Chapter 192: DO YOU LIKE IT?

The twin had red hair, but they shared the same eye color like Caiden, dark green eyes. They looked adorable and equally a sweet talker, while Lucas was the quiet kid. He had a few shades darker skin than the twin, but his dimple made him more adorable.

They kept rambling about any random things, asking Zuri a few questions and after she answered one, ten would follow.

It almost felt like Zuri was listening to the voices in her head, only this time the voices were less vicious, but more curious.

She could only sigh in relief when Caiden came to look for his brothers and found Zuri was in distressed situation.

They were still in the garden and Zuri was still wearing that weird bracelet that they made for her. It looked ugly, but she didn’t take it off.

"Bye, beautiful luna!" Otis waved his hand, he was the wicked one and the oldest, while Mave simply followed his brother, though they were only two minutes apart, the information that Mave told Zuri, even though she didn’t ask.

"Bye, beautiful luna!" Mave parroted, while Rian only waved his hand and followed the siblings.

"What is that?" Caiden narrowed his eyes, after he managed to usher his brothers to his mother. Mabel had been looking for them and she was furious because she couldn’t find the twin, since she knew they would do something that would give you a headache if they were out of your sight.

"What? You don’t think I am beautiful?"

Caiden made a face when he heard that and sat down next to her. The wind was rather warm now and Shadow snuggled against Zuri’s lap when Caiden wanted to touch it, which made him made another face.

"Thank you," Caiden said.

"For?" Zuri shifted her attention toward him. Both of them were sitting on the ground, watching as grass started to come out, indicating the winter was truly over. "For babysitting your twin brothers?"

Caiden rolled his eyes. "I am sure, they were the one, who managed to get you out of the bed. They have been very curious about you, because they happened to overhear that you are the future luna of the pack."

Zuri touched the bracelet. It made of colorful rope with three small stones as the accessories.

"I thanked you because you have saved Bryden’s life. Just like how you saved mine."

"I am not that generous."

"Oh, please, just admitted it. You sent him to Wolfdale kingdom to give him a second chance to prove himself and fix his mistake." Caiden laid down on the ground, staring at the clear sky. "The same thing that you did to me."

"Well, to be honest, I did that because you, the two of you, are useful, it’s such a waste not to use you and threw away your talent."

"Well, whatever. Thank you anyway."

There was silence that stretched between them, but it was a comfortable silence. She liked it. Zuri just realized that aside from Khaos and Gayle, she was also comfortable with Caiden’s company.

"I argued with your mother," she admitted, laying down on the ground next to Caiden, but she used Shadow as a pillow.

"I know. She has been very upset because of that. Just ignored her."

Zuri couldn’t tell whether Caiden asked her to ignore Mabel because he knew his mother could be a bitch, or he simply didn’t want Zuri to lose control and attack her. Probably both.

The situation in Great Lunar kingdom didn’t look good. The discovery of princess Lyra’s addiction had shaken their nation.

Later it was revealed that the opium users in that kingdom had increased and it came from one source; Bairone. There was an internal conflict in their court and the news about the existence of the lycan only added to the complication of their situation. They closed their kingdom from the outsider.

People inside couldn’t go out, while the outsider couldn’t go in.

Meanwhile, Khaos’s scout got the news that the king would march ten thousand of his royal warriors to raze Greywolf pack, which caused panic among the pack member. Some of them tried to flee the pack and some of them stayed simply because they had nowhere to go, but the fear that the king created was a great shock to lower the moral of Khaos’s people.

"Open the pack house," Zuri said, as she settled in the same room with Khaos. Mabel prepared different room for her, but she went straight to Khaos’ bedroom every time she wanted to sleep, she even moved her things there, which irritated the woman.

Well, she did that to irritate her.

"Open the pack house?" Khaos raised his brows. He approached her and joined her in the bed. It dipped and Zuri snuggled against his chest. "Why do you want to open the pack house?"

"We still have a lot of food supply and the distribution of food is still not stable in this kingdom, because of the winter. We will have festivity."

The people’s moral was rather low because of the threat from the king, thus they needed to do something quickly.

However, convincing them with words wouldn’t do, it wouldn’t be effective, but if they opened the pack house and had a festivity to answer the threat from the king, it showed that they couldn’t care less, that Khaos had prepared for this.

It must be princess Rose’s idea to spread fear among the people, but it wouldn’t get the affect that she wanted if they didn’t care.

"Brilliant," Khaos praised her. He leaned over and captured her lips. "But, I have a better idea for that," he said against her lips.

He traced his fingers along her spine, which made her shivered in delight. Recently, Khaos touched her more intimately and she craved for it.

"What do you have in mind?" Zuri asked, panting lightly when he ended the kiss.

Instead of giving the answer, Khaos relayed it through the mindlink, which made Zuri blushed.

"Do you like it?" He asked softly against her ear.
