Damien froze completely.

Ivy chuckled softly. "You should have seen their faces when they died! Sigh!"

Damein’s eyes turned bloodshot.

She leaned back slightly, her gaze filled with quiet contempt.

"You knew very well that both of them could have survived if you stayed. But instead, you ran away and convinced yourself everything would be fine as long as you escaped."

Her lips curved into a faint smile. "Honestly... I’ve never seen someone as heartless as you."

Damien trembled with rage and despair. "You’re a villain!"

He pointed at Ivy again with shaking fingers.

"You vicious woman! How dare you kill your own family!"

Ivy narrowed her eyes slightly. "You already know I was adopted."

Her tone carried clear mockery. "And yet you speak with such confidence."

She shook her head faintly. "That’s honestly quite idiotic."

Damien was stunned. ’She knew...?’
