100 Days to Seduce the Devil-Chapter 929: Do You Love Her?
Day Ninety-Nine...
Two gunshots rang out at the exact same moment. The clash of gunfire came from both sides, but only one bullet hit the target.
Hanabi staggered backward as blood began to bloom from the wound. Her grip on the gun loosened, and the weapon clattered to the floor as she collapsed.
To protect Alexander, Jack also fired at her the moment she pulled the trigger.
Spade rushed forward, immediately checking on Alexander. His hands moved quickly, scanning for any signs of injury.
"Alexander, are you hit?" he asked urgently, forgetting to call him his Boss.
But Alexander didn’t respond. He hadn’t moved an inch. He stood frozen, his gaze fixed on the woman now lying in a growing pool of blood before him.
His heart clenched painfully in his chest.
Jack moved closer to Hanabi, his eyes locked on her motionless body. Without hesitation, he raised his gun again... this time aiming directly at her head, ready to fire a second.
But before he could pull the trigger, a fist slammed into the side of his face.
Alexander had lunged forward in one swift, furious motion, landing a powerful punch that sent Jack stumbling back, nearly losing his balance.
"Who said you could shoot her?" Alexander roared at him.
Both Spade and Jack were stunned at Alexander’s sudden outburst.
Jack recovered quickly, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. "She tried to kill you! I was trying to protect you!" Jack spat back.
Gritting his teeth, Alexander jabbed a finger toward the wall beside them where a bullet hole was embedded in the plaster.
"She didn’t aim at me!" he shouted. "She missed on purpose! She pulled the trigger just to give you a reason to shoot her. Don’t you get it? She wanted to die!"
Spade and Jack were at a loss for words. They couldn’t understand the situation alone. Only Alexander was clear-headed enough to figure out what Hanabi was trying to do.
Without further ado, Alexander knelt beside Hanabi. She was still conscious and smiling at him. He quickly pressed the gunshot wound using his palms to stop the bleeding.
Hanabi tried to push his hand away. "Are you dumb? Just kill me. No matter what you do, you won’t be able to get your grandfather back. Just treat this as your revenge. Kill me now, Alexander. We are enemies... don’t forget that."
Hanabi continued to encourage Alexander to end her life. She couldn’t understand why he was still trying to protect her.
"No," Alexander said firmly. "I won’t give you what you want. You’re not going to die here, not yet."
He held her body tightly, staring down at her with eyes that seemed to see straight through her.
"You’re going to be the key to getting my grandfather back. I know exactly how valuable you are to Jane and to the Sawada Clan. They won’t abandon you, Hanabi. And that makes you far too important to kill."
Hanabi’s expression shifted upon hearing his last remarks. She felt her pulse hammering against her ribs.
’No way! I can’t let him use me... I won’t be a bargaining chip to trade for his grandfather. If that happens... I have failed Sister Jane. And our godfather, Mr. Hiroshi...’
Hanabi started to regret her actions. She just delivered herself to Alexander.
’I’m such a fool! This is a mistake. A terrible mistake.’
With her left hand, she attempted to reach the gun on the floor to personally end her life.
However, Alexander was very quick to react. He snatched the gun from her and threw it far away.
Then, without hesitation, he scooped Hanabi in his arms. "We need to treat her wound. Go and get the car!" He commanded.
Jack and Spade immediately took action, following Alexander’s command. After hearing his motive for keeping Hanabi alive, they didn’t question him anymore. They also agreed that Hanabi might be the key to saving Alexander’s grandfather.
When Hanabi suddenly tried to break free from his grasp, Alexander had no choice but to act. In one swift motion, he struck a pressure point, knocking her unconscious before she could further injure herself.
Fortunately, the bullet had only grazed her right shoulder. The wound wasn’t fatal, but the bleeding needed to be stopped immediately.
Alexander brought Hanabi to their headquarters and let their personal doctor treat her gunshot wound.
As the medical team worked to stabilize her, Alexander stood just outside the room, thinking about his next move.
While waiting for the doctor to finish treating Hanabi’s wound, Alexander pulled out his phone. Alexander made his first move to contact the person with whom he could negotiate.

At Sparks Family Mansion...
Jane had just finished overseeing the kitchen when her phone rang. She picked it up only to find an unregistered number.
Narrowing her eyes, she pressed the answer call button.
"Hello, who is this?" She asked curiously.
"Miss Jane, it’s me, Alexander. The leader of the Red Dragon Mafia."
On the other end of the line, Jane fell silent the moment she heard his voice. Though he hadn’t said much yet, she somehow knew that this call was related to his grandfather.
"I know the Sawada Clan is responsible for my grandfather’s disappearance," Alexander continued, his tone calm but firm.
"I’m here to negotiate with you. I hope you will relay my message to your father, Mr. Hiroshi."
"If you still value Hanabi’s life, then you should not lay a finger on my grandfather. I captured Hanabi. Let’s make a deal." He went straight to the point, his voice sharp with purpose.
Jane was stunned at the mention of Hanabi’s name. Tatsumi’s fear happened. Hanabi took action, and now, she was captured by the Red Dragon Mafia.
"Why are you quiet? Are you going to abandon her for the sake of your revenge?" Alexander asked her through gritted teeth.
Jane tightened her grip on her phone as she sighed deeply. "Of course not. I’m willing to make a deal with you. Just don’t hurt Hanabi."
"Good. I’ll have your word, Miss Phantomflake. I won’t hurt her... as long as you return my grandpa... alive. Don’t you hurt him. I want to retrieve my grandfather as soon as possible!" There was a sense of urgency in his voice.
"Your grandpa is no longer in Country J. If you want him back, you have to travel here."
"Fine. I’m flying to your country today. I don’t want to delay this negotiation. Please bear in mind... Hanabi’s safety is in your hands now. I don’t want to hurt her," Alexander replied steadily. "But don’t back me into a corner. Don’t leave me with no choice; otherwise, I will be forced to hurt her." 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
Just as Alexander was about to end the call, Jane spoke again.
"Mr. Alexander, before I hang up, I want to ask you one question," she said, her tone serious. "Please... answer me truthfully."
Alexander paused. "...Go on. What is it?"
"Do you have feelings for Hanabi?" she asked softly. "Do you love her?"
Alexander was at a loss for words when confronted by Jane. He didn’t know how he would respond to her direct question. What if she was just trying to figure out his weakness?
After careful consideration, Alexander replied to her. "No. I don’t..."
