This is a story about a snake named Tycondrius waking up in a fantasy world of swords and sorcery. There is action, violence, unapologetic murder, and arrogant displays of power. There is an emphasis on combat growth as well as psychological growth on more than a few members of Guild Invictus. There is camaraderie and also the inevitable comedic dialogue amongst manly men. There are even elements of romance and Tycon running away from terrifying, powerful women. (Did you know most female snakes eat their partners after mating?)

To care for her ailing sweetheart, college student Lu Chenchen gave up her white-collar office job and chose the higher-paying caretaker profession instead. Going around in circles, she ended up at the Mao family’s home.

The Mao family background was complicated. Old Madam Mao was not her son Yanning’s birth mom, but his young aunt. His wife was Old Madam Mao’s first love’s daughter, spoiled and pampered. Despite over ten years of marriage, husband and wife were distant.

To repay Old Madam Mao’s kindness in raising him, and for the sake of his three children, Mao Yanning endured again and again – not just a loveless but outright destructive marriage.

Lu Chenchen walked on eggshells among these people – carefully serving young and old, currying favor with the lady of the house without offending the man of the house, while also worrying about his sweetheart’s illness and missing “his” elders and children back home. Her heart was like a cookie flattened between the pages of life, living a difficult and cautious existence.

However, as the saying goes, “You reap what you sow.” A life that has been polished will eventually shine with a brilliance that ordinary years cannot compare.

Xia Zhijun got the title ‘study god’ after scoring first place in the whole city. He’s the model of a good student in a teacher’s eyes: good grades, good manners, and quiet. When he wasn’t smiling, his entire body emits a cold abstinence aura. The girls only have the guts to look from afar and not get close.
Later, it was rumored throughout the entire school that even the study god would fight and hit on girls. Whoever dared to provoke his girl, he would teach you how to be a person at every minute. The night of the graduation ceremony someone saw him blocking Gu Siyi in the corner. He didn’t stop kissing even when she cried. He bit her lips and said in a raspy voice, “I’m going crazy…”
During college finals, Gu Siyi almost bursted out crying, “I’m such a failure. I won’t be able to find a good job in the future…And if I can’t find a good job, I can’t provide for myself…”
Xia Zhijun played with her pink earlobe and remarked, “I’ll take care of you.”
After they graduated, Xia Zhijun created a research company and Gu Siyi became the boss’s wife.
The commercial rocket, “Star of Siyi” was successfully launched. So everyone knew that the new technology superstar, Xia Zhijun has a wife who he spoils a lot.
