Eight hours have passed since Floki successfully won the women over and discovered he could earn rewards from obtaining new followers.

Following their acceptance, he proceeded with them to search for monsters to slay.

About six hours ago, they found a small pack of demonic flame-wolves.

The demonic flame-wolves, just as their title implied, were powered with flame affinity and could cast long-range fire magic spells at will. They could also empower their bodies, such as their claws, with fire, which granted them a boost in attack power and attack speed.

Nonetheless, the pack was pretty weak compared to Floki, and within thirty minutes, he had dealt with all of them.

But it would soon catch up to him, as not more than five hours ago, a bigger pack of demonic flame-wolves chased after them, clearly seeking revenge for their dead members.

This pack was filled with stronger flame-wolves. They were not only bigger than the ones he slew earlier, but their control over their fire affinity was far higher, making them a greater threat.

Their arrival forced Floki to invest all his experience points into himself, rising instantly to level 18, which gave him more of a boost than he had expected. Without wasting time, he clashed with the flame-wolves and easily overpowered them.

At the moment, Jabba, Anton, Angelina, and the other woman could be seen in the midst of a heap of big demonic flame-wolves’ corpses, numbering up to four dozen at least.

Jabba and Anton used some big wood they found lying around to bash the heads of the dead wolves to harvest the monster cores, while the women lingered nearby, collecting the cores into makeshift bags they had woven out of dried vines.

Several spots on the field around them were charred as a result of the fight put up by the demonic flame-wolves before they were slain mercilessly by Floki.

Floki could be seen sitting under a tree, relaxing as he analyzed his growth.

Floki felt a trace of irritation linger, but as always, the system gave him the silent treatment when he needed an answer the most.

’Whatever...’ Floki decided to ignore the issue for now and focus on the others.

Who knows? Maybe one of them might make him really happy.

It worked seamlessly, and they all returned their attention back to their tasks at hand.
