A Record of a Mortal's Journey to Immortality: Immortal Realm-Chapter 1312: Seclusion in the Extraheavensphere
Chapter 1312: Seclusion in the Extraheavensphere
Shui Changtian was already prepared for an attack from Han Li, and in retaliation, he swung a palm down upon him, attempting to swat him out of the sky like a bug.
His palm descended with incredible speed and the fearsome power of a tsunami, but it failed to strike its target as Han Li abruptly vanished in a wraith-like manner before reappearing behind him in the form of a devilish deity with three heads and six arms, standing at over ten thousand feet tall.
It's six arms held terrifying power, and it swung its fists through the air in a rapidfire barrage.
Countless fist projections came crashing down upon Shui Changtian's body, producing a string of deafening booms rang out in such rapid succession that it culminated in one continuous and unbroken chorus of rumbling.
The barrage was so ferocious that Shui Changtian was unable to even get away, and his suit of blue water armor was instantly destroyed, while his enormous body toppled over like a mountain.
All that could be heard was the sound of Han Li's falling fists, and vast clouds of water vapor rose up from Shui Changtian's body, permeating throughout the entire surrounding area in a radius of hundreds of thousands of kilometers.
Violet Spirit and the others were already extremely far away at this point, yet the sound was still deafening even to them, and both sides reflexively stopped what they were doing to see what was happening.
After what seemed like an eternity, the rumbling finally died down.
As the dust settled, it was revealed that Han Li had already reverted back to his human form, and laying at his feet was a mangled body that was only just barely recognizable as one that belonged to a human.
In the face of Han Li's terrifying physical prowess, Shui Changtian's Great Encompassment Stage body had been pounded to a pulp.
After unleashing that ferocious barrage, much of the pent-up negative emotions in Han Li's heart had been vented, and he bent down to pick up a storage bracelet from Shui Changtian's body, then looked into the surrounding as he suddenly smiled and said, "So you still had one more trick up your sleeve."
As soon as his voice trailed off, the surrounding space warped slightly before a series of narrow streets began to take shape before his eyes, and it was as if he had been teleported to a mortal city.
The surrounding streets were very bustling and rowdy, and Han Li could even smell the aroma of freshly cooked steamed buns wafting out of a nearby shop.
"You've concealed yourself quite well," Han Li remarked with a smile, then suddenly inhaled deeply before blowing out a forceful breath.
A fierce gust of wind swept through the air, and the entire city dissipated like the illusion that it was.
Meanwhile, Shui Changtian's soul had already fled to tens of thousands of kilometers away.
With a sweep of his sleeve, Han Li released a streak of golden sword qi that was enveloped in time law powers, and it instantly vanished into the distance.
Immediately thereafter, an anguished wail rang out, marking the demise of Shui Changtian.
The other Heavenly Court cultivators were horrified to see this, and they hurriedly fled the scene.
Shi Chuankong and Violet Spirit made no effort to stop them as they flew over to Han Li's side, right as his Mantra Domain faded away to reveal the seabed.
The surrounding seawater gushed inward, and by the time the chasm was filed, the sea level had noticeably dropped.
Violet Spirit was very relieved to see that Han Li was unharmed, and she sighed, "You've become more powerful than I could've ever imagined, Brother Han."
"It's still not enough," Han Li said.
"I didn't think we'd be ambushed as soon as we returned to the True Immortal Realm. It looks like there's going to be more trouble to come," Shi Chuankong said in a concerned manner.

"That's not really anything unexpected," Han Li said with a smile. "Do you have any plans from here?"
"I'm planning to return to the Devil Realm," Shi Chuankong sighed.
"There's been a great deal of unrest in the True Immortal Realm of late, so given your status, it would indeed be safer to return to the Devil Realm," Han Li replied with a nod.
"Why don't you come to the Devil Realm as well, Fellow Daoist Han? Uncle Xie has already left the Scalptia Spatial Domain and conquered close to half of the Devil Realm. Under his protection, you won't have to worry about being hunted by the Heavenly Court," Shi Chuankong suggested.
"It's fine, I can fend for myself. Right now, all I want is to find a place to cultivate in peace, and I have no desire to get swept up in any other conflicts," Han Li said as he took a meaningful glance at Shi Chuankong.
A slightly sheepish look appeared on Shi Chuankong's face. He had indeed invited Han Li to the Devil Realm with the intention of recruiting him as an ally.
"In that case, it looks like we'll have to part ways here as well, Fellow Daoist Han. What are your plans, Violet Spirit? Are you going to return to the Devil Realm as well?" Shi Chuankong asked.
Violet Spirit turned to Han Li, seemingly to ask his opinion on the matter.
"Like I said, the True Immortal Realm is a very unsafe place right now, so I think you should return to the Devil Realm with Fellow Daoist Shi," Han Li said.
"What about you?" Violet Spirit asked.
"Wan'er is currently in the Reincarnation Palace, so that's where I'll go," Han Li replied.
"You're going back to the Reincarnation Palace?" Violet Spirit asked as her brows furrowed slightly.
"Please don't make any rash decisions, Fellow Daoist Han! The Reincarnation Palace is powerful enough to stand toe to toe with the Heavenly Court, and we've all personally witnessed the Reincarnation Palace Master's powers," Shi Chuankong hurriedly said in an alarmed manner.
"I won't do anything reckless. At the very least, I have to reach the late-Great Encompassment Stage before I make a move," Han Li replied.
Given that both of them were cultivating one of the three paramount laws, Han Li couldn't expect to overcome the Recinarnation Palace Master at an inferior cultivation base as he could with other cultivators.
The Reincarnation Palace Master himself was only at the late-Great Encompassment Stage, yet he had been able to crush Bone Emperor with ease.
The more Han Li pursued the cultivation of the laws of time, the more he came to understand just how fearsome time law powers were, and he had a feeling that he would undergo another drastic evolution upon reaching the late-Great Encompassment Stage.
"I want to stay with you," Violet Spirit suddenly said.
Han Li's brows furrowed slightly upon hearing this.
"It's not safe to be with me right now. You should..."
"I wasn't able to stay by your side in the mortal realm or the Spirit Realm, and that's always been something that I've regretted, so please let me stay with you from now on," Violet Spirit interjected with an imploring look in her eyes.
Han Li's expression softened a little upon hearing this, and he nodded in response.
He had also felt rather indebted to Violet Spirit as he had never been able to stay with her for an extended period of time.
A bright smile appeared on Violet Spirit's face upon seeing this, and the entire world seemed to have been lit up by her beauty.
"In that case, I'll return to the Devil Realm on my own, and I'll inform Uncle Xie of your decision. May we meet again," Shi Chuankong said as he cupped his fist in a salute, and a barely detectable hint of dejection flashed through his eyes.
"Look after yourself," Han Li said as he returned the salute.
Shi Chuankong's gaze lingered on Violet Spirit for a moment, following which he sped away as a streak of silver light.
Despite Shi Chuankong's best efforts to hide his feelings, Han Li and Violet Spirit had naturally caught on to some of the telltale signs.
"Fellow Daoist Shi has helped me a lot in the Devil Realm, but I have no entanglements with him," Violet Spirit said.
"Of course, I never suspected you in the first place," Han Li said with a faint smile.
He then looked around momentarily before suggesting, "Let's get out of here as well."
With a sweep of his sleeve, a burst of golden light was released to sweep up Violet Spirit, following which he flew directly up into the sky.
"Where are we going, Brother Han?" Violet Spirit asked in a surprised manner.
"To somewhere beyond the heavens," Han Li replied with a faint smile, and before long, the two of them had passed through the Ethersphere to reach the Astralsphere.
Countless gusts of astral wind were sweeping through the air, and Violet Spirit couldn't help but feel a little fearful upon seeing this.
However, Han Li remained completely unfazed as he continued to fly onward while telling Violet Spirit about the three spheres beyond the visible sky.
Waves of golden ripples were emanating from his body, and all of the astral winds that came into contact with them were instantly stopped cold in their tracks, allowing Han Li to fly along without any degree of deceleration.
Before long, the two of them had reached the Extraheavensphere.
The black space was filled with countless asteroids and all types of chaotic energy storms, presenting a spectacular sight that stunned Violet Spirit into silence.
After a long silence, she turned to Han Li with an amazed expression as she said, "I never imagined that a place like this existed beyond the heavens. Why did you bring me here?"
"We're going to cultivate in seclusion here. If any of the Dao Ancestors of the Heavenly Court or the Reincarnation Palace try to track us down, we won't be safe from them no matter where we go under the heavens. Only in the Extraheavensphere can we ensure that we won't be found," Han Li replied.
"I see, but this place looks fraught with peril. Can we really go into seclusion here?" Violet Spirit asked in a concerned manner.
"Leave that to me," Han Li said with a smile, then continued onward while scouring his surroundings with his tremendous spiritual sense.
