitude!" Victor sneered, deliberately testing May Morgan’s limits.

"Fine, you’re good, real good!" May Morgan wiped the tears off her face in anger, then suddenly picked up her phone, pointed it at Victor’s face, and said: ’Aren’t you and her mutually in love? Alright then, I’ll call her and ask. If she admits to having feelings for you, I’ll happily give her the bride’s position and fulfill both of you!’

As she spoke, May’s phone had already rung. Seeing this, Victor quickly snatched the phone from her hand and threw it to the floor. The phone shattered on the ground, completely wrecked.

"Damn it, I was just bluffing, I’m not that desperate!" Victor shouted at her furiously after smashing her phone.

May Morgan glared at him coldly for a full minute, making Victor feel uneasy under her gaze.

"Alright, alright, you don’t believe me, do you? Then make the call, ask her yourself!" Victor realized his joke might have gone too far. May had already wanted an excuse to leave him, and if he didn’t clarify things, the engagement would probably fall apart!

To clear Monica’s name, May gritted her teeth and grabbed Victor’s phone, actually dialing a number for her. Meanwhile, Monica was just coming out of the hospital, deeply troubled. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

"Monica, where are you? Are you alright?" May didn’t dare to ask too directly, so she cautiously inquired.

Having just spoken with Vincent, Monica wasn’t in the best mood, her voice was low when she said: "I’m fine, I’m doing okay."

As she was leaving, Vincent had given her a task, but it was extremely challenging. She feared she might mess it up. Besides, the Grant Family was so wealthy, and Victor’s face was full of malice. She was genuinely afraid that if things got exposed, he would kill her.

But since she’d promised Vincent, she felt compelled to do it.

Hearing Monica’s less-than-happy tone, May quickly asked, her voice full of concern: "Monica, you’re sure you’re okay? Victor didn’t do anything to you, right?"

Hearing this, Victor, standing to the side, was about to speak up. However, May shot him a fierce look, sending him back into silence.

Monica hesitated before saying to May: "Um, May, I have something to tell you. How about I come over tonight?"

Huh?

Had Monica already returned? Why would she want to come over in the middle of the night? Could it be...

May’s heart sank as she glared angrily at Victor. Victor was confused by her look. He hadn’t done anything to Monica, so why the expression?

"Fine, I’ll have someone pick you up, or better yet, I’ll come get you myself?" May was fuming over what Victor might have done to Monica and contemplating her options.

"No, I’ll take a cab to see you. I’ll tell my parents I’m not coming home tonight and stay at your place, okay?"

"Well... alright, come over then." After much thought, May eventually nodded and agreed.

After ending the call with Monica, Victor saw May glaring at him with a deeply sinister look, and he rushed to explain: ’Listen to me, I really didn’t touch her.’

May clutched his phone, glaring silently at him with a look that seemed like she wanted to devour him whole.

Victor grew anxious under her stare and quickly tried to clarify: ’I really never touched that woman. Damn, I’m just not interested in a woman who looks like a tomboy! Even if she stripped in front of me, I wouldn’t be interested in so much as a glance!’

Indeed, Monica’s looks were average, her dress not particularly stylish, and she had short hair, with a somewhat masculine demeanor. Victor had seen and been with all kinds of women; it was unlikely he’d go for someone like Monica.

However, nothing is impossible. Victor had taken Monica away in the first place to spite May. Who knew what he might have done in a fit of madness?

May glared fiercely at Victor, pointing at his face to threaten him: "Victor, when Monica arrives, I will personally ask her whether there was anything between you. If you really touched her, I won’t let you off."

Victor, having done nothing wrong, felt confident. He trusted that Monica wouldn’t falsely accuse him for no reason.

"Whatever!" Victor spat out, full of anger, as he stormed upstairs.

Over two hours later, a driver brought Monica to a villa. When May saw her, she immediately took her hand and looked her over carefully: "Monica, tell me honestly, Victor didn’t do anything to you, right?"

Monica, heavily burdened with worries, glanced at May. Seeing no one around, she quickly tugged May closer, about to whisper something, but suddenly noticed Victor coming down the stairs.

She nervously glanced at Victor, and the words she was about to speak died in her throat.

Victor noticed her unease and couldn’t help but feel a pang of dread.

"Monica, tell May the truth, did I touch you or not?" Victor approached them, sternly urging Monica to speak up.

Whether due to guilty conscience or simply being intimidated by Victor, Monica shivered, her face turning pale.

May glared coldly at Victor, gesturing for him to leave: ’With you standing here, how could she possibly speak the truth, not afraid you’d beat her to death? Get lost, I don’t want to see you.’

Victor snorted, folding his arms and looking at Monica: ’I didn’t lay a finger on you, so why are you trembling?’
