Above the Great Dao-Chapter 1482 - 688: Trusted Confidant, Major Threat (Part 2)
True Master Master said, "The tree wishes to be still, but the wind will not cease. After the True King repaired heaven, the West Bull New Continent has already become a true Heavenly Immortal Realm. The Heavenly Immortal Realm will grow ever stronger, and more and more Immortals will emerge. In time, it may rival the Earth Immortal Realm. However, neither the Immortal Court nor the Heavenly Court will stand idly by."
Chen Tang said, "Master doesn't wish to ascend and hides in the Huaxia Divine Continent. Nor does he want to be an official and hides in the West Bull New Continent. Now that West Bull New Continent has prospered, you want to hide again. Master, how long will this hiding go on?"
True Master Master laughed, "I have no desire to be an official nor any ambition for fame. I only wish to pursue my Dao, to seek the secrets of the Dao. Hiding is not my intention, but merely for peace."
Chen Tang stopped and said, "Why not stop, Master? Stay in the West Bull New Continent, create a Heavenly Immortal Realm and turn it into your ideal world?"
"My ideal world?"
True Master Master shook his head and said, "The Heavenly Immortal Realm will not be my ideal world. Sooner or later, the Heavenly Immortal Realm will be like the Earth Immortal Realm, where the Holy Land is occupied by the first Ascended Immortals, and later ones can only serve them. It's just another cycle. Mr. Chen, if you do not die in the future, you too will become a ruler like in the Earth Immortal Realm. Farewell."
Chen Tang watched him leave, not trying to stop him any further.
Wu Qingyu came over and said, "Did True Master leave?"
Chen Tang nodded, his expression puzzled, and whispered, "Do you think we will also decay like the Earth Immortal Realm in the future?"
Wu Qingyu hesitated slightly, thought for a moment, and said, "Probably. I've never been to the Earth Immortal Realm, only heard it said that the Holy Land's mines and Heavenly Materials and Earthly Treasures all have owners. To survive in the Earth Immortal Realm, one must either become a Heavenly Soldier or work for others. It's even more severe than during the Thirteen Families' era. In the future, the Heavenly Materials, Earthly Treasures, and Holy Land mines of the West Bull New Continent might also end up in the hands of a few powerful people."
Chen Tang found her words quite reasonable, feeling a bit sad: "If one day we become like that, we will have failed."
True Master Master arrived at the wharf, bought a small boat, and boarded. The small boat sailed into the Dark Sea.
Behind him, the earth roared, and the seabed shook.
That was the sound of the West Bull New Continent growing.
Chen Shi repaired heaven, blending the Dark Sea Heavenly Dao into the heavens and earth of the West Bull New Continent, where Spiritual Energy thrived, including a type of Spiritual Energy called Earth Qi.
With abundant Earth Qi, mountains and land are created.
The small boat under True Master Master's feet sailed forward, the sea behind surged, and new land continuously rose from the seabed, perpetually chasing the small boat.
True Master Master looked back and saw he was still at the shore.
And within the mainland, mountain ranges, buoyed by ample Immortal Energy, gradually lifted from the earth, rising slowly into the sky.
The scene was slow and mesmerizing.
His small boat picked up speed, heading into the darkness, leaving behind the mountain and land creation far behind.
In the subsequent years, the West Bull New Continent continued to expand, but the speed slowed; still, hundreds of miles grew into the sea each year. After Chen Shi completed repairing heaven and balanced the energy, he stood up.
He sensed the West Bull New Continent and finally noticed something unusual.
The West Bull New Continent was much larger than when he repaired heaven!
Not only had it grown, but the geography had also changed.
Floating in the sky were what appeared to be Immortal Mountains, though these Immortal Mountains seemed newly formed, with soil and massive rocks constantly falling from their roots, crashing downwards.
Chen Shi slowly ascended, flying into the distance, surveying all around.
He felt as the world expanded, his Dao Realm expanded outward.
The West Bull New Continent was originally his Dao Realm, a broad realm that only a Golden Immortal at the peak could cultivate, but relying on the Outer Heaven True God as a Divine Embryo, he forcibly achieved Harmonization with the West Bull New Continent, resulting in having a Golden Immortal Peak's Dao Realm right as he became Immortal.
Now, as the West Bull New Continent expanded, his Dao Realm naturally expanded too!
With each breath, he felt his cultivation rise steadily.
"With the world's expansion at this rate, within a few years my Dao Realm could rival that of a Taiyi Golden Immortal!" he marveled.
He couldn't help but wonder, as he was still at the True Immortal Realm age, if this True Immortal commanded the Heaven and Earth Dao Power of the West Bull New Continent, wouldn't his Mana match that of a Taiyi Golden Immortal?
"The Heavenly Dao recorded in the Underground Green Palace is indeed extraordinary. There might be similar places in Penglai West! With two hundred thousand Heavenly Soldiers and Generals mining there, the mysteries of Penglai West will be uncovered sooner or later."
Chen Shi composed himself, spotting Little Dun Fairy flying towards him from a distance, so he went to meet her.
The two met, and Chen Shi held Little Dun's hand. Little Dun asked, "Husband, why did the West Bull New Continent undergo such changes?"
"Perhaps the Spiritual Energy is too abundant, causing the Earth Qi to have no outlet,"
Chen Shi walked alongside her, guessing, "Earth Qi condenses and forms Earth, and the Earth's expansion leads to the recreation of the world."
He stopped, and though Little Dun was puzzled, she saw several dozen Heavenly Horses flying from the sky, pulling a Jade Chariot behind them, with a Yellow Cloud as a canopy on the Jade Chariot, appearing very magnificent.
The group of Heavenly Horses stopped, Chen Shi boarded the Jade Chariot, extending his hand to Little Dun.
Little Dun Fairy took his hand, following him onto the chariot.
Heavenly Horses galloped, carrying the couple through the expansive Immortal Realm, traversing colorful clouds or racing through Holy Lands among the Immortal Mountains.
The two sat in the Treasure Chariot, with a Child offering fragrant tea, and another Child lighting incense in an Incense Burner held by an Immortal Crane in the chariot.
Little Dun Fairy was quite surprised, examining the children serving them, feeling that they were all like Immortals.
Chen Shi laughed, "They are the Dao Image I have cultivated, not real people. Please look, my lady."
Little Dun Fairy looked outside, watching as the Heavenly Horse Treasure Chariot entered a heavenly palace, weaving through the palaces. These palaces were carved from beautiful jade, marvelously crafted, with rainbows laying across waves, weaving in and out, exquisitely wonderful.
Within the palaces were Fairies and Immortal Children, either picking flowers or feeding fish on a bridge, as well as conducting Alchemy, forging furnace after furnace of Immortal Pills to extend life and enhance cultivation.
"This is the Jade Capital within my Dao Realm."
Heavenly Horse Treasure Chariot stopped. Chen Shi got off, leading Little Dun into Jade Capital, smiling, "After an Immortal harmonizes with the Dao, they achieve various Dao Images, as if predestined."
Little Dun Fairy observed all around, feeling that even the Heavenly Court was no better, her expression dimming, "I remember the Grand Shang Heavenly Court from back in the day, created by my forebears, filled with incense clouds, extremely splendid. The Great Shang Immortals cultivated happily, carefree and worry-free, until destroyed by the Primordial Worm. Last time I went to the Huaxia Divine Continent, I couldn't find the Shang people there. They might no longer exist..."
She felt somewhat sorrowful.
Currently, there are still some Shang people in the West Bull New Continent, but they no longer remember the Great Shang of the past.
Chen Shi stood on the bridge, looking at the Heavenly River below, "When I reached the Earth Immortal Realm, I encountered some Shang people; I will take you to meet them."
Little Dun Fairy felt slightly moved, "If I harmonize within your Dao Realm, can I enter the Earth Immortal Realm?"
Chen Shi laughed, "The ancients said, to ascend with one's house in hand; why not take my lady to ascend to the Earth Immortal Realm?"
He held Little Dun's hand, stepping outside the bridge. Little Dun Fairy couldn't help but be led by him, stepping onto the bridge.
With that single step, the world suddenly changed. She felt vast worlds, times, and darkness pouring toward her; in the next moment, everything receded. Before her, it opened up vastly with green hills and clear waters in full view.
Little Dun looked around, finding herself atop a mountain resembling a golden turtle, overlooking Immortal Mountains and Holy Lands denser than in the West Bull New Continent!
Countless Immortal family abodes entered her view, striking her with an overwhelming feeling, believing this to be the Heavenly Court itself.
"This is Penglai West, where my troops are stationed."
Chen Shi smiled, "I am now a confidant to the Great Heavenly Venerate of the Jade Emperor, appointed as Grand Marshal of all forces."
Little Dun Fairy was dubious, "Not a grave concern?"
"A confidant!" Chen Shi corrected her.
